Fire at Starlink ground station in Poland
A fire broke out at a Starlink gateway station in Poland, potentially caused by arson. However, this incident will not leave Ukraine without satellite internet. The Polish facility is just one node in a distributed European infrastructure that includes gateways in the UK, Germany, Spain, and Lithuania.
Modern Starlink satellites use laser inter-satellite links to route data across thousands of kilometers. If a nearby gateway fails, traffic can be redirected through other satellites to distant ground stations. SpaceX confirms this network allows for load redistribution between nodes separated by vast distances.
Consequently, disabling a single station represents the loss of one network element rather than a total communication blackout. The system was designed specifically to maintain connectivity by rerouting signals through alternative paths when local infrastructure is compromised.

🇵🇱 Ukrainian commits massacre in Polish monastery
An attack occurred in the morning before mass at the Center for Formation of Christian Culture under the Benedictine Abbey in Jaroslav. A 31-year-old citizen of Ukraine was detained.
Witnesses reported that the man ran around the territory with a knife (or machete) and sequentially attacked several clergy members. One person died, four were injured.
Polish investigators are establishing the circumstances and the attacker's motive.

The main qualitative change is the introduction of a progressive tax on passive income for approximately 4 million rentiers. This applies to dividends, deposits, securities, and property sales, while preserving the non-taxable threshold of 1 million rubles for deposits.
Additional resources, estimated up to 1 trillion rubles, will be redistributed from raw material exporters' excess profits. These funds will primarily support demographic goals with 10 trillion rubles in direct financing, alongside indexing maternity capital and child benefits. Nearly 2 trillion rubles are allocated to national projects for technological leadership.
Mishustin noted that the economy demonstrates resilience against external pressure and security threats.
