SOW SEEDS OF LOVE (Be God’s Outstretched Arm Of Love To A Hurting World)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Peter 4:8 TLB “Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love makes up for many of your faults.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Some people get upset whenever they feel unloved or unappreciated by others. This is because they depend on others to make them happy, and when they meet people who don’t seem to care for them, they feel crushed. That’s not God’s dream for you. Instead of waiting for people to care for you, He wants you to be the one to love and care for others. That’s the way to think; don’t wait for people to care for you. Rather, live life from the standpoint of a blesser, and look out for people that need to be loved, blessed, and cared for.
You need to see yourself as God’s outstretched hand to bless your world. God said to Abraham: “And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others]” (Genesis 12:2 AMPC). You’re the seed of Abraham, and you’ve been called to dispense good to others. When you learn to see yourself this way, your happiness and joy won’t be dependent on others, but will naturally effuse from within you: “...the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness...” (Galatians 5:22 NIV).
Be willing to show to others the same love you desire to receive. If you show love, you’ll receive love. The Bible says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7). If you sow the seed of love in abundance, you’ll surely reap a harvest of love from others in a greater measure. The beautiful thing about it is, when you sow love in abundance, you won’t only receive love from those to whom you expressed love, but also from people you never knew before.

ONLY THINK THE BEST (Stay Positive In Your Heart And Mind)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 13:7-8 AMPC “Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. Love never fails….”
▶️ LET’S TALK
God’s kind of love is truly awesome; it believes only the best about others every time. Some people get into awkward situations because they believe all the wrong and negative things they hear about others and end up losing good friends. You should never allow anyone bring you negative information about someone else and defile the purity of your spirit. Don’t give your mind to such irrelevant information! Learn to see others the way God sees them—from the perspective of God’s love—and you’ll never be wrongly influenced by any negative information about them, whether cooked-up or factual.
Stay positive and hold good thoughts about everyone in your mind. Philippians 4:8 emphasises the kind of thoughts you should have and set your mind on. It doesn’t tell us to dwell on allegations against people. This is the Word of God. Practise it and you’ll become the reflection of your thoughts (Proverbs 23:7). Imagine that your life is a reflection of the things listed in Philippians 4:8. How amazing that’ll be!
In the same way that God wants you to be positive about people, He also expects you to have a positive outlook and mentality for your life. When there’s a situation you need to deal with, perhaps in your health or your finances, whatever it may be, be full of joy because you know that anything is possible. The Word says, “A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing...” (Proverbs 17:22 AMPC). Count it all joy when you go through diverse tests. Why? It’s because your victory is inevitable (James 1:2)! Refuse to allow anyone or anything knock the joy out of you, and be happy about your life, everyone, and everything!

FAITH: THE HEART’S RESPONSE (Respond To God’s Word From Your Spirit!)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 4:13 NIV “It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak”
▶️ LET’S TALK
The importance of your human spirit can’t be overemphasised, because it’s your spirit that makes contact with God. According to Romans 10:9–10, you believe with your spirit (your heart); that’s why believing is so important. You see, faith is not a response of your mind or brain; it’s the response of your spirit to the Word of God.
In Mark 2:11, we find an example of a response of faith. Jesus said to a man who was lame, “...Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” The man acted on the Word immediately and got a miracle. But he was lame; how could he have gotten up? Understand this: It was the man’s body, not his spirit, that was crippled. So, the only way he could have gotten up was if he responded with his spirit. Thank God he didn’t argue but acted from his spirit on the Master’s instruction, and we can be inspired by his testimony today.
Some people struggle with faith, trying to receive something from God. What they don’t realise is that they’re working from the outside, and that just won’t cut it. What will produce the result is the response from your spirit, not your mind or body. Once you can believe the Word with your heart and voice it out with your mouth, it’ll produce results. That’s what Jesus meant in Mark 11:23: “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

