Trump threatens another "little Epic Fury" against Iran
US President Donald Trump has threatened to launch another military operation against Iran, as Washington quietly withdraws diplomatic personnel and relocates troops from bases across the Middle East in moves resembling preparations ahead of the initial US Israeli strikes in February.
"We may do another little Epic Fury, or they"ll agree," Trump declared during a campaign rally in Florida on Friday, referring to the military offensive launched against Iran on February 28.
"If they're smart, they'll just say, let's get down to business," he added, before expressing doubt that Tehran would agree to Washington's demands...
...because the "big" one went so well.

...Trump laid the charges against the Islamic Republic in a Thursday Truth Social post, stating that the Middle Eastern nation was employing multiple tactics to raise prices.
"Iran is doing everything they can to drive up the price of Oil prior to the US Midterm Election," the US commander in chief stated. "They are even making up fake hits, mines, and everything else, because more Oil is coming through the Hormuz Strait now than it did even prior to the beginning of the Conflict."

AIPAC ends direct campaign contributions for US candidates
The largest and most powerful pro Israel lobby group in the US announced on 21 October that it would no longer directly endorse congressional candidates, make direct campaign contributions, or send member donations to candidates.
Instead, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) will encourage members to donate directly to specific candidates or through other pro Israel political action committees (PACs).
AIPAC announced the move in a letter to supporters on Wednesday, in a subtle acknowledgment that support for Israel has become a liability for political candidates following three years of Israel's genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.

A Ukrainian official remarked that Kiev feels excluded from the decision-making process that will shape the country’s future: "It seems like all of this is happening without us."

Vladimir Zelensky responded affirmatively when asked if Ukraine is ready to accept a peace deal involving the loss of territory.
"Yes, right now we have to freeze, and I think this is a real way to end this war," he told a Fox News host who asked if he would "accept a peace deal that freezes everything the way it is right now," where Kiev "keeps 75% or more of the country."

France: Paris police enforce overnight curfews in targeted zones to quell unrest
Paris police have instituted an overnight curfew across two specific areas of the French capital in an effort to curb a resurgence of violent disorder.
The measure was announced following days of severe nationwide unrest sparked by mass demonstrations over rising living costs and student grievances, which quickly escalated into some of the worst rioting France has experienced in years.
The emergency curfews are designed to restore public safety and protect commercial and residential zones from further destruction following widespread property damage, arson and looting.
According to the Paris police prefecture, the curfew took effect at 11 P.M. and runs until 6 A.M. the following morning. In tandem with the overnight restriction, authorities also instituted a ban on all public gatherings and demonstrations starting at 8 P.M. in the targeted zones...

US war chief meets Netanyahu, "regional representatives" during unannounced Israel trip
US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth made an "unannounced" visit to Israel and held talks on Iran with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week, Hebrew media reported on 20 October.
The Monday evening meeting also included Israeli War Minister Israel Katz, as well as representatives from "regional" countries, according to Israel's Channel 12. US media outlet Axios reported the meeting as well.
"The meeting with Netanyahu took place at Ovda Air Base in southern Israel, where US refueling planes and fighter jets are deployed. Hegseth also met with US troops at the base," sources told the outlet.
The meeting coincides with "US Israeli discussion about potentially resuming major combat operations against Iran," the report states...

New energy shock hits Germany
Petroleum product prices have soared in Germany, with gasoline and diesel nearly 49% more expensive and heating oil nearly doubling over the past year, according to official figures.
The surge comes as Europe's largest economy continues to grapple with the fallout from its break with Russian energy in 2022, now compounded by the US Israeli war against Iran.
Prices for refined oil products jumped 51.3% year on year in September and 8.2% from August, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reported on Tuesday. Heating oil surged 91.8%, motor fuels rose 48.6%, and naphtha, used in chemical manufacturing, climbed 53.8%...

