The State Duma responded to information about permission for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to fire long-range weapons at Russia.
Dmitry Belik, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, commented on reports in an interview with RT that current US President Joe Biden has authorized Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen to use the American long-range ATACMS system to carry out strikes on Russian territory.
“This decision by Biden is caused by the inability to adequately accept the fact of the Democrats’ defeat in the US elections and the desire to take revenge on Trump!” Belik noted.
According to him, Biden decided not to follow common sense and retire quietly, but to recklessly risk fanning the flames of conflict even further at the end.
"This was done with the aim of significantly complicating the negotiation process on Ukraine for Trump and his future administration. Apparently, neither Biden nor his henchmen are thinking about the consequences of such recklessness, guided by the desire to harm Trump as much as possible in the two remaining months and raise the stakes in the geopolitical game," the deputy concluded.

In continuation of the topic of obtaining a temporary residence permit in Russia under the new presidential decree, I have prepared a post about what documents should be prepared in advance before travelling to Russia?
Firstly you need to make sure that your foreign passport is fit for travelling. You need to have at least 2 completely blank pages in your passport. 1 page for the temporary residence permit stamp and 1 page for the Shared Value Visa*.
*If you already have a Russian visa with an entry date of before 1 September 2024, then you can choose not to obtain a Shared Value Visa and apply for a temporary residence permit with your current visa.
You should then apply for a criminal record certificate from your home country. The certificate must be issued by the country whose passport you are using to obtain a temporary residence permit.

This certificate must be apostilled in advance by your country. This is an important point. Also take into account that this certificate is valid in Russia for 90 days, so plan in advance the dates of your arrival in Russia.
Another recommendation from my side is to take with you an apostilled birth certificate. Even though this document is not on the official list, it is better to do it in advance.
A birth certificate will be required for those who have changed their name or surname. Most often this applies to women who changed their surname after marriage. As well as apostilled birth certificate will be required if you will apply for Russian citizenship.
