NO WOMAN IS FAULTLESS, SO BE CONTENT WITH WHAT ALLĀH HAS GIVEN YOU
Women are the strongest in having physical desires. A man might see a woman fully clothed but still think she is prettier than his own wife.
He only thinks about the good parts of a woman, but after he gets married to her, or takes her as a concubine, he continues to ponder upon her faults. He never used to think about those faults in the past, so afterwards becomes bored with this woman, and seeks something different.
Little does he realise that getting a second wife might entail many hardships such as the second wife lacking religion, sound intellect, good management, or love. So he misses out on more things than what he gains.
This is why fornicators commit this crime. They interact with a woman while all of her faults are hidden, and all of her beauties are apparent. They enjoy her for that moment, then move on to another one. So a wise man must realise that he can never get everything that he aims for:
“You would not accept it save if you close your eyes and tolerate therein.” {al-Baqarah: 267}
In fact, the women of this world were not condemned by anything more than the verse:
“They will have pure women therein (Paradise).” {al-Baqarah: 25}
A proud person stays away from the sight of dirt, and the idea of bad manners.
So he must be content with what resides inside in terms of religious values, and adequate from the outside—this way he will live with inner contentment and a sound heart.
Seeking more will cause his heart to become further occupied, and his religiosity less powerful.

OUR PROPHET WILL BE A WITNESS AGAINST, OR FOR HIS UMMAH ON THE DAY OF RESURRECTION
ALLĀH says;
How (will it be) then, when WE bring from each nation a witness and WE bring you (O Muhammad ﷺ) as a witness against these people?
That is, how will it be, how will the great judgement be, when the judgement in which the One Who will judge has perfect knowledge, perfect justice and perfect wisdom is combined with the testimony of the best of humankind, namely the Messengers who will testify against their nations, along with the confession of those against whom judgement is passed? This, by ALLĀH, is the most comprehensive judgement, the most just and the greatest.
Then those against whom judgement will be passed will confirm the perfect grace and justice of ALLĀH, and will utter words of praise. At that point, some people will be blessed with triumph, success and honour, and others will be doomed to disgrace, shame and the humiliating punishment.
Hence ALLĀH says:
"On that day, those who disbelieved and disobeyed the Messenger" that is, those who combine disbelief in ALLĀH and HIS Messenger with disobedience towards the Messenger
"will wish that the earth could be levelled over them" that is, that it would swallow them and they would become dust and become nothing.
{Tafsir As-Sa'di}
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said, “By the One in whose hand is my soul, you will all surely enter Paradise except one who refuses and wanders away from ALLĀH like a stray camel.” It was said, “Who would refuse to enter Paradise?” The Prophet said, “Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me will enter Hellfire.” {Al-Mu’jam al-Awsaṭ #808}
The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) also said: "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, none from this nation of Jews and Christians hears of me, and then dies without having faith in my message, but that he will be an inhabitant of Hellfire." {Muslim #153}

