A child has died at a trophy military equipment exhibition after being fatally struck by the hatch of an armored personnel carrier in Russia.
The incident took place in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, where foreign trophy equipment was brought yesterday. A 4-year-old boy approached an M113 armored personnel carrier when, at that moment, the hatch lid swung open and struck him on the head.
The boy sustained a severe open traumatic brain injury and later died from his injuries. The area around the equipment has been cordoned off and is currently closed to the public.