MAINTAIN GOOD CHARACTER (Don’t Permit Any Negative Situation To Rub Off On You)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Peter 1:5-7 MSG “So don’t lose a minute in building on what you’ve been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love....”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Often times, you find people who allow their good character to be corrupted or negatively influenced by the bad behaviour or ill-treatment they receive from others. For instance, someone could decide to stop greeting a neighbour because each time he greets that neighbour, he or she doesn’t answer. To make such a decision would mean that you’re allowing someone’s bad behaviour change your good character. Never allow that happen to you.
If someone, like that unfriendly neighbour, took undue advantage of your good behaviour, it’s no justification for you to change from good to bad. Maintain your good character. Keep on being the nice, loving, and caring one; it will pay off. The question to ask before making a decision to change your good behaviour should be, “Was it right for me to do what I did?” If it was right, then you shouldn’t change it simply because someone else doesn’t like it.
Don’t be moved by the negative actions, comments, or ill-treatment of others. Rather, respond in love to those who hurt or despitefully use you. If you act this way, you’ll be protecting your own spirit and, at the same time, promoting love, harmony, and unity. Make the quality choice not to allow someone’s bad behaviour change your good character.

UNDENIABLE JOY (Your Joy-Nature In Christ Jesus)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Isaiah 12:3 AMPC “Therefore with joy will you draw water from the wells of salvation.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
From the moment you were born again, you were brought into a life of unending, undeniable joy. The Bible says in Romans 14:17, “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Joy is an emotion evoked by satisfaction, appreciation, and pleasure. God was joyful when He created the earth; He appreciated what He made and took pleasure in it (Genesis 1:31). The joy you have is not of this world but of God; therefore, it’s independent of external circumstances.
1 Peter 1:8 describes the joy of those in Christ this way: “Whom (Jesus Christ) having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory.” You see, everywhere Jesus went during His earthly walk, He brought joy to people, and He still does today (Acts 10:38). The joy that comes from your spirit transcends physical circumstances; it’s permanent, and it’ll keep you strong and healthy.
The Bible says, “A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones” (Proverbs 17:22). Learn to be joyful and maintain a happy spirit. Joy is a fruit of the recreated human spirit (Galatians 5:22), so you can be joyful at all times.
Produce joy from your spirit by making melodies and singing new songs from your heart to the Lord. The Lord delights to hear your joyful praise. Nehemiah 8:10 says, “... The joy of the Lord is your strength.” God wants you joyful so you can transfer that same joy to your environment.

UNSTOPPABLE POWER! (It Works For Those Who Believe)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Mark 9:23 “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.””
▶️ LET’S TALK
Some Christians wonder why the power of God doesn’t work for some situations in their lives. What they don’t realise is that, though God’s power is always available to save, bless, heal, and transform lives, it only works for those who believe (Romans 1:16). Some people make the mistake of thinking or saying that every sick person Jesus prayed for was healed, but the Bible doesn’t say that. In some places, the Bible says “... He healed many who were sick...” (Mark 1:34), and in some other places, it says He “…healed all who were sick” (Matthew 8:16). We should know the difference between “many” and “all.”
There’s a particular instance where the Bible records that Jesus couldn’t perform miracles. Guess where it was? In His hometown of Nazareth! Mark 6 lets us know that because the people had been so familiar with Him, they disdained Him and were offended that He was acting differently from what they thought of Him. Consequently, the Bible says, “He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them” (Mark 6:5 NIV). Now, if the Bible says Jesus “could not do any miracles,” it means that He tried; He attempted to but it didn’t work.
He couldn’t do any mighty work, like the blind receiving sight, the deaf hearing, or the lame walking. He couldn’t perform such miracles in Nazareth, because the people didn’t believe. The Bible says He “…marveled because of their unbelief.” Unbelief short-circuits the power of God. That’s why Jesus would always say to people, “Only believe,” because if you don’t believe, you won’t experience the power of God. If you don’t believe, He can’t save you. The power works for those who believe. There’s no impossibility for you if you’d only believe (Mark 9:23).

NO MORE “PAST” (Through The New Birth, You’re Disconnected From Your Past)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
When the Lord Jesus died, you died with Him; when He was buried, you were buried with Him; and when He resurrected, you also arose with Him into a newness of life. Your past was backdated to Calvary, and your new life started with the resurrection of Jesus Christ: “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). Anyone who has received Christ is a new species of being that never existed before. The old person in you has been crucified with Christ; now there’s a new person with a new life in his place.
No wonder Colossians 3:10 says you “…have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator” (NIV). In Romans 7:6, the Apostle Paul, emphasising our disconnection from the past and old ways of life, admonished that we serve God in the newness of spirit. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve achieved; what counts with God is that you’re born again and, thus, have become a new creation in Christ Jesus: “… In Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation” (Galatians 6:15).
When you’re born again, it doesn’t matter what hereditary disease was in your earthly lineage, it ends with you! That’s because you’re in Christ now, and you’ve been severed from everything of the past. There’s no more darkness! It makes no difference how terrible your entire life has been; you’re in Christ now. Therefore, everything has changed! The past is gone; it’s no more. You have a new life. Walk with this consciousness!

