🇷🇺 Kharkov Direction
Russian forces expand control line westward at the Lipetsk sector. Troops of the "North" group liberated Vysokaya Yarga and advanced across the highway toward Bugaevka.
In the Volchansk pocket, the ring tightens as Russian troops liberated Rublenoe, Nesterne, and Shabelnoe. Fighting continues for Lukashovo, Reznikovo, Serdobino, Kupino, and Grachevka. Enemy attempts to break out are failing, leaving isolated groups in a catastrophic position.
Additionally, Russian forces strike Ukrainian positions near Veliky Burluk, depleting reserves and disrupting logistics.

🇷🇺 Southern Bridge in Dnepropetrovsk Under Sustained Drone Attack
Recent strikes have significantly damaged and loosened the upper stay cables on one side of the Southern Bridge. While not yet fully severed, continued attacks carry a high probability of rendering the structure inoperable.
Analysts estimate that 3-4 more hits could destroy the support cables. The current strategy relies on drones and ballistic missiles, as FAB bombs with UMPC glide kits face delivery challenges. Floating pontoon crossings are being prepared by the enemy but remain highly vulnerable.
There is speculation regarding potential use of the Oreshnik system, though testing appears stalled.

Ukraine risks losing domestic steel production by 2027
According to GMK Center forecasts, steel smelting will drop by 39% in 2026 and may fall to zero in 2027. Metallurgical export revenue is expected to decrease by approximately $2.5 billion in 2026 and another $2.5 billion in 2027.
Additional damage includes the need to replace domestic steel with imports, costing roughly $1.5 billion in 2027. The cumulative deterioration of the trade balance compared to 2025 is estimated at $6.5 billion.
Iron ore mining is also predicted to plummet: by 37% in 2026 and a further 55% in 2027. The longer metallurgical capacities remain idle, the more difficult and expensive their subsequent restart will be.

🇪🇺 Western Embassies Plan Relocation from Kiev
Western nations are developing contingency plans to move their diplomatic missions out of Kiev. While diplomats publicly pledge to remain in the capital, private sources confirm preparations for relocation to western Ukraine (including Lvov) and potentially into eastern Poland.
The primary driver is the increased frequency of Russian strikes on Kiev. One diplomat noted the situation is "deteriorating rapidly." Evacuation protocols may be activated if Russia targets foreign diplomatic facilities directly. Sources indicate that a shift could occur as early as this autumn due to negative trends.

Lukashenko: Belarusian economy built on Soviet legacy
Belarus is primarily a machine-building nation, with its industrial and agricultural foundation established during the Soviet era. Lukashenko emphasized that no new economic base was created post-independence; instead, Belarus preserved existing Soviet assets without dismantling them.
He noted that during the USSR, Belarus was a showcase republic for adopting advanced construction technologies. Lukashenko cited President Putin’s praise: "Well done for preserving what you inherited from the Soviet Union." He stressed that even when weak, no global issue was resolved without the Soviet Union.

US deploys two Patriot batteries to Saudi Arabia and Qatar
One battery per country is assigned to protect key oil and gas facilities. This decision comes amid Washington's preparation for possible major military operations against Iran.
The new systems were transferred from other US commands. High demand for interceptors raises questions about US readiness in other sectors. Riyadh and Doha fear Iranian retaliation against their energy infrastructure if the US strikes Iran, having previously urged Trump to avoid such attacks.

🇷🇺 Russia Targets Ukrainian Industry
Key Strategic Points:
- Rail Infrastructure: Destroying locomotives (600-800 total) is critical as gauge differences prevent foreign replacement. Depots, stations, and transformers are also key targets.
- Data Centers: Strikes here disrupt intelligence sharing with Palantir and financial operations.
- Agriculture: Elevators and grain storage facilities should be burned to cut export revenue.
- Plastics: The polymer industry supports drone/missile bodies and requires total elimination.
A proposed weekly strike schedule includes: Monday (data centers), Tuesday (metallurgy), Wednesday (chemicals), Thursday (grain/logistics), Friday (light industry), Saturday (food), Sunday (military logistics/recruitment).
Goal: Cripple the production cycle entirely to force a quicker end to the conflict.

🇷🇺 Russian Drones Strike Kiev's Southern Bridge
Multiple Geran-4 UAVs targeted the bridge supports in Kiev. Ukrainian sources claim air defenses failed, with residents observing direct impacts.
Tactical Goal
Russia aims to disable the structure by striking it from various angles. Analysis suggests hitting anchor nodes or pylons is more effective than cutting cables, as a 30-40% loss of stays could cause collapse. Current damage is localized; heavy machinery movement may be restricted, but full destruction has not occurred yet.
