My Wife Was Bit By a Raccoon twice within a month, how rare is that?
So a few months ago, my wife was feeding a raccoon cat food out of her hand. The raccoon bit her (by accident). She went to the hospital, got 10 rabies shots in a circle around the puncture wound on her finger.
Roughly 2 weeks later; she props open our side door to smoke a cigarette. Completely unsuspecting; a raccoon comes up and bites her big toe. She goes back to the hospital, but they said she was OK because the vaccine lasts long enough.
I have never in my entire life (nor has she) ever met someone who’s been bit by a raccoon.
I’m just wondering. How rare is that? To be bit by a raccoon twice within a 30 day period?
I understand if you had tried to like domesticate a raccoon & lived with one. But how rare is it at that point to be bitten twice by a raccoon?

Racoon conflict
Several weeks ago a racoon clearly moved into the walls of my apartment. I am on the third floor of a really old house, landlord like to solve problems himself and has been out of the country.
Fast forward, racoon has babies, we can hear them in clearly making racoon baby sounds. However now there is a second racoon and three times now I hear the racoons fighting and the last two times the baby also making a noise. Just learned other racoons could kill the babies, landlord should be here in a week to put a trap on the porch (which is far fro the two entry points that I have filmed the racoons entering the walls/roof through. )... will the baby racoon be killed? It is more humane to do something else aside from trap and move them? I don't think they should remain in our walls, but I can't tell how many babies I hear but I think I hear less.
ADVICE PLS

Talk me out of this. Or maybe into it...I don't know.
Earlier this week my wife was out walking our dogs and noticed that something was fiddling about in our front yard. I keep a feed bucket out there with corn and protein kibble to keep the deer that frequent my yard fat and happy. She grabbed a flashlight and discovered a little bandit mask looking back at her. As she continued to watch, he pulled himself out of the bucket, and she saw the heartbreaking part...the poor little guy is PARAPLEGIC. No control at all of his hind legs.
I suspect he was hit by a car, or perhaps was attacked somehow. By the time I got there, he was scooting himself out of my yard towards the street very slowly, and I lost sight of him in the dark. The next night, he returned and I was able to get closer. I can't seem to see a tail on him as he moves pretty slowly. He isn't behaving in a threatening manner at all, just trying to avoid me. I found that he appears to be living in the culvert pipes in front of mine and my neighbor's houses.
We're absolutely brokenhearted for the little guy. I'm quite sure his ability to forage is limited due to the disability, and he does seem somewhat thin based on other raccoons we've seen in the area. My concern is not only his health, but also his safety as there are a LOT of coyotes in our area. I'm quite certain that if they eventually locate him, he will stand ZERO chance given his extremely limited mobility.
I'm strongly considering trying to capture him. I think I can do it by moving up on him and covering him with a blanket, and using thick/heavy gloves to move him into a large dog crate we have. Then, ensure that he has plenty of good food and fresh water, and try to normalize him to us where he might actually be able to roam around my house a bit. Lots of concerns though regarding possible aggression, diseases/parasites, etc. I'm having rescue fantasies of a disabled raccoon running around my house in a 3d printed wheelchair, which I know is a dumb idea, but we just feel so bad for the little guy. He's very cute, and I have an undeniable urge to do SOMETHING.
Talk me out of it. Or into it. Need advice from folks more in-the-know than we are. Just keep putting out food and hoping for the best for him? Or intervene?

His name is Bering from the somewhat obscure sequel to Brother. He’s voiced by legendary voice actor Jim Cummings and I can definitely tell. I ask because it feels like I’m the only one who actually remembers this fat little trash bandit.
