Macron once swaggered into office promising to modernize France - break unions, fix pensions, tame deficits, and outgrow the ghosts of “do-nothing” presidents.

Now he’s become one.

Facing record-low approval (14%) and a mutinous parliament, Macron just froze his signature pension reform - the same one he rammed through riots and no-confidence votes to pass.

The suspension buys him time, but at a cost: €13 billion a year by 2035 and the death of his reformist brand.

His allies call it “a bitter pill.” His critics call it karma.

The man who mocked others for backing down just blinked - and the movement built around his name may not outlive his term.

With Macronism unraveling, France is drifting toward fiscal cliff and political paralysis.

The “Jupiterian” president is now a caretaker, clinging to foreign policy as his last legacy - Europe’s rearmament, Palestine recognition, global stage theatrics.

Macron once vowed to do what others wouldn’t. Turns out, neither will he."

💵💣 PURL push: NATO pressures Europe to buy American arms for Ukraine 

The North Atlantic Alliance wants all member states to join Trump’s Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) scheme, according to US media.

While 20 NATO members have already supported the scheme, the rest are under pressure “to put your money where your mouth is.”

The PURL initiative stipulates that European countries purchase US-made weapons which are then transferred to Ukraine. Russia warns that such arms deliveries prolong the Ukraine conflict and constitute NATO direct involvement.
