Monat Energy Supplement: A Review
I’ve been trialing some Monat products, for no other reason than my curiosity far overpowered my fear for my hair. I’m losing it anyways, what’s the worst that can happen? So this month, I had the option of adding their Energy supplement as my OnlyForYou, and here’s my review:
Folks, I have put some things in my face. I’ve eaten at a COP chow hall in Afghanistan. A DFAC at Ft. Hood. I’ve eaten newlywed cooking. I regularly drink Sugar Free RedBull on purpose. I’ve worked at GNC twice and sampled every Magical Nonsense Powder they offer. My grasp on the gross is exquisite.
What the fuck Monat? How did you manage to bring out the worst part of every single ingredient on this list? I’ve had every single one of the main herbal components in their raw form, and they never tasted like flash-fried garbage, until you herded them into this single-use Tube Of Lies against their will.
Also, did you fucking forget that the end state was supposed to be a liquid? Listen, I realize that ground-up plants aren’t the most solvable substances. That’s why you used extracts, which is supposed to solve that. And yet, I have swallowed a solid 1/3 of the packet across four horrible, powdery, bitter clots passing through the straw like the birth of my bad choices coming straight for my taste buds.
I think the worst part of this is that they’re at least business savvy enough to send Deluxe samples so I have to figure out how to endure this experience five more times. Will report if I find a way to beat this product into submission.

A vent about losing a friend to Amway
This summer my friend said she had something to tell me. She had been approached at Target by a woman who complimented her shirt and then told her about a great opportunity. When my friend told me it was Amway I laughed in her face (which was not a nice friendship move but I was shocked). We ended up in a gigantic fight about how Amway is a shit company and she compared her doing Amway to me working for a hospital. Did you guys know hospitals were MLMs too?!? /s
It’s been about seven months and she never mentioned Amway to me again. She promised me she would never try and sell to me or family and I urged her to be wary of buying products. Here and there she’s mentioned “webinars” to me and meeting up with mentors. I don’t really comment on it.
Tonight I went to watch a tv show with her (in masks). I have trouble sleeping. I work third shift so I wake up a lot in the middle of the night on my days off. She’s been mentioning something to help me sleep. I didn’t think anything of it. As I was leaving she handed me a bottle of sleeping gummies. She went on a little speech about how they help her sleep, they are so good, etc. I asked where she gets them. She didn’t answer. She then went on to say how great her husband sleeps with them. Right on the bottle is AMWAY.
After getting in a huge fight about it...how could she hand me a product. Not say it’s from Amway and push it? Did she think I wouldn’t read the bottle and take it, miraculously sleep well because of 3 mg of melatonin and ask her for more and start purchasing from that shit company? It feels like she’s being sleazy and secretive. My feelings are hurt and I’m pissed off. I don’t even know if I should bring it up with her.

An Open Letter To The MLM That Almost Ruined My Life: ItWorks
Dear ItWorks,
Its been nearly 2 years that I stopped selling your products. Ever since I left your company, I've done a lot of growing as a person and its safe to say that I'll never give you, or any MLM a chance ever again. In 4 months, I'll be graduating with a degree so I can work in an industry that you fear the most: Cybersecurity.
You see, cybersecurity professionals are tasked with keeping the Internet, and other forms of digital communications safe. We do so many types of jobs that all take part in making sure that we are kept safe from the dangers that come from the digital world. We're well versed on how social engineering works, which is something MLMs are skilled at using, but for all of the wrong reasons.
Even as I was a distributor for your company, I was socially engineered by my upline to be a scammer. I was socially engineered into doing things I can never imagine myself doing now. I was socially engineered to believe I wasn't doing enough when I failed to make sales.
Us people in the cybersecurity industry are TIRED of seeing people fall victim into social engineering scams. We work endlessly in educating the public about these scams and the dangers of falling into one. With this pandemic, I'm sure MLMs have gained a large amount of people to sell their products because they lost their jobs and need something to make ends meet. Cybercrime has skyrocketed since the pandemic because many people are working remotely, and many remote workers may not know what social engineering is.
MLMs are using the pandemic to take advantage of vulnerable people who need to make ends meet, or people who are using this time to better their health. But I'm a firm believer that the truth will always eventually come out. Now that cybersecurity professionals are going full force about educating the public on social engineering scams, people are avoiding MLMs and getting out of them. So, be prepared to face all the backlash when people come out with stories as to why they left MLMs, and be prepared to face the consequences.
I'm not a victim, but I'm a SURVIVOR who will not back down! As someone who is about to enter the cybersecurity industry, its my job to keep others safe from potential danger. I will use my story to educate others so what happened to me, won't it happen to anyone else.

Interesting Info from a Consultant
I reached out to an active consultant I know to see if she might have an idea if the leggings to match my fruit stripe gum/footlocker employee classic.(see prior post.)She said she had only ever seen it on classics and Julias. I decided to order a pair of OS from her since I have decided my next goal is to fit into a pair. I was shocked to see she had constellations. That was one that always got snatched up, even when things slowed. I remarked on this to her and get this! When they sent the 100 pairs for $200 care boxes earlier this year, she got 20 pairs of constellations. Since we can reasonably assume the $2 pairs were just old shit they had laying around, not new patterns, chances are they were just sitting on these to make them more scarce. Anyway, this consultant had kept half of them and swapped for other stuff she had so that the hospital she donated her 100 pairs to had more variety. (The staff probably would have preferred the constellations to what ever was collecting dust in her unsold stock.) Any way, just more proof of incompetence. Could have sent those leggings to retailers at $9 a pop. Instead, they go out for $2 killing profits. When will they just implode already.
The styles have gone off the deep end with ridiculousness. They retired their decent styles failing to realize it wasn't the style top that was the problem, it was the butt ugly prints. Just another lula fail.

I WISH I had screenshot before I unfriended. Little bit of backstory I used to be a doTERRA wellness advocate Way back in the day when I really did drink all the Kool-Aid. I definitely learned that an MLM structure was bad news and really challenging to actually make any money but I ended up staying in the Facebook groups because I enjoy the sense of community. Fast forward to years and years later and the leader of the group is heavy anti-medicine, anti-vax, says the virus is a conspiracy.... and told thousands of followers that if they must get the vaccine because their work requires it that they should purchase six various oils and give themselves coffee enemas for 10 days straight. That was it. That was WAAAAAAAY too much for my bullshit meter. Unfriended, unfollowed.