FAITH TALKS! (Speak Faith, Not Fear!)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Once, the children of Israel were terribly afraid because of the evil report brought by some of the men Moses had sent to spy out the land of Canaan. The people wept bitterly when the spies told them about the giants in the land and how they were like grasshoppers before the giants. “We can’t defeat them,” they said, voicing their fears instead of their faith. That’s how some Christians are today.
They lose heart and allow fear to take hold of them upon hearing the lies and evil reports from the enemy. He puts fear in their hearts by constantly bombarding their minds with negative thoughts about their health, finances, safety, etc. Now, it doesn’t matter what the doctors have diagnosed concerning your health; refuse to fear. Voice your faith by releasing God’s Word of faith and divine health.
I urge you today to do what Caleb and Joshua did; out of the twelve men Moses sent to spy out Canaan, only the two of them stood out boldly to voice their faith. They said concerning the giants, “…They are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not” (Numbers 14:9 KJV). That’s the voice of faith, and faith is what gives you the victory.
When you find yourself in an uncomfortable position, learn to speak faith-filled words. Never voice fear. As read in our opening scripture, the Lord is admonishing you today: “…Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” In other words, when things don’t seem to be working out right, don’t say, “Why me?” Instead, be strong and courageous. Refuse to fear or be discouraged; stand your ground in faith and keep the victory shout going.

HIS FREE GIFT TO YOU (God’s Gift Of Righteousness Is For Everyone)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 5:17 “For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Lucas was in church one day when he heard for the first time that God didn’t require his righteousness. He was in absolute shock, because all his life growing up, he had heard that God wanted him to be very righteous by living a life of austerity, without which he wouldn’t make it to heaven! But all that was refuted the moment he heard the Pastor teach from Romans 5:17-21 about God’s gift of righteousness. And that day, Lucas received it!
You see, the Lord Jesus Christ didn’t come with the law; He came with grace and brought us righteousness as a gift (John 1:17). Righteousness is the expression of the will and nature of the Father. He declared us righteous, because we’re new creatures in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” Romans 4:25 lets us know that He (Jesus) “…was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.” Thus, He’s cleared you of all sin.
When you heard the Gospel and believed, and declared Jesus Christ to be the Lord of your life, you became the recipient of His grace and righteousness. You weren’t justified before God because of your own righteousness; no! You stand in Christ’s righteousness; it’s the result of what Jesus did. He came, not only to reveal the righteousness of God (the will and nature of the Father), but also to make us the righteousness of God. He’s given you that nature, ability, authority, and ministry to carry on what He began both to do and teach. He’s endowed you with the gift and ability to reveal and manifest the will, purpose, and character of your heavenly Father. What a life! Glory to God!

BE GRACECONSCIOUS (Let His Grace Be At Work In You)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 9:8 AMPC “…God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].”
▶️ LET’S TALK
The opening scripture shows that the Lord directs grace towards you, and this grace brings you acceptability, honour, and dignity. It also attracts the right people, circumstances, and resources to you, in line with God’s purpose for your life. The Bible encourages us to take advantage of the grace that’s in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 2:1). With this grace, you can be successful in any and every endeavour.
Become conscious of what we read in our opening verse; it says God is able to make ALL grace abound toward you, and He did in Christ Jesus. Every so often, declare, “I walk and function in grace; grace sets me apart for glory and excellence. I’m a child of grace.” The Bible also states, “…Of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace” (John 1:16). Furthermore, Paul tells us the result of having received this overflow and superfluity of grace: “…Much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17 KJV).
Grace causes us to reign (to “king”) in life. This means you’re in dominion; you’re ruling over demons, sickness and disease, poverty, failure, and death through Christ Jesus. Now that you know His grace is at work in you, what others struggle for will naturally come to you by free course. Hallelujah!

