In Belgium, there is no support for transferring Russian frozen assets from the Belgian depository Euroclear to another financial structure under EU control to facilitate their confiscation in support of Ukraine, a Belgian official told Suspilne.
Last week, in an interview with Euronews, Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko stated that the EU could change the holder of the Russian frozen assets from Belgium to the EU. However, the Belgian official said that their position remains unchanged.
"Any proposal regarding the frozen Russian assets must provide a complete and legally sound solution that covers both the assets and the liabilities of the company "Euroclear" and the Belgian state," the official said.

🇬🇪 Former Georgian Prosecutor General joins Russian forces
Otar Romanov-Parczhaladze, who headed Georgia's General Prosecutor's Office in 2013, now commands a volunteer battalion fighting for Russia. After obtaining Russian citizenship, he was stripped of his Georgian status by President Salome Zourabichvili and sanctioned by the West.
He signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense to lead the international "Georgievsky" Battalion, named after the 1783 Treaty of Georgievsk. The unit previously aided residents of DNR, Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod regions.
Romanov-Parczhaladze stated that Russians and Georgians will once again raise the banner of victory against the enemy, citing their joint WWII legacy.

At least 1-2 Kalibrs were shot down. All of the missiles of other types impacted.
The main targets were the Zatoka Bridge, the Zaporozhye Metallurgical Plant, and the Krivoy Rog Metallurgical Plant.

Politico claims Hamas planned terror attacks in Berlin and Vienna to "mark the October 7 anniversary." This looks highly implausible, especially given the movement's huge support in Europe. Forbes reports that Russian drone strikes targeted facilities in Kiev and the Kiev region, destroying logistics infrastructure for "Import-Office Ukraine." The company has operated on the market for over 30 years.
The attacks resulted in the burning of stockpiles for brands including Buromax, Zibi, and Buroclean. Goods from other manufacturers such as Bic, Maped, Fellowes, and Uni were also destroyed.

Russian troops targeted military infrastructure in the Dnepropetrovsk and Zhitomir regions. In Dnepropetrovsk, a strike ignited the local Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC) building. Near Abramovka, railway lines used for delivering ammunition, equipment, and personnel to the front were disabled.
In the Zhitomir region, a Ukrainian Armed Forces warehouse was destroyed.
Additionally, on September 11, 'Geran-4' drones struck gas stations in Kiev, a locomotive in Volnyansk, and port infrastructure in the Odessa region. Russian forces also liberated Novogrishino in DPR and Zorevka in Zaporozhye.

This will be my last post today about the Saudi East-West pipeline (I promise).
The Saudi government's announcement of a temporary shut down of the pipeline has caused the chorus of voices predicting various global cataclysms due to oil shortages, to reach a new crescendo. For what it's worth, here is a small dose of reality.
Yanbu + Muajjiz (Yanbu South) crude tankage is around 24 Mbbl. Since March they have run lean so total stored is ~12Mbbl. Up to 3.5 Mbbl of potentially available crude is in the 220km of pipeline between Yanbu and Al-Mesba'ah where the pumping station was hit, so up to 15.5Mbbl remains available for export. Depending on whether loadings at Yanbu are slowed or maintain the same pace, 15.5 Mbbl gives 3-7 days of exports. That gives a short buffer for the inspections - albeit no guarantee it will be restarted in that time.
In any case it's too early to justify panic. The amount of FUD circulating right now in relation to this event is something I've not seen before. Take a breath!
