Russian security services intercepted an agent of Ukrainian special services in Sevastopol. Officers detained a Russian citizen born in 1994 who was conducting reconnaissance on Black Sea Fleet facilities.
According to investigators, the suspect joined a chat of a terrorist organization banned in Russia, where he was recruited by a representative of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The man photographed military objects with his mobile phone and transmitted images to his handler.
The court has arrested the citizen; criminal cases have been opened under articles on treason and participation in a terrorist organization. Despite active cooperation with investigators, he faces punishment up to life imprisonment.