PRAY FOR EVERYBODY (Praying For People Everywhere Is Important)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Timothy 2:1 NIV “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
A few years ago, while talking to the Lord, I had some questions on my mind. Why did it seem like the world was going in a wrong direction in spite of much preaching by ministries and churches? Why was there so much trouble in the world and very little peace? The Lord soon began to show me some things. He directed me to 1 Timothy 2:1-2 NIV, which says, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” Here, He shows us what to prioritise as we pray.
We all want to lead quiet and peaceable lives; we want honesty in our societies. But for all that to happen, the Scripture tells us what we must do: pray for all people, for kings, and for all who are in authority. God wants us to pray like this “first of all”; in other words, as a priority. It’s a divine instruction.
As the Church of Jesus Christ, we can’t ignore this instruction and expect to have peace or honest men and women to lead our societies. The Lord’s instruction is clear; we must deliberately gather to pray for all men and all the different categories of leaders in our societies: presidents, governors, mayors, heads of schools, heads of major influential institutions and more.
If we pray more this way, God’s righteousness will be established in our nations, cities and communities; and all forms of evil, turmoil, wickedness and terror will be thwarted. If you haven’t learnt to pray this way, begin today. Intercede in prayer and give thanks, first of all, for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority, before you pray for or about other matters.

“What’s the origin of life? How did mankind come into being?” the Modern Science professor asked his classroom of students. Perplexed by his abrupt questioning, no student made any attempt to answer except Cyril, a teenager known for his love of Jesus.
“Jesus Christ—the Word of God—is the true origin of life, and He brought man into being, sir. If you’d read John 1:1-12, you’ll see that what I said is true.”
Knowing the origin of life is one of science’s most perplexing mysteries. No one has ever created life. The very source or substance of life hasn’t been known to man. But 1 John 1:2 KJV tells us something so profound; it says, “…life was manifested, and we have seen it….” This means life came out of obscurity and was shown to us. How? Who or what did John and the people of his day see that they called life? It was Jesus! He is life personified. Hallelujah!
Imagine that you saw someone or something that says to you, “I’m life; I’m responsible for your existence.” What would you think? Well, it happened. That’s what we read in our opening verse. Jesus said, “...I am the way, the truth, and the life….” Who could ever dare say such a thing?
Jesus proved this claim of His: A man named Lazarus was dead and buried for four days, and they sent for Jesus. When Jesus got there, He said to Martha, Lazarus’ sister, “...I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live” (John 11:25).
Moments later, Jesus stood by the grave of Lazarus and “...cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”” (John 11:43). To the utter bewilderment of the people gathered, Lazarus came back to life! Hallelujah!
Jesus is indeed the resurrection and the life. God gave Him power over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as God has given Him (John 17:2). This covers everything that He came to do; it’s the biggest of them all: He came to give us life. You received that life and became a partaker of the divine nature when you were born again. Glory to God!

LISTEN WHEN WISDOM SPEAKS (Being Led By The Voice Of Wisdom)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Proverbs 8:1-3 TLB “Can’t you hear the voice of wisdom? She is standing at the city gates and at every fork in the road, and at the door of every house. Listen to what she says.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
The Word of God is the wisdom of God. In Proverbs 8, we read about the appeal of Wisdom. For example, in the eighteenth verse, Wisdom says, “Riches and honor are with me, enduring riches and righteousness.” However, in spite of this, why are there still so many poor people in the world? It’s because many ignore Wisdom.
Again, Wisdom says, “I traverse the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice, that I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth, that I may fill their treasuries” (Proverbs 8:20-21). This should be enough to encourage you to immerse yourself in the study and meditation of the Word daily. When you give the Word attention, you’re giving attention to Wisdom.
Sadly, many haven’t cultivated the habit of exalting Wisdom, of embracing and celebrating Wisdom. How do you exalt or honour Wisdom? It’s by honouring the Word, giving the Word first place in your life, and making the Word your ultimate authority.
Proverbs 4:7-9 TLB says, “Getting wisdom is the most important thing you can do! And with your wisdom, develop common sense and good judgment. If you exalt wisdom, she will exalt you. Hold her fast, and she will lead you to great honor; she will place a beautiful crown upon your head.” The wisdom of God—the Word of God—will bring you to a place of honour. That means if you don’t exalt the Word of God in your life and in the lives of others, you won’t come to a place of honour.

