This is the big cliché: Americans think their country is so important and special that they don’t need to know about any other place on Earth. Most of them don’t have passports and couldn’t point to the North Pole on a map, etc.
The thing is... America is that important. It is futile for Europeans to be outraged over what is simply a fact. Given America’s prominence and power, it would be strange if its citizens did not have a certain amount of arrogance about their country.

The consolation for Americans is that today’s Europeans are, themselves, almost as culturally degraded, because we are almost as deracinated. (On this and other points, we Europeans kid ourselves, and we take out the resulting frustration on you poor Americans.) The truth is modernity has done a number on us all - but I maintain that America has been the epicentre.

I don’t think Ofcom will try to either ban X or persuade it to withdraw from Britain. With platforms like this, which are “too big to fell”, more precise tactics will be used. I can imagine Ofcom launching a hundred tiny demands at once, each to deplatform a specific figure. X will then be in the position of having to deal with so many cases, knowing that another hundred will shortly follow and that the British government has infinite time and money to plough into oppressing its citizens.

Should we Europeans be grateful, really, when America became the superpower after that war, while our countries were left in ruins and dominated by America, which proceeded to encourage and facilitate mass immigration into our countries to replace us? No doubt Americans are brought up to believe that it was all charity and goodness, a sign of what a benign country America is. Perhaps, just as Europeans need to grow up and put away childish delusions, so do Americans.

One of the judges handling my case (for which I am going to be given a prison sentence on the 16th of May) literally liked a tweet in which I am called "a disgusting fascist" and another tweet in which was said that if you want to be a successful leftist activist, you need to wear a toga (judicial gown), not a Ché Guevara T-shirt.
When this was brought to light the court decided it was a "personal political opinion of the judge that has no concrete or provable effect on the way my prosecution was handled". Which, again, is provably wrong, because the judge herself admitted that she is only looking for information "à charge" and not "à décharge" (= in my defence) AND because the judge deliberately and illegally ignored criminal acts committed by public television VRT when they were searching for dirt on me (they hacked a minor that was a member of a private chatgroup I was in).
If you think this is crazy, mind you that this is only a minor detail in seven years of judicial terror that has been inflicted upon me.
Oh and this judge's husband works for the VRT, the state propaganda services that committed the criminal acts and made the hitpiece on me that started this whole judicial terror. This completely made-up hitpiece serves as THE ONLY 'evidence' against me.
Their lies and treachery are going to come to an end. They may try to imprison me, but I'm not going to give up. I'm going to win.

I did not like Mrs Morton. She was a very conservative, serious, prim, proper, strict, clinical and humourless woman, prickly, easy to annoy, hard to please, and merciless in her rebukes.
