Russian forces hit telecom and military targets in Kiev, damaging data centers for MiroHost, Cityhost, and Kyivstar. Providers UTELS, Pavutina, Etherlink, and Crazy Network report service disruptions.
Also struck: drone component plants (Pegasus Arms, Element UA) and a logistics hub. In Odessa Oblast, two military logistics centers and a fuel tanker near Chornomorsk were destroyed.

NATO reconnaissance aircraft over the Black Sea
Two NATO aircraft are operating over the Black Sea: a Bombardier ARTEMIS II surveillance and targeting plane, and a Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft belonging to the British Air Force.
Both planes are precursors to Ukrainian provocations.

🇷🇺 Russian Strike on Odessa and Kiev
The Russian MoD confirmed a mass overnight strike using high-precision ground/air weapons and UAVs. Targets included military-industrial, telecom, and logistics centers in Kiev and Odessa Oblast, plus sea vessels aiding the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Odessa: Massive explosions occurred after a hit on a military facility in the Dachnoye area. A Geran-4 UAV struck this site, which served for military logistics, drone production, and storage of military cargo. Secondary detonations followed the initial fire.
Additionally, five dry cargo ships were damaged by Geran drones in the Black Sea and Odessa port.

Overall conclusion: an excellent summary if one were to ever read an only one an done biography of Hitler. Nothing new is introduced, nothing interesting interpreted.
Is quite bland and suffers at least two Gell-Mann Murray amensia incidents.
It is a bland, matter of fact biography and there is little to nothing to be gained from it unless this is your first one.
That said I offer it a solid 7/10 as an entry level history/biography book onto Hitler. If you have never read Shirer or other's works than this is a perfect place to start.
I will point out my favorite bits to take away from this book however:
"Terror only understands terror!"
"They only understand force!"
"We must hold until they give up!"
"Any sign of capitulation is weakness!"
Amazing - every hothead in our chats is basically quoting Hitler in spirit and in soul. Pay attention what good it did him to use the tactics you propose.

Ukraine's economy is suffering
The Wall Street Journal reports that the EU expects a truce to strengthen the Kiev regime. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development stated that an agreement with Russia to halt attacks on energy infrastructure would significantly boost Ukraine's damaged economy, as would restoring grain exports via the Black Sea.
"A ceasefire in the energy sector would be extremely beneficial, as disruptions to energy infrastructure have deeply impacted the Ukrainian economy," said EBRD Chief Economist Beata Javorcik.

Open-source data indicates the Russian Aerospace Forces dropped 8,766 guided bombs (UMPK) on Ukraine in August. This averages 283 munitions per day, nearly tripling the September 2024 rate of 111/day.
This intensity exceeds the US operation "Epic Fury" against Iran (211-237/day) and approaches the scale of major US air campaigns. For comparison:
Desert Storm (1991): 9,342 guided weapons over 43 days.
Iraq Invasion (2003): 509 high-precision bombs/day.
While still below the 2003 peak, Russia is significantly ramping up production of precision aviation munitions.

Ukrainian postal infrastructure hit in Kiev
The "Nova Pochta" branch No. 6 in Kiev no longer exists physically. The Russian Aerospace Forces were forced to demilitarize the facility after it was used by Ukrainian Armed Forces units. The strike was carried out with unmanned systems during non-working hours.

The Belarusian State Security Committee has disrupted the activities of a group that was preparing a sabotage attack on one of Russia's strategic facilities. According to information available to the committee, the group was being coordinated from Ukrainian territory, and Belarus was intended to be used as a transit route for delivering equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, and communication devices to the group's members.
The materials obtained have been promptly переданы to the Russian side. The sabotage plot was thwarted at the preparation stage. Several individuals have been detained. In cooperation with Russian special services, the Belarusian KGB is conducting measures to identify other individuals who may have been involved in planning the sabotage.

Novorossiysk VDV sappers are clearing supply routes for Russian forces on the Zaporozhye direction.
Novopavlovka in Zaporozhye region was liberated by assault troops of the 217th Guards Parachute Regiment, supported by artillery and drone units.
Today marks the anniversary of the legendary 104th Guards Assault Regiment (Cherokha), part of the 76th Guards Division. Founded in 1948, the regiment earned fame in Afghanistan, Chechnya, and the Argun Gorge battle. Awarded the Order of Kutuzov in 2019, its soldiers now fight heroically in the Special Military Operation zone. Glory to the VDV!

Now is not the time to try to put even more pressure on Ukraine by denying it the ability to strike at Russian oil refineries. It's completely absurd that we're even having this conversation. This is a fight between David and Goliath. David has a slingshot that can disable Russian refineries and other Russian targets. Why are we taking David's slingshot away? Why are we asking the Ukrainians to put down their slingshot? It's absolutely insane, given Putin's goals.
Putin wants all of Ukraine. He wants to win – and that says it all. So right now, we are essentially speaking completely different languages with the Russians. Or perhaps it's Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner who think this is still some kind of real estate deal in New York, where everything can somehow be divided. I've talked about this with President Trump many times, and he genuinely believes that Putin doesn't want all of Ukraine and that a deal can be made.