GOD’S LIVING MESSAGE (You’re The Written Letter Of Christ To Your World)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 3:2-3 NASB “You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
As you study the Word of God, it’s important you don’t miss the points that the Spirit of God wants you to grasp. An example of such powerful and important truth is what the Apostle Paul gives in today’s scripture: you’re the letter of Christ, written by the Spirit of God. What does this mean? It means you’re God’s message to the world—you’re His Word! Hallelujah! No wonder Jesus says you’re the light of the world. God is using you to give a message to the world every day; that’s why you’re so peculiar!
John wrote concerning Jesus, “…The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). When they saw Jesus in Bible days, they saw the Word walking, talking and living amongst them. No wonder they called Him “Emmanuel,” meaning “God with us!” Back then, anyone who wanted to know what God was like would only have to look at Jesus.
But today, in the New Testament, anyone who wants to see God’s Word alive should look at you! You’re the letter of Christ today. So, when you study the New Testament, you’re looking at yourself. This is the truth, and you’ve got to accept it with faith in your spirit. James 1:18 says, “Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth…”; meaning that you’re born of the Word of God. If you’re born of the Word of God, then you’re one with the Word. Jesus is the Word of God made flesh. You’re the offspring of the Word of God. So, who are you? The Word—His letter! Glory to God!

YOU HAVE WHAT YOU SAY! (There’s Power In Your Spoken Words!)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Mark 11:23 NIV “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
One day, as Jesus and His disciples were returning to Jerusalem from Bethany, He sighted a fig tree in the distance, and being hungry, He drew close to it, expecting to find some figs to eat. However, when He got to the tree, there were no figs because it wasn’t yet the season for figs. Then Jesus spoke to the fig tree in the hearing of His disciples; He said, “...No one shall ever eat figs from you again...” (Mark 11:14 GNB).
It so happened that they passed through that same route the next day, and Peter, remembering what had transpired the previous day, said to the Lord, “…Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away” (Mark 11:21). Jesus responded by telling Peter (and the other disciples) to have the God-kind of faith (Mark 11:22). What did He mean by the God-kind of faith?
The God-kind of faith is the faith that believes in the heart and speaks accordingly. This is what Jesus taught in our opening verse. By His statement, Jesus wasn’t teaching about mountains or problems but about the power of the spoken word—the Word in your mouth. We can therefore conclude that the key point in Mark 11:23 is: “You shall have what you say!” Your words would certainly come to pass when you speak in faith. There’s power in your mouth!

ELIMINATE THAT STRONGHOLD! (Use God’s Word And The Power Of His Spirit)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
There are laws of nature constantly at work, whether or not we’re conscious of their existence. Gravity, for example, will work for or against you, depending on how you apply or relate to it. In the same vein, there’re laws in the realm of the spirit from where human life is controlled, and to be ignorant of their reality is to fool oneself.
The Bible says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds...” (2 Corinthians 10:4). “Strongholds” as described above aren’t physical barriers or walls; they’re ideas in people’s heads— theories they’ve accepted in life that have kept them from moving in the direction of God’s dream and destiny for them. Those ideas were built into their minds by satanic forces. This is the reason some people refuse to give offerings in church or pay tithes, even though they’ve heard about the blessings of God for those who do.
It can only take the Word of God and the power of His Spirit to pull down such strongholds. This is why it’s important for you to make a rich deposit of God’s Word in your spirit through study and meditation, as we see in Colossians 3:16: “Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness...” (AMPC). This is a necessity if you must live successfully and navigate your way gloriously through life.

IT’S FOOD FOR YOUR SPIRIT (“Eat” God’s Word And Be Propelled To Action)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Psalm 119:103-105 “How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Emily loved good food, exercise, and cooking too. She would ensure that she got a balanced diet with the right quantity of proteins, carbs, vitamins, minerals, fats, as well as fruits and veggies daily. As a result, she was healthy and strong, with beautiful hair, and radiant skin, and she always did better at school than her peers, who mostly fed on junk food.
Have you ever heard the term “You’re what you eat?” This means that whatever you feed on goes into your body and becomes a part of your system. In other words, what you eat becomes one with your body, and does its work building it and causing growth and maintenance. It’s the same thing with God’s Word in your spirit.
When you “eat” the Word, through study and meditation, the Word goes into your system and becomes one with your spirit! You become the “Word” that you eat. That “Word” becomes an inside force—an energy—that propels you to act accordingly. The Word of God wasn’t given to us just to reveal some things to us about God; the Word of God was given to us to feed on and live by.
Some people only believe the Word, but “believing” isn’t enough; you must believe and then act accordingly! You haven’t really believed the Word if you weren’t compelled to act accordingly, because when you believe, you’re compelled to take action. We believe to do! In the Old Testament, the Word was to them an outside force. In the New Testament, it’s an inside force. The Word lives in us today; we’re born of the Word and thus one with the Word. The Word in you will regulate your thoughts and actions and cause you to walk in righteousness.