THE TRIALS OF PROPHET AYYŪB: A VALUABLE LESSON FOR THE WORSHIPPERS OF ALLĀH
ALLĀH tells:
And (remember) Ayyūb, when he cried to his Lord:"Verily, distress has seized me, and YOU are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy." So WE answered his prayer and removed his adversity,
ALLĀH tells us about Ayyūb (Job), and the trials that struck him, affecting his wealth, children and physical health.
He had plenty of livestock, cattle and crops, many children and beautiful houses, and he was tested in these things, losing every thing he had. Then he was tested with regard to his body, and he was left alone on the edge of the city and there was no one who treated him with compassion apart from his wife, who took care of him. It was said that it reached the stage where she was in need, so she started to serve people (to earn money) for his sake. The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"The people who are tested the most severely are the Prophets, then the righteous, then the next best and the next best."
According to another Hadith:
"A man will be tested according to his level of religious commitment; the stronger his religious commitment, the more severe will be his test."
The Prophet of ALLĀH, Ayyūb, upon him be peace, had the utmost patience, and he is the best example of that.
Yazid bin Maysarah said: "When ALLĀH tested Ayyūb, upon him be peace, with the loss of his family, wealth and children, and he had nothing left, he started to focus upon the remembrance of ALLĀH, and he said:
'I praise YOU, the Lord of lords, Who bestowed HIS kindness upon me and gave me wealth and children, and there was no corner of my heart that was not filled with attachment to these worldly things, then YOU took all of that away from me and YOU emptied my heart, and there is nothing to stand between me and YOU. If my enemy Iblis knew of this, he would be jealous of me.'
When Iblis heard of this, he became upset. And Ayyūb, upon him be peace, said:
'O Lord, YOU gave me wealth and children, and there was no one standing at my door complaining of some wrong I had done to him. YOU know that. I used to have a bed prepared for me, but I forsook it and said to myself: you were not created to lie on a comfortable bed. I only forsook that for YOUR sake.'"
This was recorded by Ibn Abi Hatim.
Ibn Abi Hatim recorded from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet said:
"When ALLĀH healed Ayub, HE sent upon him a shower of golden locusts, and he started to pick them up and gather them in his garment. It was said to him, 'O Ayub, have you not had enough!'
He said, 'O Lord, who can ever have enough of Your mercy!'"
The basis of this Hadith is recorded in the Two Sahihs...
(ALLĀH said)
and WE restored his family to him (that he had lost) and the like thereof along with them.
...
as a mercy from Ourselves,
...
and a Reminder for all those who worship US.
means, 'WE made him an example lest those who are beset by trials think that WE do that to them because WE do not care for them, so that they may take him as an example of patience in accepting the decrees of ALLĀH and bearing the trials with which HE tests HIS servants as HE wills.'
And ALLĀH has the utmost wisdom with regard to that.
{Tafsir Ibn Kathīr (Abridged)}

REWARD FOR INTENDING CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER, EVEN IF MISSED
Abu Huraira, may ALLĀH be pleased with him, reported: The Messenger of Allāh, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

Some people have died while singing songs, while others have died while reciting Qur'ān.
Some people have faced death when a cinema hall caught fire while others faced Malakul-Maut in a stampede during Hajj.
Different people. Different Actions. Different Ways of Dying.
How would we like to face death? While dancing in a disco or while in sujūd in a masjid? While singing songs or reciting Qur'ān?
When it's time the Angel of Death does not wait for us to come out of disco to take our souls. They reach wherever we are and do their task.
Leave all the acts of disobedience to ALLĀH today, from now itself. Because if your life will be spent in the obedience of ALLĀH then you will die as obedient slaves in sha ALLĀH.

ALLĀH PLACES LOVE OF THE RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE IN THE HEARTS
ALLĀH said;
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection.
ALLĀH, the Exalted, informs about HIS believing servants, who work righteous deeds -- deeds that HE is pleased with because they are in accordance with the legislation of Muhammad -- that HE plants love for them in the hearts of HIS righteous servants. This is something that is absolutely necessary and there is no avoiding it.
This has been reported in authentic Hadiths of the Messenger of ALLĀH in various different ways.
Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Verily, whenever ALLĀH loves a servant of HIS, HE calls Jibril and says, "O Jibril, verily I love so-and-so, so love him." Thus, Jibril will love him.
Then, he (Jibril) will call out to the dwellers of the heavens, "Verily, ALLĀH loves so-and-so, so you too must love him."
Then the dwellers of the heavens love him and he will be given acceptance in the earth.
Whenever ALLĀH hates a servant of HIS, HE calls Jibril and says, "O Jibril, verily I hate so-and-so, so hate him." Thus, Jibril will hate him.
Then, he (Jibril) will call out amongst the dwellers of the heavens, "Verily, ALLĀH hates so-and-so, so you too must hate him."
Then the dwellers of the heavens hate him and hatred for him will be placed in the earth."
Al-Bukhari and Muslim reported narrations similar to this.
Ibn Abi Hatim recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whenever ALLĀH loves a servant of HIS, HE calls Jibril (saying), "Verily, I love so-and-so, so love him."
Then, Jibril calls out into the heavens and love for him descends among the people of the earth.
That is the meaning of the statement of ALLĀH, the Mighty and Sublime:
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection."
This was also reported by Muslim and At-Tirmidhi and At-Tirmidhi said, "Hasan Sahih."

