Hi all! New here and looking to connect with my fellow andro/homoromantic ace men out there. My Asexuality- I just want to cry.
Maybe not so much so do I cry about it. But it makes me want to cry.
You see as it says in my bio and next to my username in the subreddit.
I'm thirty-two typing this.
I am content if being with another woman never happens.
But it is still quite annoying and another harmless word I can't think of.
I keep dreaming of this woman who would be perfect for me. But alas; that is only in dreams I get to have it.
My dream woman is basically another me; but also like a Linda Belcher.
Sigh.
Why is sex taken as so important unless it is having a child. No thanks.
I don't even masterbate anymore. I am not repulsed. I am not a trauma reason. None of those kinds of reasons. I just don't care. No thanks.
I'll probably have some form of that dream of that woman again tonight. I bet you I will.
Late night was a dream about chugging milk knowing damn well I'll break out drinking it. So I didn't have a dream about it last night. Not every night. But most nights I do dream of the woman.
But I bet tonight I'll have it while asleep.

An ace convention would be a great idea
So here’s an idea I had that I dont know how to put together but maybe someone else might be able to. So what if there was a convention for asexuality where asexuals from all over the country/world could go and meet each other and discuss being asexual. Be able to buy ace pride merch or even just merch from small businesses owned by asexuals. There could even be a meet up areas specifically designed for finding certain relationships like looking for queer platonic, heteromantic, bi-romantic, homo-romantic , polygamous and monogamous sections in the romantic spaces or even just friendship. There could even be speaker who talk about being asexual in sexual job spaces(like Yasmin Benoit is and like I am too) and how they deal with that, or how to feel more comfortable with your asexuality. I think this would be a nice thing to have both as community thing but also as a way to help with asexual dating which is hard enough as is.(I don’t know if I spelled everything right so let me know if I didn’t and I’ll fix it)

This is a VENT. I don't care about you. This is about me.
It's so frustrating because it's an inconvenience. Whenever there's something sexual in any show or movie, I have to turn it off because it makes me violently ill. Its gotten to the point to where i just wtach mainly kid's shows and movies to avoid it all together instead of giving anything catered towards teens or adults a chance. I honestly wish that incould be the asexual that doesn't care about sex or better yet, not asexual at all. I hate it! I wish it would just go away. Ugh

What asexual topics would you like to see talked about in YouTube videos?
Hi, I used to make Youtube videos a few years ago but I stopped regularly creating content when I moved states. I want to get back into regularly creating content for the Aromantic and Asexual community,
I am wondering if anyone has any topics/questions/etc. that they would like to see discussed from a Asexual and Aromantic person. I want to be the representation I needed when I was a child.

do you think that allos have "acedar"? as if they know something is different about you?
So do you think that the allos kind of intuitively know that you're ace after a time? Is this a thing? Like something that they just sense? And I'm not even talking about the fact that it's like physical things like "oh, you always seem to be single" (because a lot of the time that (wrongly) leads people to question if maybe the ace person is gay), or maybe its that "you dont say innuendos or make smutty jokes" or "you dont seem to have gotten upto any escapades on the weekend hooking up with someone from a bar"
It's more just like can they just seem to sense something different about you? Like is it that you lack some sort of sexual aura or some sort of behaviour that they sense from other allos that you seem to be missing but they can't seem to place?. And ever if they do sense something, do they even realize it's specifically asexuality? Or is this just in my head that because I'm thinking about it all the time, somehow I'm radiating it out to them and they're picking something up? .

I’m engaged!
I never thought I’d find a partner, much less someone who would want to marry an asexual. I’ve dated a bit before I found her and nothing lasted more than a few weeks. She’s asexual and showed me that I am too after years of struggling to figure out who I am. She proposed last night when we were at Busch Gardens enjoying the Christmas lights. She’s my perfect match and I can’t wait to marry her.

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share a thought for those of us who identify as asexual or simply prefer being on our own: It’s absolutely okay to live your life without the pressure of relationships or societal expectations.
We live in a world that glorifies romantic connections, but there’s nothing wrong with prioritizing yourself, your goals, and your peace. Being alone doesn’t mean you’re lonely—it means you’ve chosen to focus on what truly makes you happy, without unnecessary drama or compromises.
As an asexual person, I’ve realized that life is so much more than romantic or sexual relationships. It’s about exploring your passions, building meaningful friendships, and enjoying your own company. You don’t need a partner to validate your existence.
So, to anyone out there feeling left out or judged for being asexual or alone: You’re not broken. You’re not missing out. You’re just living life on your terms, and that’s beautiful.

Asexual Man (Early 20s), friends and family are pushing me to date and shag. Don't really know what to do!!
Basically what the title says, for the last couple of years my parents have been pushing me to have 'normal' relationships, and to get some firsts done whilst I am at university, ie. Sex, Kissing ect. And, now that all of my friends are in relationships at university, they are trying to get me a partner also. Even though they know I'm asexual, and probably aromantic. I don't think they mentally worked out that if you cannot experience sexual desire towards someone/ dont want to have sex with them, that they might not want to be your partner. It's just really frustrating tbh. Don't really know what to do when it pervades every aspect of my life. From all family memebers, and all friends. Its systemic at this point haha.

After how many dates is it normal to be more intimate?
Basically, I invited a date to my place for the 3rd date and I was not thinking anything special would happen. Rather that we would just chill and get to know each other in a deeper level. He however had other plans and started making out with me.
I was really shocked by this and after I felt like he was going forward too fast. I also felt a bit sick and shaken by it. I feel like I would've needed to know him a lot better to even consider kissing. Is this a normal reaction or could I possibly be ace- or demisexual?

I'm currently 14 (15 in jan) and I feel like I'm too young to identify with anything but I've been questioning it since I found out what asexuality is, I would honestly be happy to die a virgin where with my friends they're all talking about sex.