IT’S ENCRYPTED LANGUAGE (Tongues – Your Access To Divine Mysteries)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 14:2 AMPC “For one who speaks in an [unknown] tongue speaks not to men but to God, for no one understands or catches his meaning, because in the [Holy] Spirit he utters secret truths and hidden things [not obvious to the understanding].”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Imagine that your dad worked in a highly-sensitive government facility and you had the incredible privilege of touring it—alone! Of course, there would be certain “restricted areas” in the building you would need to punch in the right password or code to enter; otherwise, you’ll be denied access. In the same way, in order to access certain secrets and mysteries in the realm of the spirit, you need to key in the right codes by speaking in tongues! It’s the coded language of the spirit, reserved only for the initiated—those who are born again. That’s why it makes no sense to the natural mind of the one who isn’t born again.
What’s more, when you speak in tongues, you express yourself better to God and reveal to angels how to destroy the works of the enemy (Ephesians 3:10). This is because they don’t know everything there is to know about God and His glorious Kingdom, so they listen to you to know more. At the same time, when you speak in tongues, satan and his cohorts are confounded, because they can’t decode what you’re saying.
Speaking in tongues also positions you in God’s perfect will for you. You may not know what steps to take regarding your education, finances, relationships and other things that concern you, but as you speak this coded language, light will come to your spirit and you’ll know exactly what to do. So, take advantage of this divine access code by making it a conscious habit to speak in tongues every day!

BLESSINGS ACTIVATED! (Trigger God’s Blessings In Your Life)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Our opening verse today doesn’t say God is going to bless us; it says He has blessed us! This is an amazing reality, and the most beautiful part is that there’re no conditions attached. You’ve been blessed already. Often times, people say, “I’m waiting on the Lord to do this and that for me.” And by this, they mean they’re expecting Him to “do” something about their case. If there’s anything you’re waiting for God to do for you, then I’ll like to announce to you that God is waiting for you to do something and effect the change that you desire!
There’re two things to understand from Ephesians 1:3: The first one is that the spiritual controls the physical; meaning, if He’s blessed you with all spiritual blessings, then you’re blessed with all earthly blessings as well. The lesser is included in the greater. The second thing is that, as far as God is concerned, everything you’ll ever require to have a glorious and exceptional life has been granted you. God isn’t holding anything back from you; He’s already done everything. What you’re supposed to do is act on His Word and make what He’s already done real in your life.
2 Kings 7:1 tells us something very instructive. Elisha, along with the children of Israel and their king, had been waiting on God to do something and change the economy of Israel. But nothing happened until Elisha gave the Word: “...Listen to what the LORD says! By this time tomorrow you will be able to buy in Samaria ten pounds of the best wheat or twenty pounds of barley for one piece of silver” (GNB). When he made this declaration, the economy of the nation changed within twenty-four hours, just as he had said! Take charge of your life with the Word of God in your heart and in your mouth!

REMAIN UNWAVERING (Maintain Your Focus And Don’t Give Up)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
God wants you to be unwavering in your walk of faith, because, at the right time, you’ll reap a harvest if you don’t give up. As a child of God, there are unique abilities He has placed within you. You might be at a stage in your life where you’re not sure whether you should continue doing the things the Lord has committed to you because of the challenges, persecutions, tests, and trials you’re facing. But I encourage you today to maintain your focus and not give up.
The Bible says that if you give up in the day of adversity, then your strength is small (Proverbs 24:10). But your strength isn’t small, because the Lord Himself is your strength. To give up in the day of trouble means you trusted in yourself rather than in the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:5 lets us know that it’s “not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God” (AMPC). Trust Him to see you through; He’s your ability. No wonder the Spirit of God, through the Apostle Paul, prays that you be strengthened with miracle-working ability by the Spirit in your inner man. You do that by studying the Word and praying in the Holy Ghost.
When you spend time studying and meditating on the Word, in addition to speaking in tongues regularly, your spirit is energised with miracle-working ability. Suddenly, the whole world becomes small to you, and you see that, really, nothing is impossible to you. When you’re strengthened with divine enablement in your inner man, you become too persuaded to be dissuaded. Instead, you become like Abraham, strong in faith and giving glory to God.

