Ohio Representative Jim Jordan, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, has requested an audit of communications records from three major pharmaceutical giants, amid escalating concerns about alleged censorship collaborations with federal agencies.
In a dramatic turn of events, letters were dispatched on Tuesday to Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Merck & Co. These letters, authored by Jordan, urged the companies to produce any documents and information that could illuminate their potential involvement in categorizing particular narratives as “misinformation” under the guidance or influence of government personnel.
It has already been previously established that Pfizer board member Scott Gottlieb was responsible for flagging a tweet by journalist Alex Berenson to Twitter just prior to him being banned from the platform.
This follows an invitation the trio of companies received from the Department of Health and Human Services back in December 2020. The agenda? A meeting with Stanford University and executive branch agencies to build a unified front against the spread of COVID-19 vaccine disinformation, as per records made available to the committee.
The oversight role of the committee, Jordan argues, necessitates this pursuit of pertinent documents and data. The Chairman’s letters succinctly capture his belief that such a censorship system, if indeed endorsed or enabled by the government, would pose a severe threat to the First Amendment and to civil liberties.

Despite Reversal, Discharged Military Members Still Feel Impact of COVID Vaccine Mandate
Federal COVID-era vaccine policies hurt U.S. service members, according to witnesses testifying at a House Oversight Hearing Thursday examining the mandates.
The Pentagon announced in January of this year that it would lift its COVID vaccine mandate but not before the vast majority of U.S. service members already were forced into vaccination. Those who refused were usually denied their exemption request and often discharged.
Danielle Runyan, senior counsel at First Liberty Institute, a group that has represented U.S. service members in lawsuits fighting for exemptions, testified at the hearing saying that 1,417,800 service members were forced into vaccination, many of whom experienced side effects like heart problems.
“While many Americans may have largely moved beyond the detrimental impacts of the COVID-19 vaccine mandates, one of our nation’s greatest assets – our military service members – are still suffering the consequences,” she said.

The studies also showed that there were a number of serious adverse events noted in the vaccinated groups, with a number of participants experiencing heart attacks, pulmonary embolisms, and spontaneous miscarriages.”

CHD Exclusive: Clinical Trial Documents Suggest Moderna Skimped on Autopsies, Discounted Serious Injuries — Did FDA Know?
The documents, previously submitted by Moderna to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as part of the licensing process for Moderna’s Spikevax COVID-19 vaccine, included details on unexplained deaths and fetal abnormalities in animal studies.
A 13,685-page tranche of documents related to Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials released Tuesday contain details about the deaths of 16 trial participants, the prevalence of severe adverse events (SAEs) and other abnormalities.
The documents, previously submitted by Moderna to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as part of the licensing process for Moderna’s Spikevax COVID-19 vaccine, also exposed an “utter lack of thoroughness” in how the trials were conducted, according to Defending the Republic (DTR), a Dallas-based nonprofit that obtained the documents via a a still-pending Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against Moderna.
The documents, shared with The Defender in advance of their public release, are the first set of “Moderna documents” to be released as part of the lawsuit — with approximately 8,000 more pages expected to follow later this year.
Travis Miller, a Fort Worth-based attorney representing DTR, told The Defender, “These documents include over 13,500 pages relating to serious adverse event listings that document injuries — such as shingles and Bell’s palsy and other more serious conditions — which we believe may be related to the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.”
DTR also received documents describing experiments involving mRNA injections on rats in 2017-2018, prior to the onset of COVID-19. Miller told The Defender these studies revealed fetal abnormalities in pregnant rats.
Dr. Meryl Nass @DrMerylNass, an internist, biological warfare epidemiologist and member of the Children’s Health Defense scientific advisory committee, said the Moderna clinical trial data bear similarities to the outcomes seen in the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine trials, and raise several questions about safety and liability.
Nass told The Defender:
“Both the preclinical (animal) studies of Moderna and of Pfizer revealed skeletal abnormalities in the offspring of vaccinated mice and rats at higher-than-normal rates and revealed vaccine components travelled throughout the body into all organs.
“Both the Pfizer and Moderna trial data in humans reveal concerning deaths and side effects that were attributed to other causes, but likely were vaccine side effects.”
Nass said “it appears” the FDA did not perform due diligence regarding the clinical trials for each vaccine.
“Did the FDA perform its required regulatory function to oversee the conduct of the trials?” Nass asked. “Or did Operation Warp Speed wave the vaccines through without a proper FDA review of the data?”
