ክፍል የ2013 ዓ.ም. የመጀመሪያ ዲግሪ ተመራቂ ተማሪ የሆነችዉ መኪያ ደገፉ በኢትዮጲያ የፊዚክስ ባለሙያዎች ማህበር የሚዘጋጀዉን “Askok-Shobhana Gholap Award” በአገር አቀፍ ደረጃ ለሴት ተማሪዎች የተዘጋጀዉን ሽልማት አሸናፊ ሆናለች፡፡
ሽልማቱንም የት/ክፍሉ ኃላፊ እና መምህራን በተገኙበት በወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲ በ19/06/2013 ዓ.ም. በተከናወነዉ 15ኛዉ ዓመታዊ የኢትዮጲያ የፊዚክስ ባለሙያዎች ማህበር ጉባዔ ላይ ተቀብላለች፡፡
ት/ክፍሉም የተሰማዉን ታላቅ ደስታ በመግለጽ መኪያ ደገፉን እንኳን ደስ አለሽ ለማለት ይወዳል፡፡
ቀሪው ጊዜም የስኬት እንዲሆንላት በመመኘት የመኪያ ስኬት በሌሎች የትምህርት ክፍሉ ሴት ተማሪዎች እንደሚደገም በመተማመን ነው፡፡

አለም አቀፍ የሰቶች ቀን (March 8) በባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ የሴቶችና ሕፃናትና ወጣቶች ዳይሬክቶሬት አዘጋጅነት የካቲት 27/2013ዓ.ም በደማቅ ሁኔታ ተከበረ፡፡
የዘንድሮው አለም አቀፍ የሴቶች ቀን በአለም አቀፍ ደረጃ ለ110ኛ ጊዜ በሀገራችን ደግሞ ለ45ኛ ጊዜ የሚከበረው በዓል “የሴቶችን መብት የሚያከብር ማህበረሰብ እንገንባ” በሚል መሪ ቃል ሲሆን በባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ የጥበብ ሕንፃ የመሰብሰቢያ አዳራሽ በተለያዩ ፕሮግራሞች ተከብሯል፡፡
ፕሮግራሙን በንግግር የከፈቱት የባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ የሴቶችና ሕፃናትና ወጣቶች ዳይሬክቶሬት ወ/ሮ ብርሃኔ መንግስቴ እንዳሉት ለአንድ ሐገርም ሆነ ተቋም እድገት የሴቶች ተሳትፎ ከፍተኛ መሆኑን የአደጉ ሐገሮችን ልምድ አጣቅሰው ገልፀዋል፡፡ በባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ አሁን ባለው ተጨባጭ ሁኔታ ሴቶች በማብቃትና ወደ ከፍተኛ አመራር ለማምጣት የተሰራው ስራ ጥሩ ቢሆንም ተቋሙ ከዚህ በላይ መስራት እንዳለበት ያነሱት ወ/ሮ ብርሃኔ በአጠቃላይ በዩኒቨርሲቲው 43 ሴት መምህራን ሦስተኛ ድግሪ ያለቸው መሆኑን ጠቁመዋል፡፡
በዝግጅቱ ባሳለፍነው ዓመት የሦስተኛ ድግሪ ትምህርታቸውን ካጠናቀቁ 9 ሴት መምህራን መካከል ዶ/ር ሰላማዊት ገ/እግዚያብሔር፣ ዶ/ር ዘውዳለም ታምሩ፣ ዶ/ር መድሃኒት በላቸው እና ዶ/ር ረዴት መስፍን በትምህርት ቆይታቸው ያጋጠማቸውን ውጣ ውረድና የሕይዎት ተሞክሯቸውን በአዳራሹ ለሚገኙ ታዳሚዎች አካፍለዋል፡፡
በመቀጠል ዶ/ር አልማዝ ጊዜው ሴቶች በኢኮኖሚ፣በፖለቲካ፣በማህበራዊ እና በምርምር ያላቸውን ሚና የተለያዩ ምሳሌዎችን በማጣቀስ ለታዳሚዎች ንግግር አድርገዋል፤ እንዲሁም ዶ/ር ሰውመሆን ስለሰርዓተ ፆታ አጠር ያለ ገለፃ እና ስለዩኒቨርሲቲው ስርዓተ ፆታ ፖሊሲ፣ Gender Audit እንዲሁም ሎሎች ዩኒቨርሲቲው በስርዓተ ፆታ ዙሪያ እየሰራ ያላቸውን ጉዳዮች ላይ ገለፃ አድርገዋል፡፡
አቶ ደሳለኝ ጥጋቡ የባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ የሕግ አግልግሎት ተቀዳሚ ዳይሬክተር በዩኒቨርሲቲው ያሉ ሴት መምህራንና የአስተዳደር ሰራተኞች በሴትነታቸው የሚገጥማቸውን ማንኛውንም ዓይነት ችግሮች ለመቅረፍ እንዲሁም ሴቶችን የማብቃትና ወደ አመራርነት እንዲመጡ የተለያዩ ፖሊሲዎችን በመንደፍ እየሰራ መሆኑን ተናግረዋል ፡፡
በመጨረሻም ታዳሚዎች ለወደፊቱ ሊሻሻሉ የሚገባቸውን ጉዳዩች አንስተው ውይይት ተደርጎባቸዋል ፡፡

