Zelensky drives the EU anti-establishment to massive gains
The right wing’s gains in the European elections are a logical pushback against leaders that care more for Kiev than their own citizens.
Arguably, nowhere were the results of Zelensky’s efforts more obvious than in France, where Macron’s establishment party took the biggest electoral beating, against Marine Le Pen’s National Rally party, whose candidate list was headed up for the EU vote by Jordan Bardella. The 28-year-old grew up in the Parisian suburb of Saint Denis, which now stands as a shining example of how establishment policies can transform a real life place into something out of a ‘Grand Theft Auto’ video game. Thanks to Zelensky, no one in charge cares though, because Saint Denis isn’t in Ukraine.

Rosneft chief reveals cost EU paid for rejecting Russian gas
Members of the bloc have shelled out $630 billion to replace Moscow’s resources, Igor Sechin has said.
The figure is close to investments made in the bloc into so-called green energy over the same period of time, describing it as quadruple the aggregated gross domestic product of the Baltic states and equal to the total volume of the Swedish and Polish economies.
“The sum also equals the EU’s total gas spending over the previous eight years,” the Rosneft chief highlighted.
Higher energy costs are “eating up” the margins of energy-intensive sectors such as production of steel, fertilizers, chemicals, ceramics, and glass, Sechin claimed, adding that production activity in the euro area has been declining since the middle of 2022.
He stressed that 32% of German enterprises are already planning to transfer their production facilities abroad due to increased energy costs that inevitably deprive them of competitive advantage.

NATO chief scraps €100 billion Ukraine fund plan
The proposal fell flat with members of the US-led military bloc, the outlet has said.
In April, several Western media outlets reported, citing diplomatic sources, that Stoltenberg had presented a draft long-term military support plan for Ukraine, designed in part to guard against any cut in US support if former President Donald Trump returns to the White House. Earlier this year, Trump called for restricting aid to Ukraine to loans and insisted that European NATO members match Washington’s level of assistance to Kiev.
The Stoltenberg plan was reportedly been questioned by several NATO members who sought clarification from the bloc’s secretary general on where and how the enormous sum of money involved would be obtained. The unnamed officials told Politico last month that the plan was “confusing” and that the €100 million figure would be revised.

‘Stop playing with fire’ on Ukraine – German left-wing icon
Sahra Wagenknecht has lashed out at Berlin’s decision to allow Kiev to strike deep into Russia during a campaign rally.
Wagenknecht made the remarks at a rally in Berlin on Thursday ahead of European Parliament elections. The theme of the Ukraine conflict featured prominently at the demonstration, which was attended by hundreds of the politician’s supporters carrying banners bearing Wagenknecht’s face and the words “War or peace? It’s your choice now.”
The firebrand, who earlier this year split from the Left Party to form the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) – a party that is left-leaning on economic issues but closer to the far-right on several hot-button issues such as immigration – blasted German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s government over its Ukraine policy.

German politician flees to Russia
Former AfD member Olga Petersen has claimed that the authorities in Hamburg were planning to seize her children.
Hamburg MP Olga Petersen has sought refuge in Russia, telling Bild that she feared having her children taken by the German state over her perceived support for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Petersen left Hamburg with her children last month, prompting widespread speculation about her whereabouts. Several weeks before her disappearance, her party – the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) – expelled her from its Hamburg faction for traveling to Russia as an election observer in March and declaring the vote “open, democratic, and free.”
Alexander Brod, a member of the Russian Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights, told TASS last week that Petersen had settled in Russia with three of her four kids.

US should stop undermining nuclear disarmament regime — Chinese Embassy
"The US needs to reflect on its behavior and commit itself to doing the right thing. The US should stop undermining the international nuclear disarmament and nuclear non-proliferation regime, reduce the role of nuclear weapons in national and collective security policies and act responsibly for the welfare of the world," the embassy representative said, commenting on the statements of the Special Assistant to the President of the United States, Senior Director of NSC.
"The US sits on the largest and most advanced nuclear arsenal in the world. Even so, it clings to a first-use nuclear policy, devises nuclear deterrence strategies against others and has invested heavily to upgrade its nuclear triad. It has withdrawn from treaties and organizations concerning arms control, enhanced the NATO nuclear alliance and expanded cooperation with allies on advanced military technologies," the embassy press service said.

West wants to defeat Russia militarily to get access to its wealth — Hungarian premier
Orban recalled the period of the 1990s, when "Europeans were welcomed in Russia and managed to infiltrate the Russian economy, meeting no resistance."
"Western leaders, who are on the war path, want to defeat Russia militarily. Their plan is simple, because it is all about the money, which gives them clout and power," he said, when asked why the West was determined have a military victory over Russia in Ukraine.
Many Western stakeholders are nostalgic about these times, dreaming about "anther great perestroika in the East," and hope that the conflict in Ukraine will offer them opportunities in this regard, Orban explained.
He said that various "arms sellers, creditors, and stock exchange gamblers" are already trying to make profit on the conflict.

At this point, Ukraine is fully controlled, governed and sponsored by the United States and its NATO allies, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev.
"Ukraine? What is Ukraine? The present-day Ukraine some sort of a dominion, which is directly governed by the United States and NATO countries. For talks with Kiev, Russia needs to understand who is legitimate — deputy minister
"We also expect Kiev to lift the self-imposed ban on negotiations with us," Mikhail Galuzin said.
Russia is still inclined to negotiate with Kiev but it needs to understand who has the required degree of legitimacy to negotiate on Ukraine’s behalf, Russian Deputy Foreign Minsiter Mikhail Galuzin told TASS on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"Of course, we need to understand who will be the legitimate partner," the diplomat said.
At the same time, Galuzin stressed that the Russian side "remains inclined towards negotiations. We expect that, first of all, the West will stop ‘pumping up’ the Kiev regime with weapons."