MOCKING OTHERS IS A SIGN OF IGNORANCE
ALLĀH said,
They (Children of Isreal) replied, “Are you mocking us?” He (Mūsā) responded, “I seek refuge in ALLĀH from being among the ignorant!”
The ignorant man is the one who speaks nonsense, in which there is no benefit, and he is the one who mocks people. The wise man, on the other hand, thinks that one of the greatest shameful acts that undermine one’s religious commitment and rational thinking is mocking a person who is a human being like him; even if he is superior to him, that superiority requires him to show gratitude to his Lord and compassion towards HIS slaves.
{Tafsir As-Sa'di)
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said, "The believer does not insult others, he does not curse others, he is not vulgar, and he is not shameless." {Sunan al-Tirmidhī #1977}
/channel/alBaseeroh_Ins
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"Whoever sends Salah (peace and blessings) upon me once, ALLĀH will send Salah upon him ten-fold, and will erase ten sins from him, and will raise him ten degrees in status." {An-Nasaa'i, #1297}
“Of your best days is Friday. On it Adam was created; and on it his (soul) was taken; and on it is the blowing (of the Trumpet); and on it is the Swoon. So, increase in sending your Salah upon me, for your salah upon me are presented to me.” {Sunan Abī Dāwūd #1047}
Sending Salah upon the Prophet (ﷺ) is amongst the most virtuous acts of worship. Rewards are written; the servant's sins are forgiven; and his status is elevated. So there are plenty of rewards for reciting Salah every day, especially on Fridays.

Preventing loss and increasing profit in any worldly activity, however big or small, requires continuous monitoring and assessment through inspection, measurement and accounting. One can see how careful people are in calculation of their material wealth. Yet, surprisingly, some of them do not look into their human, moral and religious accounts even once during their life. What a terrible negligence! A responsible and vigilant Muslim is one who examines his account everyday without exception. If he has done a good deed, he tries to continue it, and if he has done evil, he repents for it. ALLĀH says: "O you who have believed, fear ALLĀH. And let every soul look to what ˹deeds˺ it has sent forth for tomorrow and fear ALLĀH." (59:18)

THE COMMAND TO STICK TO THE PATH OF ALLĀH
ALLĀH says: "ALLĀH wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow their desires wish to see you deviate entirely ˹from ALLĀH’s Way˺." {An-Nisā || Verse 27}
Ibn Mas’ud (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) drew a line in the sand with his hand and he said, “This is the straight path of ALLĀH.” Then, the Prophet drew lines to the right and left, saying, “These are other paths, and there is no path among them but that a devil is upon it calling to its way.” Then, the Prophet recited the verse, “Verily, this is the straight path, so follow it and do not follow other ways.” (6:153). {Musnad Aḥmad #4437}
Dr. Saleh As-Saleh (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: "Those who examined the Qur'ān and Islām found a complete code for life that requires man to fulfil the purpose of his existence on earth. ALLĀH does not want man to be enslaved to any false deity: nature, drugs, lust, money, other men or women, desire, or sex. This holds true for Muslims and non Muslims. HE gives the proofs that HE Alone is the One Who can deliver man to free himself from the slavery to any form of creation and to turn to his Creator Alone. HE is the First, nothing before HIM. HE is the Last, everything ends except HIM. HE is Most High, nothing above HIM." {The Purpose of creation and the return to the creator || Page 3}
Sometimes, in order to achieve happiness, people attempt to follow complicated paths; they fail to see the easier path that is Islām. The key to happiness is knowing and worshipping ALLĀH. When one worships and remembers the Creator as HE should be worshipped and remembered, happiness can be observed all around us, at any given moment. The guidelines provided by Islām allow us, imperfect humans, to seek happiness in this world. The key to being happy in this world and the next is seeking the pleasure of ALLĀH, and worshipping HIM, without associating partners with HIM.
/channel/alBaseeroh
We live in a world where we want things immediately. But, all around us, ALLĀH teaches us a profound lesson, again and again: everything is a process and takes time.
“Indeed, your Lord is ALLĀH, who created the heavens and earth in six days” {7:54}
ALLĀH could have created the heavens and the earth and all between them in less than a blink of an eye - as HE says: “Indeed, OUR word to a thing when WE intend it is but that WE say to it, 'Be', and it is.” {16:40} -but HE designed it to take 6 days.
HE could have made a baby in a moment, but HE designed it to take 9 months, more or less.
The Prophet’s ﷺ mission could have been completed in a year or two. But, ALLĀH designed it to take 23 years.
You may not always see the fruits of your effort right away. Don’t get discouraged.
All things take time. And to all things is a process you cannot speed up.
Therefore, success is dependent upon patience, as the Prophet ﷺ mentioned: “And know that victory comes with patience” {Hadith Nawawi #19}

