Take a look at this ‘room’
Imagine you are cleaning this room. How would you organize these things?
What would you put inside the first, second and third boxes?
1). Sleep on something - delay/postpone your decision, usually used with important decisions
Example: Yesterday I was offered a job at a very prestigious company, currently I'm sleeping on it.
2). Recall - to remember something , usually used in association with memory
3). REM sleep - rapid eye movement sleep, deep sleep
4). An array - a range/variety
5). Bizarre = very strange, unusual
6). Intermingle - to combine, to mix
7), Nonlinear - no stages, no order, no organization
8). Reshuffling - to mix
9). Retain - to keep
10). Ensuing morning - next morning
11). To stump - to be too hard/difficult
12). Make connections - create associations
13). Ideas - concepts
14). Trivial - unnecessary, unimportant
15). Rifle through - comb through, do a careful search among things
16). At play - it's actively involved
17). Impulse - when suddenly you want to do something/a sudden strong wish to do something
18). Dormant - inactive
19). Consolidate - to make something stronger
20). Rehearsal - a time when all the people involved in a play, dance, etc. practise in order to prepare for a performance (cambridge definition)
21). Distinguish - differentiate
22). To latch onto - you don't let something go
These are the list of new words from the passage:)

We’ll do a reading passage together. And I’ll explain a thing or two and then we’ll have Q and A.
Btw, I got 9.0 in reading ♾️ times 😂😂🤫🤫
If you are an experienced teacher/instructor, flexing on your reading and listening scores is downright embarrassing.
Getting 8.5/9.0 in reading and listening is the bare minimum.
On a related note, shall we do a reading passage together? 👀👀

While some of you are stupid, some of you guessed it right.
📦 1st box - clothes
📦 2nd box - toys
📦 3rd box - food
You do this because it makes sense. If you are a rational person(not stupid), you won’t mix food with clothes in the same box.
Writing task 1 is pretty much the same. You need to use a certain logic or principle to divide the information into different boxes - paragraphs.
#usefulSunday
In IELTS writing task 1, you need to organize your response LOGICALLY and use paragraphing skillfully to get 8.0+ in Coherence and cohesion.
But what do those fancy words mean? In the next couple of post, I’ll explain how you can divide information into paragraphs.
