Is Buffy mentioned in “Twilight”?
Hi! So apologies in advance, I would have just checked the transcript but I don’t think there’s one for this video yet.
I started watching the video for “Twilight” and stopped a couple of minutes in because one of my good friends was really into the series as a teen and I think it would be fun to watch it together. However, we’re currently in the middle of watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which she’s never seen before. I was wondering if there are any references to Buffy/Angel or clips used that could potentially be spoilers?
I’m thinking not because I haven’t been able to find any discussions about it, but just wanted to make sure since it doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibly that Buffy could be used as a point of comparison.

This is random but i played Village recently and the algorithm gave me Natalie’s live streams of it from a couple years ago. But the last stream I can find of her playing Resident Evil Village is the MILF Is a Slur stream. The "omnicause"
This is a new term for me. As best I can tell, it appears to have been created by pro-Israel liberal columnists to complain about the inclusion of Palestinian rights in other progressive movements like Pride and climate change.
I find this worrying because it reminds me of how gamergate broke the brains of a lot of people in the progressive/atheist space of that era and turned them into right-wing reactionaries. There is a strong possibility that people who have passive support for progressive causes, but feel strongly about Israel, will gradually turn against those causes because of their association with justice for Palestinians.
Obviously that doesn't mean that progressives should condone an ongoing genocide or abandon intersectionality. I have a lot of thoughts about what we could do about this but I have not organized them. Has anyone else noticed this?