Bahir Dar University confers an Adjunct professor to four highly distinguished personalities

The university board in its regular meeting held on February 04, 2021 decided to give an Adjunct professor to four senior and notable researchers and teachers who are known to the university in their various professional contributions. The senate has mainly considered the wealth of experience these four distinguished scientists have that can be translated to helping students and faculty particularly in the postgraduate programs. The senate has also considered the great role four of the professors have been playing in guest teaching postgraduate students, supervising, evaluating theses and dissertations, and examining graduate program students’ research works at different times in the university. The senate, taking into account their immense research and teaching experience and their previous track record and the benefit that the university faculty could reap from these esteemed scholars, approved their adjunct professor.

BENEFIT- REALIZE program holds regional best technology transfer/
institutionalization workshop

BENEFIT- REALIZE program, funded by the Government of the Netherlands, works to ensure sustainability of agriculture based livelihood in Ethiopia held a regional best technology transfer/
institutionalization workshop in Gondar town. In the workshop, Bahir Dar and Woldia Universities BENEFIT- REALIZE program three years’work activities and the possibility of continuation of the program and issues of regional best technology transfer/institutionalization and have been discussed.
In the workshop, the past three years best practices and success stories of, Bahir Dar University BENEFIT- REALIZE program in conjunction with development safety net program,on seed, capacity building and system development which was able to transform the lives of farmers in ten woredas that haven’t guaranteed their food security nationwide have been reported.
Opening the workshop, Dr Tewedros Tefera, Country Manager of BENEFIT- REALIZE program, pointed out that in the past three years, the program has been successful in developing, adapting and verifying best experiences to parts of the society who haven’t secured their food security. He added as a result of the hard work done by the program, it was possible to see a number of people who were in safety net programs to be self reliant and be models to other farmers. He stressed the need to build the capacity of partner institutions in the field be able to sustain the development activities in a sustainable manner as the BENEFIT- REALIZE program is coming to an end.
Bahir Dar University BENEFIT- REALIZE program manager, Dr Almaz Gizew, on her part presented the two years' performances of the program. She stated that the program has been working on ten selected woredas in West Amhara Region who have been identified to have food security issue. She said expansion works have been done on Marado Papaya Production, food barley production, bread wheat, teff, home gardening, one timad package, supply of selected potato seed, preparation and advantages of vermicompost in the selected woredas. In her presentation, Dr Almaz has focused on the major activities and achievements, the enabling situations, the experiences gained and the challenges faced in the due course of the program.
In the event, model farmers who have benefited from the BENEFIT- REALIZE program and have ensured their food security witnessed about their experience to participants of the workshop.
Finally, the participants who came from Bahir Dar University, Bahir Dar and Woldia Universities BENEFIT- REALIZE program, bureau of Agriculture in the region, Agricultural Research Institute and Agricultural Research Centers, Regional Disaster Prevention and Food Security Commission and partner projects discussed about the role of partner institutions to continue with the different development activities which have so far achieved by the program as the BENEFIT- REALIZE program is coming to an end.

