Let's continue, the next item on the list is the motherboard.
Motherboard:
In the motherboard we usually look at the ram slots and its maximum capacity and memory, the maximum length of the GPU and the number of GPU that can be added, the type of the CPU socket found, the maximum storage the board can handle either mechanical disks or the SSD or both, number of PCI, ports. But main aspects to consider is the architecture x86 or x64, the CPU socket, power consumption, port sizes and also the size of the motherboard. The size would affect the case which you want thus, choose carefully. My advice is start with the motherboard then add the compatible components, work will be easier.
Ports and pins should much or you may end up spending more on buying other connectors. So don't just buy everything from the shelf. If everything is compatible, your PC will be a beast. Thus the motherboard is the best and neutral start point if you are building a PC.

GPU:
When it comes to the GPU, the memory capacity, number of cores and also the PCI ports will be considered, wouldn't be saying between NIVIDIA or ADM that is usually for personal preference. Some GPU have an extra pin port for power supply but not all GPU. So the higher the GPU memory number of cores and speed, the better your graphics but points to consider are the length of the GPU since it may b to long for your casing and motherboard, or the PCI slot is shorter than expected or its not compatible with your CPU but AMD GPUs are usually compatible with ADM CPUs.
RAM:
Here you usually look a the number of slots in the motherboard and the max memory that your CPU can handle. Look for DDR rams, better performance. The frequency of the ram should be compared with the max frequency of the motherboard.
PSU and COOLING SYSTEM:
Cooling system is just straight forward, most CPU come with a cooling fan in addition to the casing fan, but to get more out of your CPU especially if you deal with intensive projects, a liquid cooling system can help, but one can't use any casing, buy a casing that allows room for the pipes.
The PSU (power supply unit) this is straight forward, just calculate the amount of power all your components including the PSU then buy a PSU that can handle all that power. Also should have extra pins incase your GPU need power from the PSU and also from the motherboard.
