Firstly, businesses should be responsible because they can improve their reputation by building trust. When trusted, a business can sell its products to the same customer over and over because of a positive image and long-term use. A sustainable business normally uses appropriate descriptions for its products and presents them in a fair and realistic way, which will make them desirable for people who need these goods. In comparison, a business that is not responsible cannot be trusted and may go bankrupt sooner than its competition. In fact, any controversy in how business is done can lead to major issues and failure, especially in the world of social media where people are quick to complain about companies that do not consider the issues of society.
Secondly, environmental conditions around the world are worsening. Currently, there are too many ecological problems, such as air and water pollution as well as climate change. Thus, when companies understand this and work in an eco-friendly way, they can help the nature and result in fewer dangerous emissions. In addition, there is too much waste now, which is why supermarkets, for example, can use reusable bags instead of those that can only be used once. Such businesses can help nature and have good reputation for a long time. If they do not consider the importance of ecological issues, they may be “cancelled” by people in social media who will inevitably criticize such companies.
One more argument to prioritize social responsibility is cultural diversity nowadays. In terms of food, for example, people from different cultures may have different needs. In fact, they may not be able to consume certain food and look for alternatives. Halal food, for instance, has become a common type of food worldwide because Muslim customers are likely to shop for such food in large supermarkets. If a particular supermarket does not sell halal food, they may lose a customer and be not appreciated enough in a cosmopolitan community.
In conclusion, I believe it is positive if a business is truly responsible to society. Focusing on building solid reputation and helping nature can assist the business in growth. If they fail in showing social responsibility, they are likely to suffer in terms of business growth. Culturally, social responsibility is significant as well since considering needs of different people can help retain more clients and strengthen reputation in dynamic environments.

The four criteria are:
🖱️ Task Achievement (Task 1) / Task Response (Task 2): How fully and directly the question is answered. Whether all requirements are covered, with a clear position and well-developed ideas.
🖱️ Coherence and Cohesion: How logically ideas are organized and connected. Use of paragraphs, linking words, and overall flow of the essay.
🖱️ Lexical Resource: The range, accuracy, and appropriacy of vocabulary. Ability to use topic-related language and avoid repetition.
🖱️ Grammatical Range and Accuracy: The variety of sentence structures (simple, complex, compound). The correctness of grammar, punctuation, and sentence formation.
Example of a Score Breakdown ‼️
If a student gets 8/7/8/7, this means:
Task Response = 8
Coherence & Cohesion = 7
Vocabulary = 8
Grammar = 7
→ Final score = 7.5 (average of the four).
If the score is 7/7/7/7, this means the candidate performed equally across all criteria.
→ Final score = 7.0.
However, writing scores can be rounded down when one of the criteria is lower than the rest. For example, 8/8/8/7 is 7.5 and 6/7/7/7 is 6.5. Remember this please.

Q: Is it easy to identify children’s talent?
I actually believe it is quite challenging, because children’s preferences may change and they don’t always want to show their talent. That’s why scouting has become such a lucrative job now. A truly talented scout is someone who is professionally trained to see talent and to find it. So I believe it is quite a challenging occupation.
It is difficult to ignore the so-called innate ability in children and teenagers, right? But together with the ability people would consider inborn, there should also be dedication and discipline. That is a good mix. We know kids and teenagers who were really good when they were young, but they never became professional athletes because they didn’t want to do the hard work. And that explains why there are so few top athletes.
Well, the world-class athletes are the ones who sacrificed a lot on the journey. That’s why there are only—let’s say—maybe 100, maybe 200 truly world-class athletes right now. They are the ones who are exceptional and disciplined. They always follow a strict diet, they take care of themselves, they reinvest a lot of money in their training, and that requires a lot of effort. Those at Band 6 level often make spelling and spacing mistakes, choose overly casual vocabulary, "mention" ideas rather than explain them and give shorter introductions and conclusions.
The second essay shows you all important corrections that turn the essay into a more refined piece of work. This was done without AI, during the offline class. Score breakdowns you see are very close to reality.

Smoking is a significant cause of different sicknesses and even death around the world. For the benefit of the public, government has to ban cigarettes and other products made from tobacco. Although this can limit people’s freedom, I believe it can help their health and extend their life longevity. Passive smoking is also a major concern since it impacts the health of those who do not smoke at all.
There are many unhealthy habits among people, and smoking is a common one. In fact, over a billion people smoke every day. However, it is often the habit that is criticized more frequently. People who smoke could be offended because if smoking is banned then, logically, other habits should be banned, too. Thus, government banning the habit of smoking means only a part of the population is monitored in terms of health and daily habits. This may seem unfair, which is why many countries still did not prohibit smoking totally.
Nevertheless, smoking is particularly dangerous to health in many ways. One detrimental outcome of smoking is that it compromises people’s stamina, which means they cannot perform physical tasks as efficiently as those who do not smoke. Another risk is that it can result in serious disease like lung cancer, which can lead to premature death, making their life shorter than the expected average. Therefore, due to such repercussions, smoking should be prohibited to increase smokers’ life expectancy and quality of life.
An additional argument in favor of a tobacco ban is the nature of smoking, especially publicly. It is one of those habits that does not only endanger the person who is addicted but those around them as well. In fact, secondhand smoking is as dangerous if not more dangerous than active smoking. This is particularly essential when the well being of children is concerned, considering that many smokers prefer to smoke outside, often in areas close to parks and schools. For this reason, smoking should be treated differently than, say, drinking soft beverages or eating fast food.
In conclusion, it is true that smokers’ freedom can be restricted if smoking is banned. It is, however, crucial for their health, as it can aid them in living healthier and longer. Most importantly, it can prevent health issues among those who can potentially suffer from involuntary smoking.

The difference between a Band 6.5 and a Band 7+ essay often seems massive, but once you analyze the actual differences, closing the gap feels much more achievable.
These two essays were written for the same essay question during my morning offline class today. I intentionally included common mistakes in the first draft and then edited it to show exactly what needs to change to reach a solid 7+.
If you feel stuck at a 6.5, this comparison clearly shows the path forward.