“Learn to build your own business idea and learn how to sell it” በሚል ርዕስ ከየካቲት 08/2013 ዓ.ም. ጀምሮ ለ7 ተከታታይ ቀናት የሚሰጠውን ስልጠና የኢንስቲትዩቱ የምርምርና ማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት ምክትል ሳይንቲፊክ ዳይሬክተር ዶ/ር መኳንንት አገኘሁ በአካል ተገኝተው ከፍተዋል፡፡
በመክፈቻው ፕሮግራም ላይ ዶ/ር መኳንንት እንደተናገሩት ማዕከሉ ከተቋቋመበት አጭር ጊዜ ጀምሮ ላከናወናቸው ተግባራት እውቅና ሰጥተው ሰልጣኞቹ ይህንን የስልጠና ዕድል በሚገባ ተጠቅመው የስራ ፈጠራ ሃሳባቸውን ከፍ ወዳለ ደረጃ የሚያሸጋግሩበት መድረክ እንደሚሆን ያላቸውን እምነት የገለጹ ሲሆን ለgiz እና መሰል ድጋፍ አድራጊ ተቋማት በኢንስቲትዩቱ ስም ምስጋና አቅርበዋል፡፡
የማዕከሉ ዳይሬክተር አቶ ሄኖክ መብራቴ በበኩላቸው ስለ ማዕከሉ አጭር ገለፃ አቅርበው የስልጠናውን ዋና አላማ እና ዝርዝር መርሃ-ግብር ለሰልጣኞች በማስተዋወቅ ስልጠናውን አስቀጥለዋል፡፡

