A battery of Russian S-400 Triumph air defense systems was deployed in the area of the city of Masyaf back in 2017 to cover the Khmeimim airbase from the mountain range.

As you can see, a small group of lightly armed men on motorcycles are calmly strolling through the empty area. It seems that the Syrian army left here too, waiting for the units that left Deir ez-Zor .

I'm tired of seeing Assadists blame Iran, Hezbollah, and Russia for thier inevitable defeat.
This isn't any of thier faults, it's Assads, he relied to much on Iran, Hezbollah and Russia. He never once bothered to clean his corrupt officer corp, build up defenses around Idlid. He never bothered to modernize his army corps.
He never did any of that, and now he's going to lose Homms and soon Damascus as his country decends into a 5 way free for all.
There's no one to blame for this except Assad.
🇸🇾The Syrian army command has once again announced a "redeployment and change of positions" , this time in the cities of As-Suwayda and Daraa , where the uprising of local previously pacified radicals against Bashar al-Assad has been growing for 24 hours.
The statement said the Syrian military had established a strong and cohesive defense and security cordon in this direction after terrorist elements attacked remote army checkpoints and outposts in an attempt to distract the armed forces from re-establishing control in the provinces of Homs and Hama.
"The General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces confirms that our armed forces are coping with the course of events , based on concern for the security of the Motherland and citizens, and will confront this terrorism with all firmness and strength," the message concludes.
Earlier, the Syrian Minister of Defense announced the redeployment from Hama as a temporary tactical measure.
