Former Ft. Detrick Commander Struggles to Name One Positive Outcome of Dangerous Gain-of-Function Research
At a recent congressional hearing, Dr. Gerald Parker, Associate Dean @ TAMUOneHealth College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, seemingly found more negative than positive things to say about gain-of-function research.
“There's another side to that dual-use, and that's the bad. How do we mitigate the misuse of these advancing technologies of someone who wants to do harm?” questioned Dr. Parker.

Canada Will Legalize Medically Assisted Dying For People Addicted to Drugs
Some drug user activists have likened the move to "eugenics" and say Canada should be funding more harm reduction.
Canada will legalize medically assisted dying for people who are addicted to drugs next spring, in a move some drug users and activists are calling “eugenics.”
The country’s medical assistance in dying (MAID) law, which first came into effect in 2016, will be expanded next March to give access to people whose sole medical condition is mental illness, which can include substance use disorders. Before the changes take place, however, a special parliamentary committee on MAID will regroup to scrutinize the rollout of the new regulations, according to the Toronto Star.
Currently, people are eligible for MAID if they have a “grievous and irremediable medical condition”, such as a serious illness or disability, that has put them in an advanced state of irreversible decline and caused enduring physical or psychological suffering—excluding mental illness. Anyone who receives MAID must also go through two assessments from independent health care providers, among meeting other criteria.
The contentious idea of including people who are addicted to drugs is being discussed this week at a conference for the Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine in Victoria, British Columbia.

At last, an area I’d worked out was fraudulent while I was still in industry.
There are some aspects of being an older male which I strongly advise you not to ignore, specifically, difficulty in starting urination, a need to revisit the toilet even though you’ve been recently, waking more than once to urinate among them.
But been wary of the misdiagnoses you’re quite likely to get.
“Screening prostate health by means of regular testing for blood levels of PSA” I strongly recommend you read about & resist getting your life medicalised. I know older men who have this on their mind more or less constantly, usually without justification.
As a general rule, I do not favour whole population screening “to detect disease early, so you can do something about it”.
It’s so alluring, but what you’re not told about the poor prognostic value of many such tests, nor that there isn’t a useful next step that will yield a more definitive answer. Before you know it, you’re on a couple of drugs you don’t need, for life, and scheduling a biopsy (which almost certainly won’t be definitive) & maybe a prostatectomy.
While things can go wrong, you are not a car. You do not need regular check ups. The “healthcare” system needs you to have them.

This Flesh-Eating Parasite Spread by Sand Flies Has Foothold in u.s., Appears to Be Endemic in Texas, CDC Scientists Report
Once thought to be a danger largely reserved for travelers, a flesh-eating parasite known as Leishmania mexicana is now likely spreading locally through some sand flies native to the southern U.S., a new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention analysis has concluded.
Skin sores caused by Leishmania mexicana typically erupt weeks to months after people are bitten by an infected fly. The parasite's lesions can last for years, the CDC says, leading to scarring in its wake.
Hospitals have some options for drugs to use in trying to treat patients suffering from this disease caused by the parasite, which doctors call cutaneous leishmaniasis, though the CDC says not all cases require treatment with medications to combat the parasite.
No vaccine is available for leishmaniasis in humans.
The immediate concern triggered by the discovery is raising awareness of the parasite, officials say, which now appears to be "endemic" in Texas as well as some southern border states.

FDA Finds Safety Signal for COVID-19 Vaccination Among Toddlers
“Seizures/convulsions ‘met the statistical threshold for a signal’ in children aged 2 to 4 following receipt of a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and children aged 2 to 5 following receipt of a Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, researchers with the FDA and three large healthcare companies said in a new preprint study.
A safety signal is a sign that a health condition may be caused by vaccination, but further research is required to verify a link.
Overall, 72 cases of seizures/convulsions were recorded within seven days of a shot among toddlers and other young children. Most happened within three days of a shot.”

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) accepted $11.8 million from HHS to promote COVID-19 vaccines to pregnant women, despite the exclusion of pregnant women from clinical trials and regulatory data showing the “vaccine” HAD NOT been tested for safety during pregnancy.

Canadian Nurse Faces Disciplinary Hearing For Social Media Posts Criticizing Covid Mandates
In a striking case that brings free speech to the forefront, Saskatchewan nurse Leah McInnes has found herself on the brink of a disciplinary hearing. They're taking action against Pfizer and Moderna for dealing with genetically modified organisms (GMOs) without a license in Australia.
Katie Ashby-Koppens: "The allegations are that the Covid-19 mRNA vaccines are genetically modified organisms by way of definition under the Gene Technology Act in Australia, as they are capable of transferring genetic material. The fact that they are able to transfer genetic material means that those products should have been properly considered by the gene Technology regulator in Australia. And they were not."
