What's the most melancholy game you've ever played?
For me it's maybe the Last of Us Part 2, but maybe melancholy is too soft a word for that specific game.

I always wondered why microsoft didn't try to turn xbox into their own version of a "steam machine", basically a pre built pc but with windows
Let me explain what I mean, does anyone remember the steam machine? you know valves attempt to break into the console market that ultimately failed for a few reasons. One was because it was linux based, second reason is because valve themselves didn't make the consoles, they had 3rd parties develop the machines which created such a huge imbalance of not only capability of a machine but the prices of one machine vs another.
In short it a was a mess, and I remember back then I was thinking this similar thought that I am thinking now, "why doesn't xbox just turn the xbox into their own version of the steam machine but better?" Think about it, Microsoft owns windows which is the primary platform for gaming on pc, they could easily build a formfactor pc, shove windows on it, improve the dang xbox app on the pc, improve the windows store, borrow some of the things they implemented on xbox and put it on windows and build a device around that. The controller already works perfectly on the pc too so you don't have to worry about comfortability if you don't want to sit in a chair using mouse and keyboard.
Steam machines came out in 2014 and since then microsoft has been making decisions like gamepass for pc, putting their games on pc, they have the surface tablets, cloud gaming, I know it failed but they had windows phone at some point, but yet xbox has always been a separate entity from windows and it started making less and less sense to me when they started making some of the moves they have been.
They should really turn into I don't want to say pre built pc company but kind of sort of what i'm trying to say. That is what i've thought for years now that xbox should become. heck they could even keep the xbox name if they want to for these devices. Sure there may be some negatives with that decision but I see more positives, especially when it comes to modding games, heck you could even make them upgradable. Might also be easier on game devs as well and I'm talking as someone that uses unreal engine and its a pain to make projecst for console and then pc. But yeah this is just my idea, especially with all this other news going around, it just has me thinking.
Edit: this wouldn't be a device, built around steam but windows. heck it may force them to finally update and improve the windows store

Am I “too sensitive” if I get upset whenever my IRL friends grief me?
Anytime we play a new game or there is team killing enabled, I am always a target for my friends whom I know in real life.
They’ll do stuff like votekick me right when we at the end of a match, shoot me for no reason, steal loot that I been asking for, or destroy a house I spent hours working on. They know it bothers me, and keep doing it. I never retaliate either cause I don’t really find it funny to ruin someone else’s fun, and yet they still do it.
They never do anything malicious to upset me IRL, and use the “it’s a game” excuse when I get upset over shit like this. Is this just part of the gaming experience?
