Is Primerica a Scam?
Basically what the title says. My girlfriend’s stepfather is trying to recruit me to join him at Primerica. I’ve been on quite a couple calls with him and everyone involved in their company. Everyone seems very genuine in wanting to help people and have everyone on the team be independent, their own boss and to be successful.
My GFs stepfather makes good money with Primerica. Probably in the 200-300k a year range (Canada). Enough for him to be the sole provider for their family with 3 kids in the home, a nice house, a new truck and looking to get another new vehicle. Multiple other people on this team clear 6 figures with the SVP probably making 7 figures.
I’m unsure if this is something I’d wanna pursue. I see many people online saying it’s all a scam and I don’t want to fall for it. I know is an MLM, and I know their products are real. I work a stable job currently as an electrician, with my own seasonal side business. My GF and I are still young (23 and 24), but her stepfather wants to mentor me to help us build our own independent business.
Am I being scammed?

Got tea at a shop and absolutely sick.
Soo just found out the shop I got "tea" at is herbalife. Doing research brought me here. I am so sick to my stomach after drinking it and I was like what the hell. After googling, I am PISSED. I feel like they should be more up front that it isn't really even tea. Do they not give a damn that it's making people sick? I have never been so nauseous in my life. Anyone know what to do?

Just why? When I told him not to
Okay my friend, after much debate has decided to order these products…he says he just wants to try them…
Well then he’s added to a group on Facebook. So he showed me some posts in there that are like waaaay too good to be true…so he decides to make a comment. Nothing mean, or derogatory.
Just basically said he couldn’t get on board with this because it’s just too far fetched….
Well now he’s blocked from that group…
All because he told the truth. I told him those grifting Huns don’t like independent thinkers….
Maybe he’s rethinking this

Realized the woman I've been dating and fell in love with is DEEP in an MLM.
The signs were there the whole time, but I stupidly chose to ignore them. She was so captivating, so perfect, so right in every other way.
"E-commerce."
I didn't really dig into what her "business" was when we first met. She was good at deflecting attention away from it. She was so smart, I couldn't imagine that she'd be dumb enough to get involved with an MLM.
Not only that, I came to learn she was 100% committed to the dream that the cult had forced into her head. She was a true believer. She was convinced that this was her path to an early retirement and an easy life.
She was completely broke. I suspect she had serious credit card debt. She had absolutely no money and was constantly desperate for cash.
Eventually, just this week, I finally kept asking questions. I got just enough details to put the pieces together and understand that it isn't some e-commerce, business to business legitimate enterprise, no. It was an MLM. I think it's Amway.
In that moment I felt crushing loss. I loved this girl. She was gorgeous, smart, funny, etc.
No way, no fucking way am I doing that to myself. I can't get involved with a woman that's so irrational and will never be anything other than a continuous drain on my resources. I don't trust her judgement. I don't believe she makes good decisions. I think she's been brainwashed into someone that just uses people, anyone she can sink her teeth into, and that's been me for the last few months.
I have to walk away, but it's going to hurt. I don't have an option here. I have to... but, damn, is it going to sting.
The good times were incredible. She's excellent at what she does, forging this false reality. I was convinced. Now, I doubt that she was ever really into me at all, at least not to the degree that I thought she was, how she was acting.
I guess we're all capable of being irrational. I paid for a lot of stuff for her, took her places, treated her well.
Part of me wants to fight, to try to convince her to leave, but I know it won't work... and I'd never really trust her decision making knowing that she's been part of this.
I think she's been in it for years.
Now that the infatuation is thoroughly ground to dust, I see that there was other shit, too. It's so easy to just put blinders on and jump in when she's super hot and knows how to use sex to manipulate.
Time to hit the gym extra hard and refocus on my hobbies and male friends.
Damn, women can be... really challenging. I just want an attractive partner that has good judgement and makes good decisions.
This has happened to me before, where a girl keeps something from me until months down the line. It's happened multiple times. The last one hid a bad coke habit from me for almost a whole year before I figured out that she was doing coke all the time behind my back. Never caught her red handed, but her pupils were often too large for the lighting conditions, and there were other signs. I'm too trusting and need to do a better job vetting before escalating the relationship.
At least she still has her own place, and this should be a relatively clean break in terms of the logistics. I'm going to take some time after this one and really assess what went wrong here. I'm still reeling from all of this. You know that scene from Breaking Bad when Hank figures out that Walt has been Heisenberg all along, this whole fucking time, and has a panic attack? That was exactly how I felt the moment I realized, fuck, it's an MLM. It's a fucking MLM.
So much made sense in that moment that didn't before. All the pieces fit. It explained so much, and I was crushed. The woman I loved died to me in that moment. I'm still mourning her.