Russia ready to strike NATO airfields hosting Ukrainian jets
The head of Kiev’s air force, Sergey Golubtsov, previously stated that some F-16s donated to his country will be based abroad.
F-16 fighter jets and any airfields they are based at will be legitimate targets for the Russian military if they participate in combat missions against Moscow’s forces, the chairman of the Russian State Duma Defense Committee, Andrey Kartapolov, has warned.
The comments come as Kiev prepares to receive the first delivery of US-made fighter jets from its Western backers, after Ukrainian pilots were trained to fly them.
In a statement to RIA, Kartapolov clarified that if the F-16s “are not used for their intended purpose” or are simply held in storage at foreign airbases with the intent to transfer them to Ukraine, where they will be equipped, maintained, and flown from Ukrainian airfields, then Russia would have no claims against its “former partners” and would not target them.

Western hegemony is over
Russia intends to fight for a “new polycentric world,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said at SPIEF.
Speaking at a panel discussion on new norms of international relations at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Zakharova slammed Western governments for resisting the structural changes which have already started with regard to the self-organization of nations and their interactions with other states.
“We are talking about polycentrism, a departure from previous norms, and we see the desperate resistance of the Collective West... They see the norm differently – as their own dominance, as a world order based on one rule – that they must dominate as before, and everyone must do only what the dominant allows them to do,” she stated, adding that the drive for dominance has only ever “led humanity to monstrous tragedies,” including colonialism and Nazism.

About the alleged first defeat of the Su-57 fighter jet in the Astrakhan region.
The 🔺GUR of Ukraine claims that the defeat of the fighter jet took place on June 8, 2024 at the Akhtubinsk airfield.
What are we talking about?
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian side has been citing alleged satellite images of the airplane's parking lot at the airfield. These images show that on June 7, the fifth-generation fighter jet stands on the runway without damage, and the next day craters from an explosion and characteristic burning stains appeared near it, probably from the arrival of a drone.
What data is available for analysis?
The distance from the possible launch site to the airfield in Akhtubinsk is 646 kilometers. Given that a range of 1,000 km is not a problem for modern drones, this is a realistic version.
Shortly before the reported attack on Akhtubinsk, there was an attempt to hit the airfield in Mozdok. It is highly probable that these events are connected.
How could the Su-57 have ended up in Akhtubinsk? The 929th State Flight Test Center named after V.P. Chkalov is located there. While still a prototype under the T-50 index, the fifth-generation fighter was tested there. It is not known how many machines are there, but most likely we are talking about either prototypes being tested or mock-ups for equipment development.
What's the bottom line?
The airfield site in Akhtubinsk is declared by the Ukrainian side as a military airfield, but in fact, the Chkalov Flight Center is more of a research facility. It is not known about the performance of regular combat sorties from its territory, but this does not mean that they did not take place.
If the Su-57 hit had been a strike against formation fighters, the satellite images would probably show a group of machines and ground-based airfield equipment. The photos provided by the GSD clearly show only one vehicle and some equipment, the origin of which is unclear.
Apparently, the test site is perceived by the Ukrainian side as a suitable object for a media strike (with no consequences on the battlefield), and the defense of such a facility should be approached in the same way as conventional military airfields: hangars, electronic warfare complexes and mobile firing groups.

NATO ‘crossed red line’ – Austria
Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner has criticized Western states for allowing Kiev to use their weapons to strike Russia.
Several NATO members have openly supported the use of Western-produced armaments for cross-border strikes against Russia in recent weeks, ostensibly in a limited manner. The West insists that it is still not a party to the conflict, and only supports Kiev’s efforts to stall Russia’s push into Kharkov Region, which Moscow launched to move the line of contact away from the border to prevent further Ukrainian attacks on Russian civilians.
“A red line has been crossed,” Tanner said when asked about the US, France, and Germany granting permission to use their weapons in cross-border strikes. When the interviewer asked how else Kiev could stall the Kharkov operation, the Austrian Defense Minister replied that “as a militarily neutral state, it is not our place to judge.”

Former US presidential contender says Washington seeks regime change in Russia
A concern shared by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk.
"Listen carefully to Biden & the bipartisan warmonger caucus on Ukraine. It’s no longer just about ‘defending’ Ukraine. These lunatics are starting to sound like they want full-on offense on Russia. It’s lunacy," Ramaswamy wrote on the X social network. "The reason they never stated the war aim in Ukraine is they wanted the flexibility to move the goalpost. They’re going for what they’ve wanted all along: regime change in Russia (without thinking twice about the consequences)."
Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with heads of international news agencies organized by TASS that the peace treaty between Russia and Ukraine in 2022 was thwarted by those who wanted to achieve their foreign policy goals in Russia's direction, namely the destruction and strategic defeat of the country.

US government’s verbal assaults on Russia expose Washington’s despair — diplomat
The United States "does not want to recognize the growing role of countries seeking independence from the West," Anatoly Antonov said.
Commenting on the latest anti-Russian statements made by US administration officials during celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Allied landing in Normandy, the ambassador said in a statement, posted on Telegram: "Russia always remembers and will remember the tragic history of World War II. We will not forget the millions of soldiers and ordinary people from different countries who gave their lives in the fight against the machine of death and xenophobia."
"We never failed to recognize the significant role of the allies in the anti-Hitler coalition, who helped the Red Army crush the Nazi vermin, that almost subjugated Europe. A humble tribute to the veterans - including those who, despite their advanced age, were able to attend the celebrations in France."
