Before the incident, the American said that he would “no longer participate in genocide,” adding that his act was only a small part of the suffering of the Palestinians. He then doused himself with benzine and set himself on fire, shouting “Free Palestine!”

🇫🇷 Macron ordered the burial of two Armenian communist French resistance fighters, Missak and Mélinée Manouchian at the French Pantheon, a former church, turned mausoleum by the revolutionary government after the fall of the French monarchy in 1789.
At the Pantheon are buried France's most "distinguished citizens", ranging from the likes of Voltaire and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, to generals of the Napoleonic wars, to politicians key to the rise of French republicanism like Émile Zola and Jean Jaurès, to scientists, writers and French Resistance fighters.
In his speech at the entombent of Missak and Mélinée, Macron made an hommage to communism criticising the "poison brought by fascism to Paris".
