My raccs (2) rolypoly and footie are predictable. It gets above freezing, they come look for food and water. I spaced and didn’t do it and saw the disabled guy (Footie) working to get to the bird bath (there’s two steps up, nothing for a healthy racc) And leave when it was … well I didn’t know what it was until I went out. My husband had put out those stale buns and the raccs took some but the majority went to crows who threw it in the water then drank it down. I’ve been bed bound practically for two days. When I went out to fill the birdbath I was disgusted. I usually fill it daily. This time, There was just bread slime left. So I cleaned it, put in fresh water, got the corn and peanuts set up and I’m hoping he comes by again. My husband thinks his foot is broken. I’d rather him get this safe, easy food until he can walk better. I feel so awful. this is really going to bother me now. I’m just venting, I know this is stupid. Thank you for listening.

Seeking advice for nighttime buddies...
several nights a week i will have up to 5 raccoons chowing down on my deck. almost nightly lately, one will come over to me in my chair, walk around, get under another chair and poke his face at me.... behind plants and sneak around.... last week he nibbles on shoe.... He seems friendly enough, and is super cute... I want to interact with him more, but and cautious of getting my hand buzz sawed!!! None have ever been aggressive toward me. I give them cat toys to play with (really cute!!)
