But Gandhi’s non-violence didn’t just hang with the demise of his k!ller Godse but also through unleashing politically motivated “VIOLENT” massacre of Brahmins of Maharashtra.
Vinayak Godse belonged to the Chitpavan Brahmin caste. British used to call them the most dangerous caste in India; in jest, they abbreviated the caste's alternative name Konkanasth Brahmins as KoBra.
What Godse did, gave excuse to anti Hindu political party & anti brahmins to seek revenge from RSS, Hindu Mahasabha & most of all the chitpavan Brahmins - a major incident in the course of Mohandas’s death that goes unusually missing from our historical psyche.
Newspapers like New York Times very cunningly made sure to mention the religion of the assassin of Mohandas as a Hindu, which paved the way for future generations to tarnish the entire religion.
New York Times mentions the number of mortal victims on the first day of the jeno-side to be 15 while locals in pune reported death toll to be 50. This was just the beginning.