ዘመናዊ ትምህርታችን እና ኢትዮጵያዊ ባህላችን ምንና ምን? በሚል ርዕስ የባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ መምህራን እና ተማሪዎች በተገኙበት በዋናው ግቢ መሰብሰቢያ አዳራሽ አውደ ጥናት ተካሄደ፡፡
የእንኳን ደህና መጣችሁ ንግግር ያረጉት በባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ባህል ማእከል ዳይሬክተር ዶ/ር አስቴር ሙሉ የውይይት ሐሳብ ለማቅረብ የተገኙ እንግዶችን አመስግነው ማዕከሉ የተለያዩ ባህላዊና ኪነጥበባዊ ዝግጅቶችን በማቅረብ የዩኒቨርሲቲችንን ማሕበረሰብ እያዝናና በማስተማር፣ እንዲሁም ሁሉም የዩኒቨርሲቲው ማህበረሰብ የሚጠበቅበትን ኃላፊነት እንደየ ድርሻው እንዲወጣ ለማሳሰብ ዕድሎችን እየፈጠረ ይገኛል፡፡ ‹‹አንድን ሀገር ለመግደል፣የጦር መሳሪያ ወይም ወታደር አያስፈልግም፣የትምህርት ስርዓቱን መግደል ነው›› እንዲሉ፤ምንም እንኳን ስለትምህርት ለሚደረግ ውይይት ይህ አዲስና የመጀመሪያ ባይሆን ምናልባት በዚህ ርዕስ ላይ ለመወያየት ዛሬ ምን ተገኘ የሚል ጥያቄ በአንዳንዶቻችን አእምሮ ሊመጣ ይችላል ያሉት ዶ/ር አስቴር የለውጥ ጭላንጭል ለማየት አሁንም አይረፍድም ብለዋል፡፡
ኃላፊዋ አክለውም ዛሬ ሀገራችን ያለችበት ምስቅልቅል ሁኔታ፡- በተለይም የችግሮቻችን መፍትሄ ሊሆኑ የሚገባቸው ‹‹ሙሁራኖቻችን›› መፍትሄ መሆኑ ቀርቶ የችግር ምንጪ ሲሆኑ እያየን መምጣታችን፤ የሳይንስና ከፍተኛ ትምህርት ሚኒስቴር የአስር ዓመት ስልታዊ ዕቅድ ማቅረቡን ተከትሎ ዕቅዱ ላይ ለሚደረግ ውይይት ገንቢ ሃሳቦችን ማቀበል ተገቢ ነው ብለን በማመናችን፤ ጥሩ ነገርን ለመስራት እና ለመፍጠር የሚሉት ለዛሬው መወያያ ርዕስ ምክንያቶች መሆናቸውን ገልፀውልናል::
በፓናል ውይይቱ ፕ/ር ሹመት ሲሻኝ፣ ፕ/ር አለማየሁ ቢሻው፣ ዶ/ር ታደሰ መለሰ እና አባ በአማን ግሩም በሀሳብ አፍላቂነት እንዲሁም ዶ/ር ማረው አለሙ በአወያይነት ተሳትፈውበታል፡፡
ፕሮፌሰር ሹመት ሲሻኝ ዘመናዊ/አውሮፓዊው ትምህርትን ከ16ኛው ክፍለ ዘመን ጀምሮ በአለም አቀፍ ደረጃ ከፍተኛ ተፅኖ የፈጠረ መሆኑን ጠቅሰው ይህን ማስቀረት የሚቻል እንዳልነበረ ነገር ግን በሀገራችን ነባራዊ ሁኔታዎች እንዲቃኝ አለመደረጉ ዋናው ችግር ሆኖ ዘልቋል ብለዋል፡፡ በዘመኑም ኢትዮጵያ ጥንካሬዋ የተዳከመበት መሆኑ በምክንያትነት መነሳት ይችላል ብለዋል፡፡ ፕሮፌሰሩ አክለውም ሀገራችን ከ13-16 ክፍለ ዘመን በታሪክ፣ ባህል እና በመንፈሳዊነት ከፍተኛ እምርታ አሳይታ የነበረች መሆኑን አውስተው የስልጣን መተካካት አለመኖር ግን ወደ ማያቆም ቁልቁሎሽ እንድንሄድ እንዳደረገን ጠቁመዋል፡፡ ዘመናዊው ትምህርት ሲጀመር ሀገራዊ ሁኔታን ያላየ ለመሆኑ ፕሮፌሰሩ በተማሩበት ከአራት አስርዮሽ በፊት ስለ አድዋ የሚያነሳ ምንም አይነት የትምህርት ይዘት እንዳልነበረ አስታውሰዋል፡፡ ፕሮፌሰር ሹመት በመጨረሻም አሁን ያለውን ተጨባጭ እውነታ ማጤን እንደሚገባ እና የሞቱ፣ ሳንጠቀምባቸው ያመለጡንን ባህላዊ እሴቶች መልሶ ለማምጣት የሚደረግ ጥረት ትርፉ መጋጋጥ ነው ሲሉ ሀሳባቸውን አጋርተዋል፡፡
ፕ/ር አለማየሁ ቢሻው በበኩላቸው ዘመናዊው/የአስኳላው ትምህርት አጀማመርን አስመልክተው ታሪካዊ ኩነቶችን ጠቅሰዋል፡፡ ከ19ኛው የመጨረሻ ሩብ ከጣሊያን ጦርነት ማግስት በአፄ ምኒሊክ የተጀመረ መሆኑን ጠቁመው ተግዳሮቶች እንዳጋጠሙትና ግብፃዊ የሆኑት ሊቀ-ጳጳስም ተጠቃሽ እንደሆኑ አውስተዋል፡፡ ዋናው ችግርም ከራሳችን ጋር የተዋሀደ አለመሆኑን ተናግረው. ስለ ኢትዮጵያ ትምህርት ቤቶች አንድ አጥኚ የተናገሩት ሁኔታውን ይገልፀዋል ሲሉ እንዲህ አስታውሰዋል፡- “There is nothing Ethiopian except the children.”
ዶ/ር ታደሰ መለሰ በበኩላቸው ዘመናዊ እና ባህላዊ የሚለውን ክፍፍል እና የእኛው ባህላዊ መባሉ “አእምሯችን በቅኝ ግዛት” ውስጥ እንደሆኑ ጠቋሚ ነው ሲሉ የጥበብ ባለቤቶች መሆናችንን መቀማታችን ማሳያ አው ብለዋል፡፡ በኢትዮጵያ የሃይማኖት ተቋማት ትምህርት በአርአያነት ሊወሳ የሚገባው ነገር እንዳለ አንስተው ለአስኳላ ትምህርት ተማሪዎች ምሳሌ መሆን የሚችል ታታሪነት እርስ በእርስ የመሟገት እና የመማማር የሚያስችል መሆኑን አንስተዋል፡፡
ሌላው የውይይቱ ሃሳብ አቅራቢ አባ በአማን ግሩም ኢትዮጵያዊ በሆኑ የሃይማኖት ተቋማት በዋናነት በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ቤተክርስቲያን ከሚሰጠው የማስተማር ዘዴ ተማሪ ተኮርነትን፣ የግምገማ ስርአቱን ግልፀኝነት፣ ተማሪ ማብቃት ላይ የተመሰረተ መሆኑ፣ የተማሪዎችን የተለያየ ትምህርት የመቀበል አቅም ያማከለ መሆኑ እና ሌሎች እንደጥንካሬ ተወስዶ ሊዳብር ይገባው እንደነበር ጠቁመው ከዚህ በተቃራኒው በፅሁፍ ትምህርትን የሚያስተላልፉ ሰዎችን እንኳን አሉታዊ ቅፅል ስሞች ይሰጡ እንደነበር በቁጭት አውስተዋል፡፡
በአውደ ጥናቱ በስነ ምግባር የታነፀ ዜጋ ለመፍጠር ሀገር በቀል የግብረ-ገብ ትምህርት እና ሌሎች አገራዊ እሴቶችን ያካተተ ስርዓተ ትምህርት እንዲኖር እንዲሁም ዘመናዊው ትምህርት እና ኢትዮጵያዊ ባህላችን መካከል የሚስተዋሉ ልዩነቶችን አጉልቶ ማውጣት እና መፍትሄ ማፈላለግ በተሳታፊዎች በዝርዝር ተነስቷል፡፡ በተጨማሪም ኢትዮጵያዊ የሚባሉ ባህላዊ እሴቶችን የመለየት፣ የማያሥፈልጉትን ለይቶ የማሻሻል እና የመሳሰሉት ትልቅ ስራ የሚጠይቁ መሆናቸው ተነስቷል፡፡
ውይይቱን በንግግር የዘጉት የባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ አስተዳደር ጉዳዮች ም/ፕሬዝዳንት አቶ ብርሀኑ ገድፍ ባህል ማእከሉን፣ የውይይቱ ሀሳብ አቅራቢ ምሁራንና ተሳታፊዎችን አመስግነው ምሁራን ከዩኒቨርሲቲ መምህርነት አልፈው አገራዊ በሆኑ ጉዳዮች ትርጉም ያለው ስራ መስራት እንደሚገባ ተናግረዋል፡፡ አክለውም ባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ እንደዚህ ላሉ ጠቀሜታቸው ጉልህ የሆኑ ምሁራዊ ውይይቶችን እንደሚደግፍ አረጋግጠው የተሳታፊውን ቁጥር ለማሳደግ ስራ እንደሚፈልግ ጠቁመዋል፡፡

