To those who think they’ve got a shitty job..
Your job does not reflect your success.
At the end of the day, most of us just want to be happy. The path we take to get there doesn’t matter, as long as it doesn’t harm anyone else.
You decide what you perceive as success and if that is happiness and you like your job, you are successful.
Some people see success as a high-paying career or status and that’s fine for them. But the worst thing you can do is constantly compare yourself to others. That mindset often leads to disappointment.
If you’re working just to get by but you’re content with the simple things like good meals, laughter, family, and friends. Then you’ve already won, just in a different way. There’s nothing wrong with that.
Success isn’t about luxury or impressing people, it’s about waking up each day knowing you’re exactly where you need to be, knowing you’ve built a life that makes you genuinely happy, on your own terms.

New Hire gets more pay
Context: I have been in Company A for almost 5 years. Recently, my team hired a person who worked in Company B for almost the same amount of years as me in Company A (probably same batch of graduates as me)
Why tf does he get a higher salary than me? He has the same years of experience as me. I would say my years of experience are more valuable since mine are super relevant to the work but his is just related similar core skills. My motherfucker ass have to teach him everything knowing he has a higher salary than me while doing the same work as me but with less experience. Since he would need to refer to me for most issues, shouldn't I get more since my work now includes guide new hires?
Yes, I am salty af. And it doesn't help that i check my compa-ratio and its barely 70%. Thinking of giving it until year end increment and if it is not satisfying, I am gonna call a meeting with my boss and dip.

Is it normal to always hug your mom?
I'm male, 21,. Since PKP 2020 when i was 16 years old my mom got traumatic when she got CoVID. Even after recovering from it, she always stressed out to the point of not eating . Like it affect her psychologically about a year. Since then, i always hug my mom whenever i get the chance. At first she was irritated but now its like an everyday thing. In one day, i at least hugged her once. But now that i think about it, im 21, like is it appropriate for me to act this way? I've been doing this for 5 years now 😭

Why girls waited for guys to make a move?
I'm watching The Rookie on Netflix and in one of the scene. The guy died and passed a message to one of the police officer to tell the girl he likes that he loves her. Then the police officer passed it to the girl and the girl cried then said she always wanted for him to ask her out but he never did...and I'm screaming at the screen like "then why didn't you asskkkk him out!!"??
And a lot of my female friends also like this. Nak tunggu lelaki tu mati baru nak menyesal? I mean dua² lah, both kena try and ask other's out and don't waot.

Why do some migrant workers have that smell?
Not trying to be offensive or disrespectful, just something I’ve noticed regularly, especially during peak hours on MRT/LRT. The smell is quite strong (like a very peppery armpit x10?) Is it diet, lifestyle, or something else? Would appreciate any insight, just trying to understand.

Why some people cannot understand that wanting privacy doesn't mean we are doing something illegal ?
There are few people I know wish Malaysia would follow UK in require ID in all internet services, saying it can help "protect" the children from porn. And these internet services should provide the ID to PDRM at all time so it will make PDRM do investigation faster.
And say we should even allow PDRM to access our email and cloud storage without warrant, incase we store porn there.
And if we oppose of this, that means we are doing something bad where we don't want PDRM to know what we are "hiding".
The issue is we can have privacy doesn't mean we are doing something illegal. For example, I could have my business plan in my phone storage and I don't want PDRM to see it without warrant. Reason ? If I let my PDRM knows about it, what stopping PDRM from leaking and selling my business plan to my competitor ?
Another issue is we know certain powerful people are super "sensitive". For example, a powerful person decided to build his new bungalow by reclaiming the sea with land which destroys important corals. Then I post an article on FB/YT, etc about the benefits of corals. Then using the ID database, PDRM can anytime come to my house and arrest me for sedition even I didn't mention about anything about the powerful person and caring for corals is not a crime.
If there is no ID requirement, image PDRM request interpol to help track me for the sole reason I cared about corals. Interpol will straight laugh at PDRM.

Oh, Malaysia. How much I trusted you.
For context, I'm a foreigner living in Malaysia. I've been here for a couple of years now. Living in Terengganu state to be precise.
My first time coming to Malaysia was the closest encounter I ever got to staying with Muslims. I tried my best to not be disrespectful to anyone since I was practically the only nons around.
I learnt about some haram behaviors like boys touching girls, alcohol and pork. I don't drink alcohol so I didn't have a problem with that. But being a guy whose childhood was filled with mostly female friends, it was a bit hard but I pulled it off. I avoided girls like the plague.
I didn't even want to accidentally brush off someone's skin and being called a perv for it. I try to take good care of my image. I managed to keep that up for a couple of years while believing that other boys were the same. Didn't go near girls and touching was extremely frowned upon.
Until... I started to meet the "real" Malay dudes. They drink, go clubbing, even managed to meet a couple of gay dudes. They constantly talked about sxual topics and even strangers would walk up to me and ask me if I have experience and ask me how much I'm packing downstairs. It was rather strange to me as I knew this was an extremely conservative country (state especially).
My perspective of the conservatism shifted after I learnt that most of the people around me (male and female) especially those who look and play innocent are actually quite experienced in the act. I was "wowed". And then while browsing socmed, I found out that a lot of girls here are into "online content creation" and the boys especially watch corn like there's no tomorrow. Despite all those being banned here (allegedly).
I was hoping to leave behind my pervy lifestyle but those I have around me don't make it any easy. Thanks for reading. 🫡
