🇫🇷🔥 The mayor of a Paris suburb has described an incident that occurred early Sunday morning as "an attempt on my family's life," amidst ongoing unrest in the country.
According to Vincent Jeanbrun, the mayor of L'Haÿ-les-Roses, a commune located in the southern suburbs of Paris, the incident took place at around 1:30 a.m. when he was present at the city hall for the third consecutive night. Jeanbrun stated that unidentified individuals intentionally crashed their car into his residence before setting it ablaze, while his wife and two young children were inside, asleep.
"In an effort to protect the children and escape the assailants, both my wife and one of my children sustained injuries," Jeanbrun explained in a statement.
