# FAQ
* This is a points-based event. The shop CE gives additional point income. You should buy it to advance the point ladder more easily.
* Event progression: Do event story -> farm free quests for points -> do more event story. Beat the raid finale (this exists even if you don't participate in the raid) -> do more event story -> do the extra quests.
* As is standard with events, if you aren't rolling gacha then you should only borrow gacha CEs from friends. You will overclear point ladder before you finish the event shop. However, if you are planning on farming raids, you don't have to borrow gacha CEs.
* This is also a raid event. The raid is timegated and limited time. If you miss it, you cannot farm it. You need 300k points to access the raid.
* The FP gacha is also extremely profitable. It reduces the amount of FP needed to Grail Cast from 564k to 490k. It also reduces the FP needed to 100 a CE from 2.705M (standard, no modifiers) to 1.434M (with CE exp in pool).
* Note that if you sit on 4\* CE EXP for super succ that number only goes down to 1.389M for 2x and 1.347M for 3x. It's not worth the effort, just make the CE bombs immediately.
* Basically if you have spare time you should be pulling all your FP on this event. Even though Mary Anning shows up in a month, the issue is that rolling FP during a lotto means less time spent farming lotto.

Overview:
* Kenshin has a lot of self buffs. Her special protection passive gets more and more effects as you progress through the fight. She also helps you out every break bar with some buffs (most noteworthy party buff removal resist 1 time).
Noteworthy mechanics:
* When she has Bishamonten's Protection she gets 400k damage cut. Every offensive NP strips 1 stack. If she has no stacks she regenerates 1 after 3 turns (including the turn she has 0). Every 4 NPs you hit her with she fully charges her NP gauge. Kenshin's NP removes buffs pre-damage so buff removal resist is very helpful.
Strategy:
* Use an ST avenger or berserker as the primary DPS. SErice and SCastoria are noteworthy. You may choose to use servants with easily accessible NPs to help remove additional stacks (Habetrot, Arash). Bazett is noteworthy for being able to remove multiple stacks in a turn (every counterattack removes 1 stack). Buff removal resist helps tank Kenshin's NPs, or bring taunters.
Example vids:
* [Bazett and Summer Castoria](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4w74tUyCKE), hyper Bazett isn't needed but you do need 3 counterattacks on enemy phase 2.
* [SErice regular clear video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krVKnPGrgNw)
* [SCastoria regular clear video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqUG9GJWmXE), yes they have multiple kscopes but it gives you an idea

