Fitline trap/expose

Hey everyone.
I am new here and i need your help.
Someone in my family is selling and using products of Fitline (PM International...MLM) recently.
I never really gave smth about it. But one day it just felt off...so i looked into the ingrediences and the marketing.
So far i can tell that their promise of "its produced under GMP (general manufacturing practice) and hence 3 times better then BIO" is utter bollocks...even Nestlé and McDonald's or Ferrero is using GMP. And there are no BIO or GEN certificates, that would even imply, that it is any good quality!

The fructose in their products seem to be through the roof...but you cannot really see the sugar levels. And all they give you is this sheet, where they compare their products to a apple.
I even contacted the consumer-protection-org here in germany to get answers. Still waiting though!

Anyone has smth at hand? That i can use to convince? Thanks all!!

Can’t do a thanksgiving day community run event in peace

Yesterday I did a community run event with a friend. She brought her brother and a coworker. Now her brother recently wrote a book about his struggles with dyslexia and when she posted the book to our group chat I bought it. I have little time to read other books on my wishlist much less his but I have a soft spot for someone working hard at something - except for MLMs due to the aggressive and deceitful nature of that business model.

So at the end of our run I was talking to my friend’s brother when coincidentally I got an Amazon notification at the same time that his book was being shipped. I immediately told the guy his book just shipped. I felt like he finally thought that was the perfect opening to talk about his MLM crap.

He offered me a couple sample probiotic powders and told me to take them when I ate that day and when I asked if he got them from Amazon and he said no but that he sold them I immediately knew it had to do with an MLM (it’s market America). Then he did the next thing I dreaded, he asked for my number.

Later that day on Thanksgiving he sent me a text asking if I had a chance to take the supplements and I told him I hadn’t. This morning I got a video message from him asking me to tell him when I have taken it and to let him know how it was. I am pissed. I haven’t replied to the video message and I will no longer reply to any of his messages. His sister is a great friend and I certainly don’t want to be disrespectful to her brother but damn I hope he drops it.

Anti-MLM creators

Hi all, hope this is allowed! Are there any antiMLM YouTube or Instagram creators who expose secret MLMs/companies that hide their MLM side and try to masquerade as legitimate brands? One of those has hit up a few friends of mine who are in the beauty creator space. It seems like they're making a big marketing push. It would be nice to see them exposed quickly before they get too much perceived legitimacy from gifting campaigns to influencers.

The girl Target

I was in the camping aisle, staring intensely at the different air mattresses deciding which had the best quality to price ratio. In the background there was Jesus worship music playing in the store, which I found odd but then again I had just moved to Texas. I hadn’t noticed her before she started talking. She asked me why I was dressed like that, if it was my outfit. Granted I was wearing a ridiculous combination of black polish shined boots and shorts. We got into a longer than expected and pleasant conversation before she mentioned she was “interested in entrepreneurship and meeting with some people later that day to discuss it.” I stopped smiling and asked her about these people. Did they come off unusually nice? Were they inviting her to join “free” conferences at local hotels? Were they asking her to reach out to friends and family. Were they…. She seemed surprised. I had extrapolated a lot of accurate info just from a single sentence. Yes to my questions she replied. I then explained to her what a MLM pyramid scheme was. I told her to avoid these people, they were bad news and a money sink. No no, she told me. That could not be. These people were nice. She definitely would work with them because she was “passionate” about financial freedom. I even sensed a subtle resentment that I was blocking something good from her.

Ok I said. Loud internal sigh. Then back to my shopping.

Sounds like an MLM...but it isn't. Yet.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-wellness-company-is-being-spruiked-by-kari-lake-laura-loomer-naomi-wolf-and-others

This insane grift smacks of MLM-ness without the MLM structure (that I know of, anyway--I don't want to give them ant positive feedback by looking them up or reading their site). "Miracle" product that are "all natural." I bet if I looked at their followers, there would be a lot of stuff about "the secrets doctors don't want you to know."

Sigh.

Top Kangen Hun has released (awful, awful) music on Spotify!

You know that male Australian Kangen hunbro at the top of The Freedom Era? You know the one I'm talking about, he has a letter for a middle name and a first name that if you removed the L and changed the I for a U it would sum up exactly what he is.

You'll probably hate me for this (and rightly so) but he has three songs on spotify and they're as bad as you can imagine, after his culturally inappropriate video called "What if Tupac was an attraction marketer" (or something like that) that should have been grounds enough for someone to say "never ever rap again, what you've just done is an abomination to music and offensive to Tupac and any and all of his fans" but no one did and so he's making "original" raps now and they're awful, but if you want a laugh check them out but please don't hate me for telling you, I apologise for any ear or nose bleeds this may cause.