Capacity building training is held in Bahir Dar

Ministry of Science and Higher Education in collaboration with European Union EDCT project held a capacity building training on ``Good research conduct, research ethics and GCP`` to research ethics committee, research directors and researchers in universities, research institutes and regulatory institutions from March 26-28, 2021 at Jacaranda hotel, Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. The training enforces the idea of maintaining quality standard for the design, conduct, and recording and reporting of research that involves the participation of human subjects. It has been learned that researchers and officials from ten universities in Amhara region took part in the training and trainings akin to the current one are being undertaken in other universities in the country.

ከበይነ መረብ ውይይቱ ባሻገር በባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ጥበብ ህንጻ አዳራሽ የዩኒቨርሲቲው አመራሮች ፣መምህራን እንዲሁም በአጠቃላይ የዩኒቨርሲቲው ማህበረሰብ ተሳታፊ የሆነበት በሳይንስና ከፍተኛ ትምህርት ሚኒስቴር የተዘጋጀ ሰነድ ቀርቧል፡፡
የባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ አካዳሚክ ጉዳዮች ም/ፕሬዝዳንት ዶ/ር እሰይ ከበደ የከፍተኛ ትምህርተ ፖሊሲና ስትራቴጂ ፣የከፍተኛ ትምህርት ተማሪዎች የምደባ ፖሊሲ የሚመለከተውን ክፍል አቅርበዋል፡፡
በተመሳሳይ የዩኒቨርሲቲው አስተዳደር ጉዳዮች ም/ፕሬዝዳንት አቶ ብርሃኑ ገድፍ የከፍተኛ ትምህርት ዘርፍ የአስር አመት የልማት እቅድ ምን ይመስላል የሚለውን ያቀረቡ ሲሆን የዩኒቨርሲቲው ምርምርና ማህበረሰብ ም/ፕሬዝዳንት ዶ/ር ተስፋየ ሽፈራው ደግሞ ብሄራዊ የሳይንስ ፖሊሲ ስትራቴጂ እና ከፖሊሲው የተቀዳውን የ10 አመት የሳይንስ ዘርፍ ልማት ስትራቴጅክ እቅድ ለታሳታፊወች አቅርበዋል፡፡ ስልጠናው በዩኒቨርሲቲው የተለያዩ ግቢዎች እንደሚቀጥል ታውቋል፡፡