LIVE WITH WOMEN HONORABLY
ALLĀH said,
And live with them honorably,
by saying kind words to them, treating them kindly and making your appearance appealing for them, as much as you can, just as you like the same from them.
ALLĀH said in another Ayah,
And they have rights similar over them to what is reasonable. (2:228)
The Messenger of ALLĀH said: "The best among you is he who is the best with his family. Verily, I am the best one among you with my family."
It was the practice of the Messenger of ALLĀH to be kind, cheerful, playful with his wives, compassionate, spending on them and laughing with them. The Messenger used to race with Aishah, the Mother of the Faithful, as a means of kindness to her.
Aishah said, "The Messenger of ALLĀH raced with me and I won the race. This occurred before I gained weight, and afterwards I raced with him again, and he won that race. He (ﷺ) said: "This (victory) is for that (victory)."
When the Prophet was at the home of one of his wives, sometimes all of his wives would meet there and eat together, and they would then go back to their homes. He and his wife would sleep in the same bed, he would remove his upper garment, sleeping in only his lower garment. The Prophet used to talk to the wife whose night it was, after praying Isha' and before he went to sleep.
ALLĀH said,
Indeed in the Messenger of ALLĀH you have a good example to follow. (33:21)

THE MESSENGER'S WAY
ALLĀH tells HIS messenger to say:
قُلْ هَـذِهِ سَبِيلِي أَدْعُو إِلَى اللّهِ عَلَى بَصِيرَةٍ أَنَاْ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِي وَسُبْحَانَ اللّهِ وَمَا أَنَاْ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
Say, "This is my way; I invite to ALLĀH with sure knowledge, I and those who follow me. And Glorified and Exalted be ALLĀH. And I am not of the idolators."
ALLĀH orders HIS Messenger to say to mankind and the Jinns that this is his way, meaning, his method, path and Sunnah, concentrating on calling to the testimony that there is no deity worthy of worship except ALLĀH alone without partners.
The Messenger calls to this testimonial with sure knowledge, certainty and firm evidence. HE calls to this way, and those who followed him call to what ALLAH's Messenger called to with sure knowledge, certainty and evidence, whether logical or religious evidence,
And Glorified and Exalted be ALLĀH.
This part of the Ayah means, I glorify, honor, revere and praise ALLĀH from having a partner, equal, rival, parent, son, wife, minister or advisor. All praise and honor be to Allah, glorified HE is from all that they attribute to HIM,
The seven heavens and the earth and all that is therein, glorify HIM, and there is not a thing but glorifies HIS praise. But you understand not their glorification. Truly, HE is Ever Forbearing, Oft-Forgiving. (17:44)

THE COMMAND TO LISTEN TO THE QUR'AN WITH THE UTMOST ATTENTION
ALLĀH says,
When the Qur'ān is recited, listen to it attentively and be silent, so you may be shown mercy.
This command is general and is applicable to everyone who hears the Book of ALLĀH being recited. He is enjoined to listen to it and remain silent. The difference between listening and remaining silent is that remaining silent is an outward action, that requires one to stop talking or doing anything that may distract you from listening to it.
Listening, on the other hand, means lending your ears, focusing your mind and contemplating the meaning of what is heard. The one who does both of these things when the Book of ALLĀH is recited will attain a great deal of good, abundant knowledge, renewed and ongoing faith, increasing guidance and understanding of his religion. Hence ALLĀH has made attainment of mercy dependent on these two things. This indicates that if a person does not listen and remain silent when the Book is recited to him, he will be deprived of his share of mercy and will miss out on a great deal of good.
One of the most emphatically enjoined instructions with regard to listening to Qur’anic recitation is the requirement to listen attentively to it and remain silent during the prayers in which the recitation is done out loud. When the imam is reciting, the worshipper is instructed to remain silent. In fact the majority of scholars say that remaining silent and listening attentively to the imam is more important than reciting al-Fatihah or any other sūrah.
{Tafsir As-Sa'di}
This (listening and remaining silent) is to the contrary of the practice of the pagans of Quraysh, who said,
"Listen not to this Qur'ān, and make noise in the midst of its (recitation)." (41:26)
Ibn Jarir reported that Ibn Mas'ud said; "We would give Salams to each other during Salah. So the Ayah of Qur'an was revealed;
When the Quran is recited, listen to it attentively...

