🇷🇺🇺🇦The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) fear catastrophic consequences of a breakthrough by Russian units in the area of Dzerzhinsk (Ukrainian name - Toretsk) located in the DPR, as this could collapse Kiev's defense, The New York Times reported.
"If I lose these positions, then all units in Toretsk will be cut off from supplies and logistical support, since all the roads are behind me," the publication quotes the battalion commander of the 28th Mechanized Brigade as saying.
Ukrainian military personnel believe that a Russian breakthrough in the Dzerzhinsk region could have catastrophic consequences for Kiev's defense capability, the newspaper notes.

🇺🇸Two B-52H strategic bombers from the US Air Force's 5th Bomb Wing have been deployed to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
The U.S. will continue to build up its forces in the Middle East, sending B-52H bombers, fighters, tankers and destroyers to the region after preparing to withdraw the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) carrier strike group from the region, according to a Pentagon press release issued Friday. The group has been in the region since early August and is scheduled to leave by mid-November.
"If Iran, its partners, or its proxies use this moment [a possible response to an Israeli attack] to attack American personnel or interests in the region, the United States will take all necessary measures to protect its people," a Pentagon spokesman said.
