Foreign businessmen want to continue working in Russia, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with the RBC news outlet on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"Foreign businessmen that continue working in our markets are present here [at SPIEF], and this is very important," Peskov said. They try "not to give interview for understandable reasons," he noted.
"They have concerns as regards rampant pressure on the part of their governments. But they are here and are full of plans to work here," the Kremlin spokesman added.

More than 980 agreements totaling 6.4 trillion rubles ($71.87 bln) were concluded at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Advisor to the Russian President, Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.
"982 agreements were signed for a total of 6.43 trillion rubles. This includes only what is not considered a commercial secret," he said at a briefing following the forum.
More than 21,000 participants from 139 countries participated in the events of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Advisor to the Russian President, Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was attacked by a man, who has since been arrested, in the capital city of Copenhagen on Friday, her office said in a statement to CNN.
“Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was hit by a man Friday evening on Kultorvet [public square] in Copenhagen. The man was subsequently arrested,” the prime minister’s office said.
It added that Frederiksen “is shocked by the incident” and there was no further comment. It is unclear if the prime minister was hurt in the assault.
Danish Minister of Environment Magnus Heunicke called for national unity after the attack, saying everyone has a responsibility to look after each other regardless of “political disagreements, election campaigns.”
“Something like this must not happen in our beautiful, safe and free country,” he said on X. “This is ugly and unacceptable. Let’s show that Denmark is much better.”
European politicians expressed shock in the aftermath of the attack.

Putin worked as an intelligence officer in the Soviet Union’s spy network from 1975 to 1991, with postings in his hometown of St. Petersburg and the former East Germany before he retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel — making it highly unlikely Biden was aware of the future US adversary’s existence as early as he claimed.
“Until he was handpicked in August [1999] by then-President Boris Yeltsin to become prime minister, Putin had never been a public figure,” the Washington Post reported in January 2000.