TEN WAYS BY WHICH THE TONGUE IS MISUSED
4⃣. As-sukhriya wal istihzaa’ (Mocking and laughing at others)
As-sukhriya means to say something which degrades someone and puts them down. It could be verbal or a subtle indication or could even be an imitation. The aim is to ridicule and make others laugh at the person.
People who speak ill of others are usually those whose upbringing has not been up to the mark, and who have not learnt proper social manners. They are not perhaps, aware that all human beings are honored and equal in ALLĀH's sight except through piety, and no one has the right to humiliate or hurt another. They also forget that it is quite possible, that those whom they ridicule may be better people than themselves, because of their good qualities. ALLĀH said:
“O Believers! Let not a people ridicule ˹another˺ people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule ˹other˺ women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by ˹offensive˺ nicknames.” {Al-Hujurāt || Verse 11}
Commenting on this verse, Imām al-Qurtubi (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: "In general, no one should dare to ridicule another person even if that person was shabby, handicapped or inarticulate, for that person may be more sincere or may have a purer heart than the one who is not shabby or handicapped or inarticulate. In this case, ridiculing such a person would be despising someone whom ALLĀH has honored." {Tafsir Qurtubi}
The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade expressing pleasure at the misfortune of a Muslim brother when he said: "Do not express pleasure at the misfortune of a brother lest ALLĀH should bestow mercy upon him and make you suffer from a misfortune." {Sunan al-Tirmidhī #2506}.
Mocking others is a disease and like all diseases, it is an unnatural twist of human nature. It needs a cure. That can only happen when the one mocking realizes the seriousness of his actions and questions his motives. Scholars have compared mocking others to putting a knife through their soul and murdering their morale and confidence. Just as doing that to the body would be deemed extremely serious, such assaults on the soul must also not be taken lightly.
Only those whose souls are impure because of arrogance and pride mock others. They endeavor to hurt others because of the feeling of superiority that runs in their diseased veins. Shaytān ridiculed Ādam (peace be upon him) and said, “I am better than him” and so he became a loser. Had he thought carefully of the characteristics of Ādam (peace be upon him) he would have realized that Ādam was superior to him.
May ALLĀH protect us from being arrogant towards others and ignorant of ourselves. Aamīn.

When the son of Adam dies and his soul departs, he is placed in his grave, marking the beginning of the first stage of the Hereafter. The grave is considered the initial phase of this journey. Just as death is inevitable, the questioning in the grave is also unavoidable. Two angels are assigned to question him, asking about his beliefs in this world: who his Lord was, what his religion was, and who his Prophet was.
If a person succeeds in this questioning, the subsequent stages will be easier; however, if he fails, the following experiences will be significantly more difficult. Success and failure will be determined entirely by the faith of a person and what they did during their life.

PROHIBITION OF AIDING WRONGDOERS
ALLĀH says,
And incline not toward those who do wrong,
Ali bin Abi Talhah said that Ibn Abbas said: "Do not compromise with them."
Ibn Jarir said that Ibn Abbas said: "Do not side with those who do wrong."
This is a good statement. This means: "Do not seek assistance from wrongdoers, because it will be as if you are condoning their actions (of evil)."
lest the Fire should touch you, and you have no protectors other than ALLĀH, nor you would then be helped.
This means that you will not have besides ALLĀH any friend who can save you, nor any helper who can remove you from HIS torment.
{Tafsir Ibn Kathīr}
Anas ibn Mālik (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) cursed ten with regard to alcohol: the one who squeezes it, the one for whom it is squeezed, the one who drinks it, the one who carries it, the one to whom it is carried, the one who pours it, the one who sells it and consumes its price, the one who buys it and the one for whom it is bought." {Sunan al-Tirmidhi #1295}
Abdullāh ibn Mas’ud (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "ALLĀH has cursed the one who consumes usury (interest), its client, its witness, and its recorder." {Musnad Ahmad #3799}