What is MAKE Wellness all about?
One of my childhood best friends is all in on MAKE Wellness and peptides. She is into cross-fit and I normally trust her opinion on things because she eats really healthy, has gotten into great shape, etc. But I’m not fooled for a second that MAKE Wellness is an MLM.
I had a long talk with her about how I went off GLP-1 medication because I didn’t like the side effects. Her solution was peptides, and I was instantly skeptical. I’m not a medical professional but my understanding is that peptides are naturally occurring in protein so shouldn’t I just try to eat better proteins? What is MAKE Wellness trying to sell and what actually is in their products? I recently saw a posting where someone got their school board to allow the packets into the high school concessions.
I don’t want to be negative to my friend because it seems to be working, but I want to say that I think this is all a scam. Am I irrational for feeling this way?

My BFF joined Arbonne…
My best friend is deep into Arbonne and I’m running out of polite ways to dodge it, especially after she went to their Las Vegas event and came back fully activated.
I have been incredibly supportive and purchased products, said yes to a few “sales parties” and sat through the “it’s not an MLM” rant (after I said… it is). Now I’m getting to the point where I have to start saying no and I don’t want to come off as unsupportive.
She’s a SAHM and I have a demanding job, so I get why she’s excited about it, I just don’t want to be a customer or recruit. I also think her “mentor” is incredibly annoying, and apparently makes “$12k/month”.
Do I set a boundary and risk hurting her feelings, or keep dodging and hope it fades? Has anyone successfully survived a friend’s MLM era?

Tenacity
Has anyone heard of a company called “Tenacity” or “Tenacity Group”?
I had a recruiter reach out to me on LinkedIn saying I’d be a great fit, especially because of my nursing background, but their profile had basically no info, which already felt off. She said the role is fully remote, super flexible (like 8-10 hours/week, weekends optional, or just a few hours here and there).
She sent me a password protected video to watch, and the owner is someone named Jay Gauthier Jr. In the video he mentioned something about needing to pay the state to get licensed. That’s not crazy because I paid to get licensed as a nurse. But the way he said it….seemed, off.
I tried looking into it but I’m seeing mixed or unclear info.
Just wondering if anyone has personal experience with this company or knows if it’s legit?
It’s also very strange that this recruiter keeps messaging me asking if I’ve watched the video yet. It seems a bit pushy.

What's the deal with Lifevantage
Do their products scientifically work, or are they fabricating a lot of it? I ask this because my mother is spending (in my eyes) way too much money on the stuff, and I just wonder if it does in fact work.

