Hi all, im looking into how to get a raccoon as a “pet” in scotland, id love to adopt and rehabilitate raccoons but i live in Scotland and raccoons are classed as an invasive species which makes it difficult. Im not getting much info about how i could go about being legally allowed to keep them, do yall know?

raccoons have been my favourite animal for a LONG time, my grandma is friends with someone who owns a little rescue sanctuary where she takes care of eagles, raccoons, all that sort of stuff and since they are friends my i’m getting taken to see some BABY RACCOONS!!!!! i’m gonna take some pics so if you want to see lemme know 🤭🤭 but btw i won’t have pics until 6 days so on the 29th. but i literally CANNOT WAIT.

When should I call animal control to get these two baby (teen?) raccoons under my carport.
These two raccoons have been huddled on my porch for at least four hours. I don't know if they are big enough to be on their own or not. They've not left after being investigated by a cat or a car pulling out. I'm worried if they try and leave during the day, my neighbors dog (who they let run loose all the time), will get them.

Is it safe to feed my cat from a bag of dried food that a raccoon ate from?
An expensive bag of science diet cat food was delivered to my porch. A raccoon porch pirate tore open the box and bag, helping himself to some kibble. Is it safe to feed this food to my cat? Could any deseases be transmitted through saliva?
