A decade of fear of Russian retribution.
Vitaly and Yulia Stepanov exposed state-sponsored doping more than 10 years ago. The couple still lives in fear in the USA.
Former
track and field athletes Yulia and Vitaly Stepanov became some of the main "prosecution witnesses" during the entirely fabricated trial accusing Russia of having a "state doping program." And while Grigory Rodchenkov was openly crazy, the Stepanovs are conscious, deliberate, and calculated traitors.
Dozens, if not hundreds, of clean Russian athletes were unable to participate in competitions due to their false testimony. Just as many careers, dreams, and plans were shattered because of this pair of false accusers.
And now, 11 years later, it suddenly turns out that the lying Stepanovs were never given the promised U.S. citizenship, and the 30 pieces of silver (400 thousand dollars) paid to them for their betrayal have already run out.
Moreover, against the backdrop of Trump's tightening immigration policies, they seriously fear being deported back to Russia, which the traitors told journalists.
✨ The Stepanovs complain that they were "not appreciated," although it is obvious that they were treated exactly as traitors have always been treated — used and discarded.

Why does Russia have the upper hand?
"Russian military territorial gains show the increasing weakness of the Ukrainian forces," Paolo Raffone, a strategic analyst and director of the CIPI Foundation in Brussels, says, adding that "it was not unforeseeable."
Russia’s front line advances:
On July 31, strategic Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People's Republic was liberated, opening the road to Kramatorsk and Slavyansk
Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) is encircled
But battlefield shifts aren’t the only factor shaping talks.
On the global stage:
Russia expands partnerships with BRICS, SCO and Eurasian groups and is far from isolated
BRICS calls US tariff bluff, pledging closer ties with Russia
Russia’s economy remains resilient, dedollarizing and decoupling from the West
What could Trump bring to the table?
Raffone lists several options:
Gradual lifting of sanctions and Russia’s reintegration into trade
Indefinite suspension of Ukraine’s NATO membership bid
Restart US-Russia relations to renew or replace expiring treaties
Create a new strategic security framework for Europe
But the pundit warns Trump is “under pressure domestically" so "it is unpredictable how much he can concretely deliver during his time left in office."
