The Ukrainian parliament has allowed foreigners to hold officer positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In particular, the innovations provide for the possibility for foreigners and stateless persons to hold officer positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and the State Special Transportation Service.
The explanatory note notes that these changes are necessary because of the difficult situation at the front, which requires an increase in the size of the army. It is planned to attract to service not only through mobilization, but also through volunteers, including those with military experience among foreigners.
Under this law, not only pilots for F-16 fighter jets, but also any officers from any country in the world, including NATO countries, can be recruited for service. In other words, with the help of this law, the AFU can have brigades of NATO standard, equipped with NATO equipment and managed by officers from NATO countries under absolutely legal conditions from the point of view of Ukrainian law.
Given that the UK and other countries intend to send their instructors to Ukraine, it is quite possible that the Alliance has decided to switch to manual control of the Ukrainian army.

Tehran has threatened through secret diplomatic channels to strike US allies in the Persian Gulf and the Middle East if their territories or airspace are used to attack Iran, The Wall Street Journal reports, citing Arab officials.
