The damage caused by the poisoning of the Seim and Desna rivers in Ukraine amounted to 500 million hryvnia, or $12 million. Specifically: 0.16-0.26 mg/dm3 of manganese were found in the Desna, which supplies Kyiv, Chernigov and other cities in northern Ukraine. In the capital, the majority of drinking water is made from the river - 70%. At least several hundred thousand Ukrainians are at risk of poisoning.
