my best friend and her entire family is in wfg, keeps trying to make me attend presentations
They joined this business back in December of 2025, and I thought that they had started a family business from the grounds up because that’s what they were implying it was. It made me confused because we’re both only 19 and she has no background in finances at ALL. One day, I saw that my best friend’s mom had posted a “World Financial Group” meeting, which made me curious so I searched it up and omg. Just threads and threads of people calling this a pyramid scheme.
Well my best friend is asking me for the second time to attend a training presentation, that it’s just a 15 minutes zoom meeting with ten people. The wording was vague, and I declined, saying I have personal scheduling conflict again, but that I wish her good luck on the training with her mentor. She got upset this time, and somehow spotted me outside at the mall with another friend. She then passive aggressively messaged me, pointedly upset I was outside hanging out with someone else and not attending her training meeting.
My question is, what would even happen if I attended the presentation? Am i overreacting about this?

I just quit Amway
I’ve been a part of this a few months and recently became a full member. The other day I started to snap out of it. Thank you guys for influencing my decision the other day on my now deleted post. I officially am done. Do we think I can get away with never returning the book lent to me from a platinum upline? Should I leave it on their porch while they’re out for a weekly meeting so I don’t have to be confronted?

family member suddenly selling “wellness / shop club”
I’ve never heard of this but it’s definitely looking very MLMy…. does anyone know anything or have any stories about this MLM? I’m curious how they find people to promote this or if there’s any stories I should know to help me tell her why MLMs are awful. She’s never been a part of an MLM before so i’m not sure what brought this on.

Cydcor MLM “Kazi” and their attempt to scam me
As stated in the title, this is my experience of a devilcorp company attempting to scam me.
I don’t even remember applying to this company (named Kazi in northern Virginia) but they gave me a call stating that they received my application and that they wanted to interview me to see if I was a “good cultural fit” for the company.
I was fresh out of college and quite desperate to get a job since I had been applying everywhere with no success.
The job was advertised to me as a financial role where I would be managing accounts. When I did my second interview though, I got the impression that this was a consulting role where I would be helping “Kazi’s” client with client retention. This seemed weird to me but was still interesting and I was desperate.
They kept saying things like this is a great opportunity for entrepreneurship and that they would deeply invest in my development.
After the second interview I received a call from them telling me that I got the job (I was ecstatic) and that I would be required to come in for “onboarding” this is when I started to get very suspicious. When I arrived to their office, the person helping me with onboarding was over 20 minutes late. When they arrived I was the only one going through it which was strange since when I was onboarded for other jobs there were multiple new hires.
I was asked to sit for 30 minutes and review their contract, WHICH WAS ALMOST 40 PAGES LONG. The job initially promised $70-80k annually but upon reading the contract I realized that most of those earnings would be from commissions (this is when I realized it was a sales job).
The pay structure was incredibly suspicious: there was base pay that was equal to minimum wage, but it was more like a LOAN in case you didn’t make commissions enough to satisfy minimum wage requirements. I call it a loan because you would be expected to pay all of it back with your future commissions.
Another thing I found strange was that the contract: The legal sections of the contract read less like a standard entry-level employment agreement and more like a defensive shield built for a high-risk, high-turnover operation expecting conflict. The document aggressively limits workers’ rights through mandatory arbitration, class-action waivers, mass-filing procedures, non-compete restrictions, commission recapture clauses, and sweeping protections extending not only to the company itself, but also to its clients, partners, brokers, and affiliated entities. The overall tone of the agreement feels engineered to maximize organizational protection while minimizing employee leverage at nearly every stage of the relationship.
I saw that the employment was at will so I signed anyways (bad idea I know, but I was clinging on to any hope that I found a job that would allow me to actually cover bills). The next part of onboarding was talking to the HR person, where I asked a few questions about pay, and was told that the average pay was $70k and top earners can reach $100,000.
When I left I did some research and learnt that this was a company tied to cydcor, which is literally the poster child of devil corps. I was crushed, but at the same time I’m glad I learnt this now and not after working for them for god knows how many weeks/months.
It’s shocking to me that these types of businesses are actually legal. They literally just take advantage of desperate people and sell them this dream that they will one day be super rich. They manipulate you into thinking they are your best and only option, and shit on 9-5 jobs. They alienate people from their loved ones so no one can break them out of this cult like business. Disgusting.