MIL’s doctor is trying to sell her a Kangen Water Machine

My MIL is a cancer survivor and is financially comfortable so she spends a good amount of time and money on healthcare treatments. She lives in Italy and started seeing this doctor through the recommendation of a trusted friend.

At first, this doctor put her on some sort of diet which sounded pretty normal, but he recently tried to sell her a Kangen water machine, citing its numerous health benefits including preventing cancer from coming back.

This seemed fishy so I looked up Kangen and the doctor, and he’s a 6A member of Enagic as can be found here: https://www.enagic.com/media/pdfviewer/?f=efriends_202205.pdf

We’re not really concerned that she’ll try to sell anything as part of the MLM as she’s financially comfortable, but is there anything else we should worry about?

We’re trying to convince her not to buy the machine and cut contact with the doctor, but since we live in a different country, we want to know what the implications are if she does go through with the purchase.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Why does Thrive/Le-Vel have such retention?

I’ve been semi-obsessed with the MLM world for a couple of years now. I’ve noticed that 2-2 1/2 years is the general length of stay for huns before they bounce to the next scam.

However, Le-Vel seems to have such weird longevity with their huns and I can’t figure out why! Their comp plan doesn’t seem like anything special, their huns seem to be the most mean-girl-energy wielding goblins around, and they sell freaking vitamin bandaids.

Does anyone have any insight? Any ex-huns? There’s a lot of Amway, WFG, Primerica ex-promoters in here but I don’t see a lot about Le-Vel.

Melaleuca: The First MLM I Hated

My grandma started using Melaleuca products because she was very health-conscious and unfortunately got suckered into the lies. She used a number of their products for a few years, such as the liquid dishsoap.

When she realized she had more than she needed, because it was on auto-order, she tried to cancel her membership. The MLM rep gave her the usual song and dance, and the overpriced stuff just kept arriving. She tried several times to stop her orders, but she was easily confused as her mental health declined.

After my grandpa died, Grandma's dementia became much more noticeable. My mom found a massive stockpile of Melaleuca stashed all over Grandma's house. She was puzzled and furious.

It took my mom a number of contacts with Melaleuca to discontinue the "scheduled" shipments. In the end, Mom had to threaten legal action over taking advantage of a senior citizen. That was about 12 years ago.

My own mom has finally run out of Melaleuca dish soap. Grandma's unintentional stockpile lasted nearly 8 years after her passing.

These scummy companies target vulnerable people. They have no shame.

Shy MLMs and Interview Crashing

I like to browse job listings for part-time work when I have down time, and it's astonishing to me how many MLMs are out there.

>"Hi A, I noticed that a required question is if I know anyone else that could benefit from this information. This isn't a MLM, is it?"
>
>"Hi, Thanks for reaching out. To answer your question, we are not an MLM or a Pyramid Scheme. We work in financial services...."

Go to the interview, and within ten minutes the presenter quickly blurts out the actual company instead of the shell company (Transamerica), which gave me the opportunity to lazily google "Transamerica MLM" and find enough to dip out. A lot of MLMs are awfully shy about admitting the actual company. Had another where it seemed like a promising, earnest start-up until I spoke to the guy and he quickly blurted out "worldfinancialgroup" and tried to run past it as fast as possible. I have to wonder: if they know that the actual company is shameful to mention, so much so that they won't even admit it on job postings and will deny it all the way to the Zoom meeting-do they realize that it's a scam? Do they think that normal companies are this flighty about admitting what company it is?

I've sat in a few of these group interviews now and they all have similar beats. Since they are trying to avoid talking about the company, there's only a brief amount of information about the company itself, a strangely unrealistic description of success (somehow, they're very successful and have been working there for a decade), and then an absurd amount of time dedicated to the pay structure while promising that you can be very profitable being a downline without establishing your own downline.

None of the ones that I've been sitting in on have a tangible product, usually insurance or "financial advice", so it seems even less practical than selling lotion or something.

My question is: should I start crashing these interviews? Most of them let us have mics on, and I'm tempted to pipe up and crash the interview when the MLM is being shy. What should I say? I'm worried that people in desperate positions might get sucked in and that I may have an opportunity to save a few people from heartache.

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. (What buzzwords do you hear and immediately know that a MLM pitch is coming?)

Multiple streams of income, financial freedom, we found the right people to teach us: oh no! The horror. This conversation isn't genuine but a MLM pitch!

Just had this happen during playtime at the library. Super friendly and talkative lady was having a lovely conversation with me until I heard the Beetlejuice buzzwords and knew not to entertain the conversation further. These were the phrases I heard that tipped me off, what's your opinion of MLM Beetlejuice words?