Al!
Shielder - Big Mama
A relative of the infamous egg thief Oviraptor, Big Mama is an adult Citipati found in the Djadochta Formation of the Gobi Desert in Mongolia and China. Like Al and Sue, she met a tragic end - she was found with her skeleton spread atop her nest, trying in vain to protect her eggs from an incoming sandstorm.
As a result, Big Mama's "shield" is not a held shield, like Galahad or Mash, but rather her own body - she is a self-sacrificing Servant who will put her life on the line for her Master, especially if they're on the younger side. I imagine her Noble Phantasm would be the ability to completely protect her Master from lethal attacks as long as they hide under her.
Hey, where's Caster, Ruler, and Archer?
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any named dinosaur specimens that would fit these classes. Although we have inhuman Casters like Nursery, Mephisto and Maxwell's Demon, Casters qualify based on innate magical power, and I can't imagine a dinosaur knowing how to do that. Ruler, similarly, is based around a role that would most befit a human, considering they're all about negotiation and overseeing Grail Wars, which again, I can't see a dinosaur doing very well. Archer is the one I was disappointed the most by, as I was really hoping to find a named Dilophosaurus specimen so I could get away with a blatant Jurassic Park reference (in other words, Dilophosaurus would qualify for Archer only because people thought it could spit venom).
What do you folks think about an all-dinosaur Grail War? Which specific named dinosaurs (or prehistoric animals) do you think might make good Servants?
https://redd.it/1pav0a7
@r_grandorder
What if there was an all-dinosaur Grail War?
I'm a huge dinosaur nerd (I've made that no secret), so I've often wondered what if dinosaurs were Servants in Fate (Koyo technically doesn't count, as she's an oni taking the form of a dinosaur). I did draw an idea for an all-prehistoric animal Grail War a while ago, but they were representatives of the entire species instead of specific named specimens, and they were all gijinkas of the animals in question (as at the time I was under the impression that every Servant must look like a person), so in hindsight, it wasn't very good.
However, after consulting the Wikipedia page for specific named dinosaur specimens, I've now scraped together what I think could be legitimate contenders for an all-dinosaur Grail War.
To preface, we'll assume all dinosaurs appear either exactly as themselves or slightly exaggerated (due to the public perception of dinosaurs affecting them as Servants), not as gijinkas/Pseudo-Servants. After all, when we have Servants who are literally just animals like Lobo, (Last Encore Drama CD spoilers) >!Vanagandr/Fenrir!< and Bucephalus, and Rin said that even famous animals and objects can be Servants in FSN, I don't see why we couldn't have an entire animal Grail War, and it would be interesting to see as there's been nothing like it. I also imagine they would look different to how dinosaurs already look in media like FGO, since after all, Servants don't always resemble their original form in life.
Why would there be a dino Grail War to begin with? Well, seeing as how dinosaurs are from a more primal era, before the concept of pantheons, of heroes and villains, of saints and sinners, the participating mages might seek to tap into that primal power. After all, dinosaurs were just big, dumb walls of meat with nothing but destruction on the mind, so surely their lack of intelligence makes them easier to control than a human or humanoid Servant... right?
(This will totally not blow up in their face later on!)
Anyhow, enough yapping. Without further ado, here's my picks for the Primal Servants:
Saber - Roadkill
A Stegosaurus from the Jurassic-era Morrison Formation of the United States, Roadkill was notable for his skeleton being preserved in near-perfect detail, to the point it helped scientists solve the mystery of how Stegosaurus' plates were positioned on its back. Fun fact, Kenryu (剣竜), the Japanese name for Stegosaurus, can be literally translated as "Sword Dragon." While this refers to the plates on its back, I could also see it referring to its infamous thagomizer, its four-spiked tail that was often used to badly maim any Jurassic predator foolish enough to try preying upon it, so that's why I chose Roadkill for Saber.
Roadkill's Noble Phantasm is a dormant second brain in his hips (based on the common myth that Stegosaurus was such a moron that it needed a second brain to operate the back half of its body). Here, said brain is essentially an extra life - if Roadkill's main head suffers fatal damage, the second brain kicks in, able to operate the limbs and tail.
Lancer - Lane
A well-preserved, mummified fossil Triceratops from Wyoming, the United States, that included skin impressions and apparently even evidence of quills on the tail, similar to a porcupine. Considering Triceratops is one of the most iconic dinosaurs ever, not having one in this Grail War would be criminal.
Lane's Noble Phantasm involves him gradually growing into a Torosaurus over the course of days, based on the debated idea that Triceratops was simply a younger stage of the former. When fully mature, not only is he larger, but his horns are longer and his frill is taller, allowing him to more effectively utilize his head as a shield. Thanks to Lancer's natural unluck, his horns break easily (something that is known to happen from fossil evidence).
Rider - Urvogel
"Urvogel" is the German name for the dinosaur we know as Archaeopteryx, the supposed "first bird" and

Saika Magoichi: The First Korean Servant (With Enough Mental Gymnastics)
Disclaimer: This theory is mostly treated as a running joke in the KR fandom and not taken seriously.
Saika Magoichi is the closest thing to a Korean servant we've got in the Fate franchise. Allow me to walk through the mental gymnastics required to believe in this theory.
Saika Magoichi, like Fuuma Kotarou, is not a single person, but rather the title given to the leader of the Saika clan. Historically there have been 3~4 people who went by this title:
Suzuki Shigeoki
Suzuki Yoshikane, eldest son of Shigeoki, although this is sometimes disputed
Suzuki Shigehide, son of Shigeoki and the most famous Saika Magoichi
Suzuki Shigetomo, son/adopted son/younger brother of Shigehide depending on sources; note that by the time he took this title, the Saika clan had already fallen
Fate's "Hotaru" is said to be the third Saika Magoichi, which would make her identity Suzuki Shigehide (never mind the fact that Shigehide was definitely not a foreign-born child slave sold to Japan). The last known record of Shigehide is from 1585, when he, along with the rest of the Saika clan, surrendered to Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
Fast forward to 1592, and Japan invaded Korea in what is now known as the Imjin War. During the war, a Japanese general defected to Korea and was given the name Kim Chung-seon. Very little is known about his previous life in Japan, other than the fact that he went by the name Sayaga, which led some historians to believe that he may have been from the Saika clan (especially as Kim trained musket troops in Korea during his later years, which the Saika clan was known for), or even that he was Suzuki Shigehide himself. Kim Chung-seon died in 1642, which, if he was Shigehide, would put his age at over 90 years old.
Obviously it’s far more likely that Kim Chung-seon was just a regular Saika clan member, and that Hotaru is not based on any historical Saika Magoichi. Still, it's fun to think of her as the first Korean servant, so the KR fandom just rolled with it.

