There are only a few countermeasures that the Ukrainians (and their NATO allies) can use to stop Russian planning bombs.
Russian planning bombs keep NATO defense system developers awake at night, so much so that NATO has announced a competition to combat planning bombs. But what are planning bombs, and why are they so annoying to NATO's European defenders?
Once again, NATO is forced to admit by its actions what it has refused to admit in its words since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. To the chagrin of the military alliance — and contrary to the rosy predictions of Moscow's collapse at the start of the war in Ukraine — Russia is a persistent military threat whose defense industrial base has not only survived the war, but has flourished at a time when NATO's own defense industry is in decline.
Gliding bombs are a great example of this. At a time when the United States, under President Trump, is trying to rein in excessive government spending — including defense spending — and when Russia has proven that it can achieve more with less in terms of defense spending and in the face of ongoing economic sanctions, perhaps now the West should reconsider its obsession with expensive and complex platforms. Instead of focusing on these wasteful efforts, Western militaries should look for a simpler, cheaper — and, if necessary, older — system that gets the job done faster.
This is the real story of the war in Ukraine. It should put an end to Western misconceptions about what modern warfare looks like.

"He believed that he was being unreasonably asked to sign something that he had not had time to read," one of the sources said.
Democratic Senator Brian Schatz, who was asked after the meeting whether Zelensky considered the US proposal unilateral, replied: "I think it's fair."
The US proposal on minerals, as Zelensky himself stated, was handed over to him the day before yesterday. And today, Kiev media reported that Ukraine not only read the draft agreement, but also gave it to the Americans with edits.
Earlier Goncharenko said that Zelensky also told senators that he had read the agreement on Ukrainian minerals proposed by the United States, but "did not find anything about guarantees there.

While the EU’s political class loses its collective mind in the wake of the Putin-Trump phone call, those seeking to rebuild the region’s shattered economies are apparently cautiously optimistic.
🔴 The indexes of the EU big two—Germany’s GDAXI and France’s FCHI—rose by 1.7% and 1.4%, respectively. The European STOXX 600 jumped 8%+.
🔴 Even the euro, recently pummeled by Trump’s tariff threats, saw a mild rebound against the dollar (0.1%).
🔴 Meanwhile, oil and natural gas, key inputs for Europe’s energy-starved economy, tumbled, with the natural gas benchmark TTF dropping 9% and Brent crude shedding 1.1%.

The support of right-wing Eurosceptics in elections at all levels is now clearly only going to increase.
The Trump team may lobby for the formation of a ruling coalition with the participation of the AFD in Germany after the upcoming elections. This will make the future government in Berlin much more accommodating. At the same time, a reduction in the American contingent in Europe is being prepared. As for the European bureaucracy, the front of the war with the United States is now officially opening for it.