So I think I'm learning what MLM is...
Hi everyone. Turning 24 in about a week, and I'm still learning the ropes of conventional business, mostly as I go. Multi-level-marketing is not something I've heard of up until now.
I've been developing a card game for the past few years and took a break for about a year and a half to focus on starting my career after college. I was laid off back in February and have been job searching while also picking the game back up, so it's been grind time.
A few weeks ago, an alum from my university reached out to me on LinkedIn and seemed genuinely curious about my project, asked questions no one had really asked before. It was refreshing. We've been chatting since, and she eventually invited me to attend a couple of weekly "mastermind" events on Tuesdays, and offered to connect me with her mentor, who she and her husband have apparently been working with for about eight years.
Here's what's been bugging me: despite the initial interest in my business, there's been almost no follow-up discussion about what I'm actually building, and when I've asked what businesses she and her husband are involved in, I haven't gotten a straight answer. Meanwhile, I'm apparently being "vetted" by her and her mentor.
Amway has been mentioned a few times in the mastermind settings, and things are starting to click. The framing is all about becoming "financially free" by "building networks" and leveraging a "starter asset." I've continued to engage since no one has asked me for money and I've genuinely picked up some useful mindset stuff, but I Googled Amway for the first time today and landed here. There's another meeting tomorrow.
Should I bail? lol

Any ex-Forever living members?
Not sure what tag to use so I'm using this one. Any ex-Forever/ Forever living members? I've been approached by a girl I've never even met before in my life on messenger with a proposal that at first seemed legit, but quickly found out it's a proposal for Forever living. I'm on maternity leave for the next 2 years and I could use some spare change so I'm wondering if it's worth it?
I have used Forever products before, my stepmom was buying them when I was young and their creams/gels are actually ok. I also found out that at some point they apparently had some anti-colic drops for babies??? And my stepsister's pediatrician recommended them to my stepmom and they apparently worked. So I was always under the impression that they are a legit company and just now found out they are an MLM.
Curious if anyone here ever sold their products and what's your experience with them? I'm obviously not thinking I'll make bank or something with it, I know that MLMs are predatory, but I'm wondering if anyone here actually made even a small amount of money from selling their products, what was your overall experience, etc. And by this I mean without recruiting other people 'cause I'm not about to drag other people into an MLM.

Can these people really not take a hint?
My husband’s cousin is involved in Arbonne. She’s been trying to sell me stuff for so long and I’ve always said no. She bugged me my entire pregnancy trying to get me to buy the prenatal vitamins. Now she’s trying to “call me for 15 minutes to practice a sales pitch” on me. Are they totally oblivious? Or are they just trained to be that pushy? I will never understand it.

They keep changing their buzz words to try to fool us.
Red Aspen is an MLM. They call their business practice “social selling”. It’s all the same. Some companies may not be an MLM model and use social selling, but the majority of them are garbage scams.
They change their buzz words every decade or so. Network marketing was hot in the 2000’s. Direct sales was the big thing after that. I’m sure there will be another fancy term for these MLM’s in another few years.
What other terms have you come across that they try to disguise their business model under?

My posts bring all the huns to the yard. They're like, “it's not a pyramid scheme. Pyramid schemes are illegal.” Scamway hun swoops in to defend a Bravenly hun.
Yet another hun drops by to defend their product based pyramid scheme. This time it’s an Amway hun who has had a Reddit account for a couple of years but has only recently become active.
Is this a ‘friend’ of the Bravenly hun, or is this a hun who is freaking out because the anti-MLM movement has significantly chipped away the downline base of their pyramids that they need to even exist as a hun?

Anyone feel like mlm huns try to comment more on Facebook posts and make random posts to try and get responses
It’s so annoying! I have a fb friend who just started plexus and now she literally is commenting on more than she did before. Like someone posts a picture of their kid getting a haircut or something she’ll be like “omg she’s so cute ☺️💗” or if someone posts they went to a concert or a restaurant she’s like I love their food what’s your fav dish or I love that band what’s your favorite song?
The worst is trying to get people to Interact with her posts so we will see more of her stuff if we interact with her. Like she makes up random posts like babes what your favorite athletic wear or babes comment below are you more of a morning person or night owl and the worst when people comment on the posts it’s other people who already do the same mlm evens or times I’ll see someone who does the mlm already and she will comment like interested can you tell me more about plexus? like girl get out we know your in on this bs
Omg it irks me I can’t believe we’re in 2026 and still people fall for this stuff.
