John McDonnell MP has criticised the UK government after MPs voted to proscribe Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation alongside neo-Nazi groups Maniacs Murder Cult (MMC) and the Russia Imperial Movement (RIM) on Wednesday.

McDonnell voiced his worries over the move, saying he had not seen "an assault on civil liberties like this, maybe for a generation," and vowed to fight against the decision alongside others in the House of Commons.