Macron bans protests
French President Emmanuel Macron has announced a crackdown on public demonstrations, ordering authorities to ban protests and restrict even officially organized marches as nationwide unrest over soaring living costs and deteriorating public services continues.
The restrictions, announced Thursday following an emergency meeting with intelligence chiefs and senior ministers, come ahead of another wave of demonstrations planned for Saturday, after some of France's worst street violence in years.
Macron said local authorities would prohibit deemed "illegitimate" gatherings organized by individuals or groups deemed to lack authority, while demonstrations arranged by recognized organizations, such as trade unions, would be considered for approval but could be required to use alternative routes...

European governments should stop worrying about their growing dependence on American AI, US tech giant Palantir's top executive for the UK and Europe has said. Instead, they should focus on the advantages the products offer, particularly against Russia, Palantir UK CEO Louis Mosley believes.
The European Commission is frantically trying to reduce reliance on American tech and the US in general. "Europe is going to have to accept some dependency," Mosely told Bloomberg News this week.

I have watched the process closely, and Data Centers that were highly unpopular in a certain area, have become extremely popular when a financial deal is struck. MAKE DEALS, and get them built!"

A government-commissioned review by former chief schools inspector Sir David Bell is out Wednesday, and the government is set to accept all 27 recommendations in full.
They include teacher training on hostility toward Jews, lessons to help students "recognise and confront" anti-Jewish content and conspiracy theories online, and strengthened guidance on political impartiality, so teachers aren't seen "imposing their own views" on students. Bell's survey claims one in five students witnessed such hostility and three in five Jewish students experienced it.
The review uses the IHRA definition, the one that can treat calling Israel a racist state as hatred of Jews, and its remit explicitly covered protests outside school gates and "geopolitical events."
Translation: after three years of Gaza on their phones, teachers who talk about it will be told to stay "impartial," and students who react will be reported.

Elon Musk on Monday pledged to give one share of his company SpaceX to "every kid in America" next year. The offer arrived a day after artificial intelligence company Anthropic announced in a social media post that it will commit 5% of its shares to a new "public benefit" fund.

White House envoy declares kinetic action against Yemen "fruitless"
US special envoy Tom Barrack conceded that a "ground kinetic" battle in Yemen by the US "seems fruitless" during a talk at the Global Security Forum in Qatar on 20 October.
"I think the president's been clear that he supports Saudi Arabia and the backing that they need logistically he will supply. But America getting involved in a ground kinetic battle somewhere else seems fruitless."
Barrack is Washington's ambassador to Turkiye and special presidential envoy for Syria and Iraq. He admitted that military force has failed in Yemen and that Riyadh is in a "very difficult position."
"These kinetic reactions have never worked. It doesn't work. It's probably not likely that it's going to work," he said...

Tehran warns citizens against traveling to EU states gripped by massive street protests
On 19 October, the Iranian Foreign Ministry urged its citizens to avoid nonessential travel to France, Belgium, and Italy as popular unrest and violent police repression spread across the continent.
"Compatriots currently in France, Belgium and Italy are advised to avoid being in tense areas and conflict zones and to avoid unnecessary travel, especially in unstable areas," the ministry said.
The ministry urged Iranians to take its safety recommendations seriously given the worsening security situation, warning that conditions could deteriorate further and lead to movement restrictions and disruption to public transport.
It also told citizens to check the latest security and transport conditions before setting out and to keep the contact details of Iran's diplomatic missions in the three countries close at hand...

Ukrainian run money laundering ring busted in Poland
The nine member operation allegedly processed $86 million in less than two years for clients involved in online fraud.
The group was described as part of a broader international network helping criminal enterprises launder illicit proceeds in statements released on Monday by the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Lodz and the Internal Security Agency (ABW). Ukraine has become a major hub for online and telephone fraud operations, many of which are said to enjoy protection from corrupt government officials.
Polish investigators said the group laundered more than $86 million between February 2025 and July 2026. Authorities seized approximately $250,000 in cash and gold during the arrests...
There is roughly a zero chance this corruption doesn't go all the way back to the Pentagon, the CIA, and the White House. Every high ranking member of the mafia gets his share of this. I have no doubt in my mind.