Leaving relationship over partner in MLM
My boyfriend of 2 years has starting working for a company that is “third party contracted” with AT&T. The whole structure is to build a team underneath you and take a percentage of that and one day you can “own your own business”. They work 70 hours a week, only commission. They do conferences that are meant to hype people up. His boss wanted to meet me and have dinner within two weeks of working there. It’s WEIRD. His boss has sent him money or “raised” his training pay both weeks he’s been there because there’s NO MONEY in this field as an entry level employee. They rob you of your time and pay you dimes.
But my boyfriend is caught up in the idea that sell of freedom and independence.
But I cannot convince myself that this is a good path or career. Over the past two years I’ve emphasized that I want a family with a foundation. I want him to finish school and establish a career. And now he’s talking about doing this long term when he initially said it would just to be getting experience on his resume.
I’m at the point to where I can’t see myself being happy being in a relationship with someone who builds their career in an MLM.
Am I wrong? Am I going to end a relationship over an unfair standard I’m setting?
Am I being too judgmental over what a pyramid scheme is?

I feel embarrassed
I’ve been thinking about changing careers and becoming a financial advisor. I’ve always been good with money, have invested regularly since I turned 18, and feel like I could do some genuine good helping people manage their finances.
Browsing Indeed last week, I spotted a posting for a financial advisor position. I applied and quickly received a message inviting me to join a Zoom meeting later that evening. I hopped on and found out it was for WFG. I’d never heard of the company and, on the surface, it seemed like a perfect opportunity for someone looking to break into the finance industry.
However, there were some red flags. The main speaker said that they had a “recruitment-based” business model and invited people to tell their friends and family about their services. He also kept talking about how much money he made a year. All this was off putting but I rationalized it by assuming that maybe I just wasn’t used to the “hard sales tactics” of this industry.
More red flags popped up when I met with my recruiter the next day. When I told her I wanted to take the weekend to think it all over, she got super pushy and said that she was worried I’d “overthink it” and “lose my enthusiasm”. Only once I Googled WFG (don’t ask why I didn’t before, I honestly don’t know) was I able to fully confirm why I felt so uneasy about the whole thing.
In total, I spent four days considering working for WFG. I know I’m lucky. I’ve seen many horror stories of people losing their lives to this company. Regardless, I still feel embarrassed that I even considered it for as long as I did. I’ve always prided myself on my critical thinking skills, so the fact that I was able to so easily override them just because the opportunity appeared to align with my interests is honestly terrifying.

Approached by an aquaintance about a project that slowly feels like another Amway stuff.
I got into a call last week with someone from my university, talking about project he has been doing. Basically, I was knowledgable with stuffs that he found common with, and invited me to a meeting with one of his co-project member.
The project was fine at the start, talking about what they do, subscription model, passive income. Then they started talking about Amway. I don't think I hid my face very well during that Zoom meeting, because I frowned so hard when Amway was mentioned due to the notorious reputation I've heard.
At the end of the presentation, the speaker gave me links to videos of these entrepreneur on the stage or a podcast. The speaker told me to at least listen to some of these videos and share it in a later meeting.
I watched the videos. I hope my comprehension isn't lacking, but what I got from 3 videos was "Amway makes you rich". From those videos, I discovered there are rankings in Amway business? The diamonds, the emeralds? I don't really like the sound of ranking in this context at all. I went from a little skeptical to I should just stop seeing these people.

Are MLMs allowing huns to utilize their own branding?
An acquaintance popped up with a Shopify store of skin care products. The labels have his own company name on it and the lifelike AI videos also have folks saying the company name. It’s giving MLM but I can’t really find any information on what parent company it could be. I see the site says “Pure Precision” at the bottom but haven’t been able to find a company with this name in my searches. Any ideas?

Posting with a THREE DAY OLD
A friend of a friend had a baby less than a week ago and was back to shilling her garbage MLM wares while sitting on the couch, between sharing photos of her brand new baby girl. Obviously not the usual over the top showing off her skincare routine/hair/nails/makeup/whatever other garbage they sell, but even having it on her mind is fucking bonkers to me.
I won’t share the screenshots because even she doesn’t deserve to have that embarrassment shared with the rest of the world but GIRL. This is not the financial freedom you’ve advertised.
The kicker is that we’re not even in the US and while our maternity leave isn’t amazing like some countries, she definitely has an income right now.
