Don’t you love the SCAM when THE WORST Elomir hun claims another hun’s customer testimony is from her OWN CUSTOMERS? And how about huns making false medical claims, customers comparing these “miracle” strips to Suboxone, and that worst hun claiming a 6 figure salary?

These people are giving everything away. Like they are so money hungry that anyone can access anything! It’s like every person who got in late to their previous mlm but knew the secret of getting in early and here we have this new company! It’s gross me greedy. And they giving this unrated supplement to children 🤯🤯🤯

Forever Living, do I need to be concerned?
Someone who I see regularly in a medical capacity was asking me about a vitamin i was deficient in and was being managed by a different doctor.
I explained I'd had a prescription for several weeks of high dose tablets of that vitamin and was then instructed to stay on over the counter doses, for the foreseeable future, after that prescription ended.
After i explained this they then mentioned to me that the otc place I had bought the vitamins from were "very low quality" (??) and that they sold for forever living "which isn't a scam, ignore what it says on google" (alarm bells screaming at this point) and I just kind of dismissed it and said I was happy with what I had and I don't have much money to waste on random stuff when I already have something that is working for me (my vitamin levels have increased to close to normal-woot).
They then talked about some Aloe product and how it had "healed" a different client from a serious condition (that is a permanent condition without radical surgery as far as I know).
I really really like this person, they're doing such a great job with me and my progress etc i really don't want to upset them but if it comes up again is there anything I should be aware of that might be a problem?
I think I'm just going to focus on how expensive it is and that I have an allergy that makes me super cautious about trying new stuff that isn't made in conditions without that allergen etc.
I'm also a bit worried about them being sucked into this if it is one of the bad ones because they're so lovely and have gone through some serious grief in the last year and I worry its made them vulnerable to the tactics these companies often employ.

Offended a Hun so bad I got blocked
I wasn't even that bad. She reached out after posting something for Octavia on FB that included the income disclosure (blurry and unreadable) boasting about all the money coming in from "health coaching". She quit her job earlier this year to focus on being a "health coach". Then came the message, typical hun trying to lure you in message to which I simply responded, "No thanks." She pushed and I sent her a readable copy of the income disclosure and said, "At my current job I'm making as much as the top 2% of your company, plus 4 weeks paid vacation and amazing benefits. I'd be nuts to leave and make no money." Not even a response and I got blocked.
Maybe she should have taken my word at no thank you. Sensitive little things.

Job Seekers Beware: Amway, Similar MLMs lurking on job boards through recruiters
I don't know if this has been posted here before, so I apologize if it has.
I'm currently between jobs, and have been making my rounds through all the big job boards looking for jobs specific to my expertise. (hint: not sales) Now of course, if you've frequented boards like Indeed and Snagajob over the years, you're probably aware of the fact that any customer service experience on your resume will trigger at least one or two sales companies to reach out to you to get you to sign on for a commissioned sales gig.
I had two different recruiters wake me up out of bed today with same-day interview and on-spot hiring opportunities for "brand ambassador" roles. I didn't recall applying to either company, who were new local subsidiaries of companies, who were very obtuse about who the parent was. I was curious, even though I had no intention of following through, because I figured this was just how cold call sales companies were laundering their hiring process now.
After a lot, and I mean, A LOT of digging, I found out that I applied for an industry-specific brand compliance job through a recruiter. These two companies contacted me through the recruiter for something not even tangentially related to the scope of the role for which they were recruiting.
It turns out that each company is accused of being a local LLC subsidiary, one of Primerica, the other Amway, and are disguising themselves as non-commissioned brand ambassador roles to get new people who can't figure out what the company is without doing a ton of obtuse legwork to figure out who it is. I attempted to report these tactics and irrelevant interactions to both the recruiter and the job board, neither actually willing to remove the listing or acknowledge that they provided my information to companies outside the scope of my search.
TL;DR, if you're in the job market, especially for Sales or Brand Ambassador roles, be very aware that MLMs are now using recruiters to make it harder to screen if you're being approached by them to sell their scams.

Is it MLM: GS Global Partners?
My partner’s parent has gotten involved with GS Global Partners. It’s something to do with crypto (not entirely sure about the details) but I haven’t gotten the best feeling from it. The parent is now pressuring my partner to put money into it too and keeps encouraging them to sign onto various webinars and such. Is it legit? Is it MLM? Anyone have any experience with them? TIA

Coworker said she made $32k last year selling Optavia?
I had a work dinner last night and a coworker mentioned she’s a “health coach.” She told us she made $32,000 last year from her “side hustle.” She then told us it was a “lot of work.” When another person asked how much time she put in to it, she said she works 20-30 hours a week on this. Other coworker said wow that is basically another job, she quickly said “oh no that’s not right. Probably 25 hours a month.” So are MLM’s a lot of work or are they passive income you can do from anywhere? 🤔 Also, how much of this is done on company time during your real job?

