I'm looking for a quote that Natalie cites. It's a quote from a feminist theorist who says they're attracted to 6'6 men, or tall men, or something like that.
I remember it being in either the Twilight video (I'm pretty sure the quote was in the Twilight video style where it was in a pink box with white letters) or the Male gaze tangent, but I've looked through both and I can't find it. Hopefully you guys know what I'm talking about

Well, not usually. But I've been in a bad state and been coping by being online which is self defeating of course. Do any of you know which video Natalie said, "I identify as a piece of shit"? Because I remember seeing the smile on her face when she said it, which gave me joy, and I also found a lot of that video useful for myself.

I was watching her last AMA livestream on the patreon when Natalie mentioned that her next video was going to be something related to Elon Musk and the rise of hate speech on X/Twitter. Is there seriously no bibliographies?
I went to refresh myself on one of the citations in Twilight, so I hopped to the video description and found:
* 2 links to donations
* 5 links to social media
* 10 links to different videos on the channel
* Timecode stamps for chapters in the video
* ...That's it. No written citations.
This seemed odd for a channel that presents itself as rather academic and is basically a professional production at this point. I wanted to see how off-base this was and checked a big range of different channels, everyone from Münecat to Andrewism to John The Duncan to Some More News to Yhara zayd to goddamn Jenny Nickleson. Nearly *every single one* of them had written citations or a link to a bibliography in their video descriptions.
To make sure it wasn't a one-off I checked a few other Contrapoints videos going back 3 years and same thing: links to donations, links to socials, links to other videos, timecodes, no written citations. It's hard not to view the apparent priorities in a really cynical manner. Maybe the citations are on one of those social media feeds but I couldn't find them from the video unless I scrolled through 3 hours of content again.
It's such a bizarre thing to miss given the scale and prestige of the channel while even smaller, looser video essayists are covering their bases.

I use ContraPoints as a litmus test
I mainly used it on other trans people and LGBT people.
I will not name names but I find that people who hate Contra are just terrible people and have a fucked up character. I know this sounds extreme but there is a radical difference between a person who doesn't like video essays and an active contra hater
These people are either right or left but they tend to be unempathetic and have an inability to listen to others. They have a black and white mentality, that is either my way or the highway. They tend to project on to others and use words like narcissist a lot. They usually demand positions of powers but aren't willing to sit down and do the work because to them the only work that matters is tweeting
If they're content creators they are always grifting and usually want fame without developing talent or work. To me it seems that they always want a promo from ContraPoints but never really created anything good to show. For example it's always trans cringe compilations or going on about how much they hate non passers.
What I learned that they hate trans people who have a backbone because them themselves don't have one. I for one will not take transphobia from cis people so why should I take it from a trans person

Contra points on “Power”?
I’d really like Natalie to do a video about power. I’ve been fascinated by the book ‘the 48 laws of power’ (I’m aware that this book is controversial and seen as manipulative and amoral) and in that a lot of things made sense to me. I mean I can see several successful people in my life who do exactly as that book intuitively and are extremely rich and powerful. Would love Nat’s perspective on power in general and her theory on how to gain and retain power in this world.