ALLĀH'S SIGNS AND BLESSINGS IN THE RAIN.
ALLĀH mentions HIS innumerable blessings to HIS servants,
And WE sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount,
meaning, according to what is needed, not so much that it damages the lands and buildings, and not so little to be insufficient for crops and fruits, but whatever is needed for irrigation, drinking and other benefits. If there is a land that needs a lot of water for its irrigation but its fertile soil would be carried away if rain fell on it, then ALLĀH sends water to it from another land, as in the case of Egypt, which is said to be a barren land. ALLĀH sends the water of the Nile to it, which brings red soil from Ethiopia when it rains there. The water brings the red soil which is used to irrigate the land of Egypt, and whatever of it is deposited is used for agriculture, because the land of Egypt is infertile, and most of it is sand. Glory be to the Subtle One, the All-Knowing, the Most Merciful, the Forgiving.
and WE gave it lodging in the earth,
means, 'when the water comes down from the clouds, WE cause it to settle in the earth, and WE cause the earth to absorb it and the seeds etc. in the earth to be nourished by it.'
and verily, WE are able to take it away.
means, 'if WE wanted to cause it not to rain, WE could do so;
if WE wanted to divert it towards the wilderness and wastelands, WE could do so;
if WE wanted to make it salty so that you could not benefit from it for drinking or irrigation, WE could do so;
if WE wanted to cause it not to be absorbed by the earth, but to remain on the surface, WE could do so;
if WE wanted to make it go deep underground where you would not be able to reach it and you could not benefit from it, WE could do so.'
But by HIS grace and mercy, HE causes sweet, fresh water to fall on you from the clouds, then it settles in the earth and forms springs and rivers, and you use it to irrigate your crops and fruits, and you drink it and give it to your livestock and cattle, and you bathe and purify yourselves with it. To HIM is due the praise and thanks.

PROHIBITING EXTRAVAGANCE
ALLĀH said,
Eat and drink, but do not waste.
Al-Bukhari said that Ibn Abbas said: "Eat what you wish and wear what you wish, as long as you avoid two things: extravagance and arrogance."
Ibn Jarir said that Muhammad bin Abdul-A'la narrated to us that Muhammad bin Thawr narrated to us from Ma'mar from Ibn Tawus from his father who said that Ibn Abbas said: "ALLĀH has allowed eating and drinking, as long as it does not contain extravagance or arrogance."
This chain is Sahih.
Imam Ahmad recorded that Al-Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib Al-Kindi said that he heard the Messenger of ALLĀH saying: "The Son of Adam will not fill a pot worse for himself than his stomach. It is enough for the Son of Adam to eat a few bites that strengthens his spine. If he likes to have more, then let him fill a third with food, a third with drink and leave a third for his breathing."
An-Nasa'i and At-Tirmidhi collected this Hadith, At-Tirmidhi said, "Hasan" or "Hasan Sahih" according to another manuscript.
Ata Al-Khurasani said that Ibn Abbas commented on the Ayah,
Eat and drink, but do not waste. Surely HE does not like the wasteful.
"With food and drink."
Surely HE (ALLĀH) does not like the wasteful.
Ibn Jarir commented on ALLAH's statement: "ALLĀH the Exalted says that HE does not like those who trespass the limits on an allowed matter or a prohibited matter, those who go to the extreme over what HE has allowed, allow what HE has prohibited, or prohibit what HE has allowed. But, HE likes that what HE has allowed be considered as such (without extravagance) and what HE has prohibited be considered as such. This is the justice that HE has commanded.
{Tafsir Ibn Kathīr}
Abdullah ibn Amr (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) passed by Sa'd while he was performing ablution. The Prophet said, "What is this extravagance?" Sa'd said, "Is there extravagance with water in ablution?" The Prophet said, "Yes, even if you were on the banks of a flowing river." {Musnad Aḥmad #7065}
Anas (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) reported: "The Prophet (ﷺ) would perform ablution with one mudd, or half of a kilogram, and would perform a ritual bath with one sa', or two kilograms, up to five mudd." {al-Bukhārī #198, Muslim #325}

Al-Ḥasan Al-Baṣrī (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said:
"I have approached folks with no flaws, but when they paid lip service to people's flaws, ALLĀH have made flaws for them.
And I have met others with flaws, but when they refrained from talking about people's flaws, ALLĀH covered up their faults."