Reminder: NA Just Got Its' First 20% Bond Up Characteristic CE
While it might be a little much to call this a landmark occasion, it's still a little special because less than a couple of hours ago as of time of this writing "From NFF with Love" has become available for purchase from the Mana Prism shop.
This CE is the first of a series of ones which give the most substantial bond bonus currently possible based upon whether or not a Servant meets a characteristic check.
In the case of From NFF with Love the characteristic is [Beast Servants\] but as with some previous NA translations this is a bit vague, potentially misleading. The CE doesn't apply to only Servants that are current or former Beasts like Kama, Kiara, Draco, Tiamat, etc. A closer and more beneficial translation would be something along the lines of [Animal Trait Servants\].
Although it's not the largest list - currently encompassing 49 Servants in JP, with from what I can tell 38 Servants being currently available in NA - if you use any of these Servants on a regular basis and are still raising their bond levels then 20% is nothing to sneeze at.
A full list of the Servants that the trait applies to can be found here.
It is important to note that for some Servants at least, not all of their ascensions qualify. With this CE the general rule of thumb is that animal trait must be present on the character ascension currently being used. Take Scathach for example: none of her regular ascensions count but her Piercing Bunny costume does. Same with Berserker Paul Bunyan and her Mad Bunny outfit.
Another thing is that this is just the first in a line-up of CEs that will be released that check for a particular trait. There will be ones that check for "Living Human", "Lawful Good", blanket ones for Caster class and Rider class, Costume-Owning, Lawful and Female, and most recently Star Attribute or (not and) Evil Alignment.
These CEs will be some of the best ways to gain bond, so long as teams are built around them. Hell some Servants will be able to double or even triple dip; Vritra for example qualifies for this CE, for the Evil Alignment, and eventually for the Costume-Owning as well. So you can end up with some massive bond boosts depending on comps.

This could refer to any of the Archaeopteryx specimens, but for all intents and purposes, this one is specifically the iconic Berlin Specimen, found in, as the name would suggest, Germany (though not Berlin, that's just where the museum that currently owns it is), and is currently the most complete fossil specimen of the species.
What does Urvogel ride? Well, the Berlin Specimen rode across Germany as it traded hands several times, but importantly, not only does he ride the wind like his modern descendants to stay airborne, but since all birds contain traces of their dinosaur ancestry, Urvogel also rides the entire avian genus as a whole. That is the basis of his Noble Phantasm - tapping into the dinosaur lineage inherent to all birds, Urvogel can possess the body of any living bird, whether flying or flightless, and control it for himself. This is to compensate for the fact that ordinarily, he can only glide, not fly, and being such a small dinosaur, he wouldn't stand a chance against the other Servants.
Assassin - Dave
A well-preserved fossil of a tiny, feathered, raptor-like dinosaur from the Cretaceous-era Yixian Formation in China. There has been some debate over what species he is, but current consensus is that he is most likely a Sinornithosaurus. Judging from the size, he might've been just a kid in dinosaur years when he died.
Dave's Noble Phantasm is a venomous bite he uses on his opponents and prey. You see, it was once theorized Sinornithosaurus had a venomous bite like a snake, citing grooves in the jaws and spots in the skull where venom glands might've belonged in life, but today, this is considered unlikely.
Berserker - Sue
Sue is an interesting one because I've drawn her before, but there she was a Pseudo-Servant. Let's say for the sake of this continuity that she was summoned as herself, by which I mean as a literal T. rex.
Sue is perhaps one of the most complete Tyrannosaurus specimens in history, found in South Dakota, the United States, but there's more to her than just being well-preserved. While she lived to a fairly old age in dinosaur years, her body was plagued with parasites, which likely made her old age quite painful - and when she finally died, scientists determined her corpse was trampled underfoot by many a dinosaur - a tragic end to the Queen of the Dinosaurs.
Sue's Noble Phantasm is the ability to heal herself by scavenging dead creatures, based on the debate over whether Tyrannosaurus was a scavenger, active hunter, or both. In this hypothetical Fate continuity, the answer is both - Sue only eats carrion for the sake of her Noble Phantasm, but doesn't mind hunting and eating live animals recreationally as a Servant despite not needing to eat (after all, Servants who were royalty are usually the ones with the biggest appetites!).
Avenger - Big Al
If you grew up watching Walking With Dinosaurs, you probably recognize this guy, and indeed I drew him as a Servant once before, just like Sue. A teenage Allosaurus from the Jurassic-era Morrison Formation in the United States (just like his species rival Roadkill), Allosaurus is known to be the apex predator of its region, exemplified by its nickname "The Lion of the Jurassic," but Big Al suffered an early, undignified demise when a bad fall bruised his foot and gave him a raging infection that led to his death. It is likely his final days were full of sheer agony.
Big Al's Noble Phantasm is the ability to make the ground soft on a whim, causing his foes to sink and get stuck; a helpful ability in battle, considering his prominent limp limits his ability to move quickly. Before you ask, yes, that is in fact a reference to the mud pit of death from The Ballad of Big
Finally unlocked the raid and …. It s gone