Quitting Primerica
hello all!!
pretty simple, a few weeks ago a girl on instagram messaged me saying if i was interested in a job (should've felt the scam then and there), but to be fair, she's been following me on instagram a long time and we've spoken through dms before and nothing about her job. i was interested but lazy and kept ignoring her messages, until i finally decided maybe i should see what it's about. finally, a few days ago she set up a zoom meeting and showed me this presentation about the company but never really explained what I PERSONALLY would be doing. she later set up an in person interview, which was today, and said she would explain more. i paid $99 for some licensing fee/classes or something and $25 for a "book". i also work at a pharmacy and paid for my license, so i thought it was maybe something similar. anyway, i get to the interview and she talked about the job maybe a total of 5 minutes, but never explained what i would do. she just explained how i needed to imagine i was a business owner and that i needed to "expand" my clientele and team. she also asked who i would start with. i thought of it as sales, so i literally said "clients" and she said yes but logically, friends and family. i thought that was odd, but thought she was using friends and family as an example. later, she gave me a paper and told me to write down all of my contacts or people i was closest too. i stupidly did thinking nothing of it. she then tells me AFTER that she's going to call everyone on the list and basically ask if they're okay with sitting down for a zoom meeting so i can get my "training" in. that alone made me want to quit because i just find it so embarrassing along with not being that close with a few people on the list as i literally do not know 25 close people so wrote down some acquaintances. i didn't know what to say and just said "alright" and then the interview ended shortly after. i get on reddit for a lot of things and searched Primerica for fun, and well... thankfully i didn't quit my job or anything and i think i can ask for a refund or do a charge back, but i want to quit, get my money back, and tell them to NOT call anybody on that list. i'm dying at the thought of people on my contact list getting called and i'm not sure how to quit, any advice?

Trying to hoax my cancer patient husband
Thankfully this is not a “mY OiLs CuRe cAncEr” story. So my husband has been battling cancer on and off for the last three years. Last year, he had to undergo a stem cell transplant, and spent 2 weeks in the hospital on a special oncology ward. During this process, you have no immunity (literally 0), so he was limited to one visitor (his mom). As such, folks get lonely in there and so they make friends (and are encouraged to do so) with the other patients. This is how he met Mark. Mark was a business man with no family in the area, so they often got to chatting, as my husband felt bad that he had no visitors and he also had been living there for 2 plus months with no end in sight. I never met Mark, but my husband described him as an “odd duck” and didn’t really plan on keeping the relationship once he was out of the hospital. As luck would have it, about a year later he ran into Mark at their treatment clinic, and took it as a sign to finally make plans to grab food together after about a year of debating if he should reach out again (my husband still felt bad that Mark had no friends/family in the area).
So they made plans to meet up for food. And oh boy I am very glad I was not there, though I wish I could have saved my poor husband. For nearly three hours Mark pitched all of the classic MLM bullsh*t, including why it isn’t a scam, you shouldn’t look up the company, don’t tell any of your friends or family as they wont believe you, all you need to do is spend a little time “mentoring people” and the more you mentor, the more money you get. All the classic stuff we here have heard a million times. He at least paid for my husband’s food, so he did get that out of the ordeal, but my husband was clearly upset his (precious) time was wasted on a dude who just wanted to scam him. After dinner my husband immediately told me all of this on our daily walk, and the worst part? This scummy person had the nerve to say “don’t you want to build something to support and pass onto your family when you are gone?” TO A CANCER PATIENT. How dare he! My husband is in school, so I have been financially supporting us, so I know he is the target audience for these scummy scams. I was floored to hear all of this. Thankfully, my husband and I are already well-informed about MLMs, so he didn’t buy any of it. I just felt bad that he had to waste a night on this fool. On the bright side he got some yummy food from it, and now has closure that Mark is not someone to waste anymore time on.

My best friend has gotten roped into Vector/Cutco, advice?
Cutco, mainly Vector Marketing is an MLM that seeks young adults, usually fresh HS graduates or college students. My friend got recruited into it and as much as I've tried to warn them about MLMs, they think it'll work out for them, even after learning the high base pay wasn't hourly. It might be a fun or expirence job like they say. They don't seem to have much interest in actually recruiting, and Vector actually has a job where you don't have to! Just instead get appointmens! You know, the appointments that you only get by looking for people to get into it, recruiting? I think they're starting to see the risks in it, but just to be safe I wanted to know if anyone here had advice or (negative) expirences related to Vector. Can any vector victims or other MLMs share stories or advice?

Mom's a USANA distributor and user, but is a registered pediatrician...
So current context, I'm going to college this year and I'm already 18. And my mom's a genuinely great person, albeit very conservative, very smart at giving advices to me about life. So yeah basically, my mom and dad has invested in USANA for the last 10 years. And let me tell you, we're 5 brothers living in a third world country. We're a lower-middle class family, we don't have generational wealth; it's a all from scratch. My dad resigned his work at Philip Morris since my mom said it wasn't healthy for him and that instead we should look forward more into USANA. So yeah, basically our only source of cash flow comes from my mom's work and 'USANA'. So yeah, I mean my mom's not forcing me to get into it. + she recently got into BNI, since BNI's system of referrals too would help boost them. So yeah, what can I do? What should I do? And it just hurts that I'm not smart enough yet to think of a miracle financial plan so yeah. My mom talked to me about our financial situation and how their process should go. They're aware of the mistakes they made with finances in their first few years of making the family, so they've targeted on filling the debt hole they've made in the past and increasing their cash flow to pay for other things. My mom's just so fascinated and optimistic about network marketing. She even told how things weren't as fine as they've used to be in USANA, and that they're not earning as much as they'd used to. Also about the supplements, I'm well aware my mom's a responsible and professional doctor. And I admire how she pushes for prevention, which is genuine again. And she really believes in the products, and I think some are actually good but they aren't medically necessary. She doesn't prescribe them, but recommends them I think (idk if that's against the rules of professionalism). In the end, I can't do nothing.
