Looking for a job? Ugh.
So I’m a stay home Mom, and I’ve been wanting to get a part time job for awhile now just to get out of the house. My husband makes quite a bit of money, so I didn’t care how much the job paid, I just wanted to do something. I get lonely being home for long stretches. Even worse now with the pandemic.
So I decided to post on my city’s Facebook page asking people if they knew anywhere hiring where I could clean, stock, do something where I would be working alone. I’m not good with cashier work, so I was looking for something other than that.
Almost immediately I started getting the messages from the HUNS. It’s been 4 weeks and I’m still getting messages from them. I made it clear in my post that I wanted to get out of the house, joining an MLM isn’t going to get me outside. At this point it’s beyond annoying. They are literally preying on people. They seen the post and they thought “Yes! A desperate stay home mother needing money! I’ll rope her into my scheme and make money off her!” Thats sickening to do to people.
But it’s very amusing reading how much they love the company. How they try to explain their company is different than the other MLMs, that they are in it because they love helping people, that you don’t need to be good at sales. Ect.
I always tell them up front “Yes I am still looking, but no MLMs.” Then they respond “Well this is an MLM, but! The company is so great, I make so much money! I’m part of a great community! I have never done sales before either and I’m doing great!” I always tell them that yes, you do need to be good at sales to make money while doing a SALES job. You are quite literally selling a product. So you need to be good at selling.
But they insist no matter what that anyone can do it and make a ton of money. The money is beside the point though. They have to realize that most people aren’t comfortable with lying to people to make money, making false claims about a product, begging family and friends to buy from them, and roping people in need into your own down line.

One of my friend invited me to saladmaster dinner party. There cookware starts from $4000 which is very shady. And she was convincing me to buy it. I straight away said no. I have never heard about saladmaster before. Could yoh please give some awareness on this.

people for WFG. Yet, does he do anything about this and for future conflicts of WFG? No. Another one of the things she does to victims is guilt trip them into joining because they "don't make enough money" and she says one of her many hyperbolic statements "everyone wants to go to jail to get free food".
This is still ongoing, for some context I have been very apathetic towards college as I don't think the classes I'm taking are going to help me with what I want to do, so I stopped joining them. Because of this, on New Year's Day, my mom yells at us because of dad buying junk food. She went on and on about how she hates that my younger sister and I know she's in a scam, but the hun speak says otherwise. She yelled at me for being a "good for nothing son" all because I don't refer people to WFG's policies at age 18 while other kids in the cult "help their moms".
My relationship with mom has always been bad since middle school, these experiences have made it even worse. At this point my trust is beyond broken with her and I do my best to limit the amount of interactions I have with her. I'd love to tell her to get out of WFG for how she's losing money, isn't making friends by guilt tripping people to join, and is being crushed by the "upline". But, in this household, the kids don't have any authority to criticize what the "adults" are doing. These past years also cemented how an already unreasonable mother is even further unreasonable and thinks the world is out to get her for being an "entrepreneur".

Years of living with a mom in WFG
These are all the big notable things that I can scrounge up about what WFG did to my mom.
Ever since I was in 6th grade, 2014 or so, my mom has been part of WFG. The more I hear from it, the worse it gets. For 3 years, she kept telling my family that she'll put us on her payroll yet nothing has come of it since then. Mom would also try to get us to go to her WFG parties even though they're in the evening, on weekdays, and we have school. The people there felt a bit fake the few times we did go. very party there's an opportunity to show a presentation. it's always how WFG is founded and them "helping" people. My younger sister and I always brought our 3DSs and played in a different room away from the noise.
In March 2019, I figured that something was fishy when I was shown a post from r/jobs that WFG has you pay to get the "job" and I determined not to be part of it. Everyday I come home from school and she constantly pesters people on the phone at home to join WFG, from those she talked to in the public. Her smartphones constantly lagged everytime she put her hundreds of contacts and blames the lag on the other apps for the slow down. She genuinely sounds like a drone, saying how there's no middle class in America and her "prospecting" is a way out of it. Additionally, she asked me to make some sort of chat bot for WFG, which I said no.
Once in May 2019, my sister and I mentioned how WFG is an MLM in the morning before we went to school. Mom got really angry at us for saying that because " people will think we're in a scam". She went on and told us "don't talk about it since you don't understand it". Yeah right, I can understand clearly that this "job" is worsening our already bad relationship. On one Sunday before church started, I said many times that our older sister isn't coming home, and mom said one of the worst things I've ever heard uttered from her mouth, "Behind every no is a yes, that's what WFG taught me". My younger sister "eloquently" said "That can be used in rape" as in it's what a rapist would say. I said how no means no and said what sort of ass backwards thinking those at WFG do to people.
In September 2019, mom yelled at my sister "No one wants to see your track meet! You don't support my WFG meetings, I don't support your track meets!" Real supportive of you, mom. A few weeks later, my sister started a D&D club at the school and mom applied her WFG thinking to our D&D club, as well to a teacher's robotics club. She said how we should keep recruiting more and more people, even though that's not how a club works. We're doing this for fun and people do it because they have genuine interest. We didn't take her unhelpful suggestion seriously for the first and second year of D&D club as well as the robotics club.
In January 2020, I told my mom not to pester a bus driver for their phone number, as I don't want more people to be part of the WFG cult. Then, she said to me "Why are you so against WFG? Maybe you'll end up working there". The usual "behind every no is a yes" and pestering others for numbers occurs. Then, Kobe Bryant's death occurred. We were in traffic on our way home and our dad wanted to see what happened. With the WFG way of thinking, my mom told us that she should get flowers from a grocery store and up-charge grievers for the flowers. All because the people at a church nearby were giving lemonade for free to the grievers. She still touts it to people, when calling others as if it's a badge of honor that we live near where he died.
April and May 2020, in quarantine, I now have to be with mom everyday. When dwelling on more people, she complained about dentistry not being considered essential business, despite the fact that she's been unemployed for more than a decade because she can't cooperate with seniors in her actual job. She also takes the noise cancelling headphones to listen to WFG webinars on Zoom.hen dad asks a question, she yells HUUUUH??? so loudly. Dad also noticed how confrontational she is when she talks to