The first batch of PhD in Public Health candidates from College of Medicine and Health Sciences, School of Public Health successfully defended their PhD dissertations, the first in the history of the college. በሙሉጎጃም አንዱዓለም
በባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ጥበብ ሕንፃ የመሰብሰቢያ አዳራሽ የተጀመረው ይህ ስልጠና ከየካቲት 4 እስከ 06/2013 የሚቆይ ሲሆን የከፍተኛ ትምህርት ተቋማት ሀገሪቱ የምትፈልገውን የሰው ኀይል በብዛትና በጥራት በማፍራት ፖሊሲዎችንና ስትራቴጂዎችን በአግባቡ ተግባራዊ የሚያደርጉ አመራሮችን ለማውጣት ከታለመው ተከታታይ ስልጠና አንዱ መሆኑን የሳይንስና ከፍተኛ ትምህርት ሚኒስትር ሳሙኤል ኡርቃቶ (ዶክተር) ጠቁመዋል፡፡
ስልጠናውን የባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር ፍሬው ተገኘ ለታዳሚዎች የእንኳን ደህና መጣችሁ መልዕክት በማስተላለፍ የከፈቱት ሲሆን "ባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲን በወፍ በረር" በሚል ርዕሰ ጉዳይ ላይ የተዘጋጀውን ዶከመንተሪ መረጃ በማቅረብ ዩኒቨርሲቲው ያከናወናቸውንና ሌሎች በርካታ ተግባራትን እያከናወነ መሆኑን በሰፊው አስተዋውቀዋል፡፡
ዩኒቨርሲቲው በፕሮጀክቶች አማካኝነት የበርካታ ማህበረሰብን ችግር እየፈታ እንደሆነና ቴክኖሎጂ ነክ ፈጠራዎችን በስፋት በመስራት የኮሮና ቫይረስ ወረርሽኝን ለመግታት የሐኪሞችን ሙሉ የመከላከያ አልባሳት በማምረት ያላሰለሰ ጥረት ማድረጉን ፕሬዚዳንቱ ገልፀዋል፡፡
በተጨማሪም ባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ በተለያዩ ግቢዎች ከመማር ማስተማር፣ ምርምርና ማህበረሰብ አግልግሎት ተግባሮቹ በተጨማሪ ለጀማሪ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች የዕውቀትና የቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር እያደረገ እንደሚገኝም ተናግረዋል፡፡
በዩኒቨርሲቲው ምሁራን የተሰራ "PALM City Bahir Dar" የተሰኘ አዲስ የሞባይል መተግበሪያ በታዳሚዎች ፊት በይፋ ስራ ላይ እንዲውል ተደርጎ ለእንግዶች ዘርፈ ብዙ ጥቅሞችን እንደሚሰጥ የፈጠራው ባለቤቶች አስረድተዋል፡፡
የሳይንስና ከፍተኛ ትምህርት ሚኒስቴር ሚኒስትር ዶ/ር ሳሙኤል ኡርቃቶ የዩኒቨርሲቲው ፕሬዚዳንት ያቀረቡት ገለፃ ይበል የሚያሰኝና ለሌሎች ተቋማት ጥሩ ተሞክሮ እንደሆነ ጠቁመው የስልጠናው ዋና ዓላማ የሳይንስና ከፍተኛ ትምህርት ሚኒስቴር በቀጣይ 10 ዓመታት ከተለመደው አሠራር በመውጣት በክህሎትና በእውቀት የዳበሩ አመራሮችን ለማፍራት ታልሞ መሆኑን ተናግረዋል።
ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ባለፉት ጊዚያት የኮሮና ቫይረስ ወረርሽኝን ለመከላከል የበኩላቸውን አስተዋፅኦ ማበርከታቸውን አውስተው ይህ ተሞክሮም በቀጣይ በሚሠራው ሥራ ልምድ የሚወሰድበት መሆኑን አስገንዝበዋል፡፡ ሚንስትሩ አክለውም ውይይቱ ከተለመደው ወጣ ባለ መልኩ ከወረቀት በዘለለ ውይይት ላይ ያተኮረና በቅንጅት ስራ የዳበረ ብሎም አንዱ ተቋም ከሌላው ጋር ተናቦ የተሻለ ውጤት የሚመዘገብበት እንዲሆን አሳስበዋል፡፡
