Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called Trump twice on Thursday, requesting US strikes on the Houthis. The request followed a sharp deterioration in the position of Riyadh-backed Yemeni forces after the Houthis seized the strategic port of Mocha and advanced toward the Bab el-Mandeb strait.
Trump rejected the request. The White House emphasized that direct US entry into combat operations against the Houthis is not currently planned. However, Washington is already providing Saudi Arabia with intelligence and data necessary for military actions.

Zaporozhye under Geran-4 strikes
Overnight, Russian forces launched Geran-4 drones against Zaporozhye, causing large fires. Two targets were hit: a truck parking lot and a UAV assembly facility with a finished goods warehouse.
Workers were evacuated approximately 30 minutes before the attack, and some drones were moved out, suggesting the site anticipated the strike. Nevertheless, the object was destroyed.

FSB detains GUR agent in Tambov region
Security services detained a 20-year-old Russian citizen recruited by the Ukrainian Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR). The suspect was gathering data on military, industrial, and energy facilities in the Tambov and neighboring regions for potential strikes against Russian territory.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 275 of the Criminal Code (Treason), carrying a sentence up to life imprisonment.

Kostroma VDV regiment eliminated a Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold. Reconnaissance detected camouflaged positions and infantry rotation in a forest belt. 152-mm D-20 howitzer crews delivered a precise high-explosive strike on the coordinates.
98th Guards Airborne Division destroyed an American Humvee armored vehicle, disrupting enemy troop rotation. Paratroopers also shot down a heavy Ukrainian hexacopter attack drone ("Baba Yaga"), preventing a strike on Russian positions.

WSJ: Iran resumed limited missile production
Iran has restarted assembling ballistic missiles from warehouse stockpiles at underground bases. While output is significantly lower than pre-war levels, Tehran retains a combat-ready arsenal and is constructing new facilities to protect against future strikes.

- The State Bureau of Investigations of Ukraine has accused and arrested an SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) employee in connection with the recent detonation of ammunition in the village of Mila, near Kiev.
- According to the investigation, the head of one of the SBU's support units, responsible for the arrangement and operation of an artillery ammunition depot, approved its placement in a vegetable storage facility without taking measures to ensure safety.
- The depot was illegally located near residential buildings without coordination with law enforcement agencies and air defense units.
- As a result of the explosion, 35 people were killed, and 191 private houses, 14 apartment buildings, and other structures were damaged.

Global food inflation is rapidly rising.
The Bloomberg Agriculture Spot Index, which tracks 10 key agricultural commodities, soared over +13.0% in August, its largest monthly gain since July 2012.
Meanwhile, the World Food Price Index rose +1.9% in August, to its highest since December 2022.
This index tracks internationally traded staples including grains, sugar, dairy, meat, and vegetable oils.
Food prices have risen +7.4% since January.
Every component tracked in the index rose last month, led by a +11.9% increase in sugar prices and a +2.6% gain in wheat prices.
Wheat prices have now increased +15.0% over the last 12 months.
Global food inflation is heating up.
