Adding kitchen cabinet doors to a kallax
Have any of you done this before? I have the 4x4 kallax, which is 30 1/8 x 30 1/8. I want to add two doors to it. There are a couple of kitchen cabinet doors that are 15 x 30. That seems pretty perfect, right? Is there a reason I shouldn't try this that I'm not thinking of?

I have this 12'8" (151") long space with 7' (84") ceilings in my den. I'd like to put tall pantry like storage with doors. What systems would work best? Thanks!

Whats the best hack approach for this room?
Hi, My current bed situation in my room isn't long for this world, (Its a SVÄRTA with its desk with a bending frame), and I'd love some thoughts/advice on my current ideas.
I want to upgrade to a double bed as a single is too small for me, but due to the incredibly limited space, efficiency is key to making that work. My main ideas are to replace the current loft bed with the STORA loft bed or construct a KALLAX platform bed. (Example)
They both have their issues in the space, though, \~1/3 of the KALLAX's added storage wouldn't be easily accessible at all, and lowering the footprint of the room's bed back to the ground (instead of above the desk) would push the desk further towards the wardrobe
The STORA would also probably need to be shortened by 10-20cm as the ceiling is 250cm and the bed says it requires 270cm.
Cost is another factor, in my currency, the Loft would be $800 and the KALLAX's new would be $270, but can also be easily found cheaper second-hand
The fake room's dimensions are mostly accurate, except that the two windows are really just one irl and the actual wardrobe is 50cm deep (8cm shallower than the newer one in the online model)
Any advice you could give on making the platform bed or better ideas/opnions on the layout would be highly appreciated.

Question on Billy bookcase built in hacks
I've got a pair of Billy bookcases with oxberg doors and I'm preparing to do a small typical built in you've all seen 100x.
I'm planning to do what a lot of people did and that's built a 2x4 + plywood base to seat the bookcases on top of for stability. This should take it up to just about the height of the ceiling and presumably make the top easy to enclose.
My question here is on the dimensions of the 2x4 base platform. Do I want that base to be the exact depth of the bottom of the Billy's? Or do I want it longer or shorter to accommodate trim etc? Ive watched a number of tutorials and I feel like I haven't gotten a consistent answer. Any help is appreciated.

Sektion push close
Bought some sektion cabinets and realized they didnt come with push open function which I was looking for. Do I need to return to Ikea and buy another hinge set or can I just buy a push open kit at a local Home Depot down the street?
Tried looking it up and everyone says to get the IKEA ones but then would have to uninstall the current ones and return to the store thats over an hour away...

Are these tempered? Shower friendly? I want to put them in my shower in a 2x3 space (pictured) because I can't find a tempered mirror in the right size ANYWHERE. The instructions and safety info say they're tested and approved for bathroom use but don't use the word tempered.

ALEX Full Extension Drawers
I know this has been asked in the past, but are there actual replacement slides that are drop in compatible, strong, and soft close? I know there are various options such as routing out a groove in the existing drawer sides, or 3D printing replacements but was curious if there are nicer slides available.

KLEPPSTAD hight hack?
Hey i just got a couple of smaller Kleppstad wardrobes for extra storage, and they are quite short. Have you found any cabinets or similar that can sit on top to help me maximize the space on top??
the only one i found that could fit is the deeper version of the IVAR but i think the wooden look would clash with the white wardrobe.
I am also interested in seeing how you organized your Kleppstad inside, which accessories you recommend and which are not worth it. I am mostly looking to store my vacuum cleaner, and some extra jackets.

Applying a top coat on paper foil/laminate?
I'm using an Ikea wardrobe door as my desk top (not ideal but it's the exact size I need). But the paper foil or laminate coatings are really lousy for such a high-use area. Moisture gets into any dings to the surface and makes the particleboard expand.
Has anyone had any succes straight up top coating any of the laminate/paper foil surfaces? I'm not planning on giving it a coat of paint, I just want to make the existing surface more hardy and water resistant :(
I've only seen people talk about using polycrylic/polyurethane top coats after painting but never on the bare laminate before.