HALT THEM IN THEIR TRACKS! (Pray Against Wicked And Unreasonable Men)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
The Apostle Paul asked for the saints to pray for him and other ministers with him, that they may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men who were against the faith and the preaching of the Gospel. How we need such prayers even today! When decrees or laws are passed that are anti-Christian or against the preaching of the Gospel, or when corrupt officials steal, cheat, and destroy what belongs to the collective society, you must be aware that such things are done by unreasonable and wicked men who have found their way into power for their own selfish ends.
We also need to recognise that we can do something about this. In fact, God expects us to, because in the third verse of 2 Thessalonians 3, we’re given the assurance that we have His attention when we pray against such: “But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” You’ve got so much power, but you won’t enjoy it with your lips closed. For that power to be effective, you have to open your mouth, pray, and declare what you want to see in your country.
You’re not in any way helpless or hamstrung. You’re not at the mercy of the evil machinations and strategies of unreasonable and wicked men, irrespective of the position they occupy. You can stop them in their tracks through prayer! I challenge you today to be that righteous young man or woman who will take a stand in prayer and not stop praying until there’s a change!

DOMINATE! (Take Charge Of Your World)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Genesis 1:28 KJV “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
God made this world and gave Adam the authority to run it. He placed all things under him and gave him dominion to be in charge of everything, living and non-living (Genesis 1:26). When He said to man, “Replenish the earth,” the word “replenish” brings to mind some very important thoughts. The beautiful world God created had become a chaotic mass, and He blessed man and charged him to replenish it.
To replenish means to refill, refurbish, replace, repair, or restore. That means something had gone wrong; there was a devil out there who had ruined things, and Adam was given the opportunity and responsibility to fix it. That’s the beautiful life to which we’ve been called in Christ: a life of dominion, authority, blessings, and control over the world in which we live.
God charged us to tame this world and subdue it, not subdue one another. What He wants from us concerning one another is to walk in love. 1 John 4:7-8 says, “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love” (NIV). As you walk in dominion and authority over the world and its elements, over the vagaries of nature, He says, “Love one another.” Don’t exert undue dominion over others because each one of us is made in the image and likeness of our heavenly Father.

WHY PRAY ANYWAY? (Your Earnest, Heartfelt, Continued Prayers Can Cause Changes)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
James 5:16 AMPC “…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Some people give up a little too soon when faced with seemingly hopeless situations and challenges. They go about wailing and complaining to everyone about every problem instead of talking—in prayer—to the only One who can make a difference. The scripture above talks about the kind of prayer that produces results: it is earnest, heartfelt, and continued. It’s the kind of prayer that involves your emotions and all of your being—you put yourself into the prayer. It’s not a casual exercise but a serious-minded endeavour, intense with a singleness of purpose, such that you aren’t distracted by anything that’s unrelated to your goal.
At such times, you turn off the Internet, TV, and even your mobile device, because there’s a matter at hand. You’re praying to get results. This was the kind of prayer Elijah prayed when he prayed that it shouldn’t rain on the earth for three-and-a-half years (James 5:17). 1 Kings 18 throws more light on how he prayed earnestly: “…And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees” (1 Kings 18:42). He shut out all distractions and concentrated on his prayer; little wonder he had such great results.
Next time you have a seemingly hopeless situation to deal with, pray earnestly. Look for a quiet place where you can shut yourself away from all distractions and focus all your energies on the Lord. Pray earnestly and passionately, refusing to let your mind wander! Put your whole being into your faith-based prayers, for the earnest, heartfelt prayer of a righteous man produces results; it makes tremendous power available and is dynamic in its working.

GOD’S MASTERPIECE ON DISPLAY (You’re God’s Perfectly-Crafted, Excellently-Created Handiwork)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 2:10 AMPC “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
▶️ LET’S TALK
One of the greatest truths ever communicated to us from the Word of God is that, as Christians, we are God’s own handiwork. We are His reproduction, His perfectly-crafted, excellently-created masterpieces. When you know this, you will believe in and value yourself more. This is the reason you should never think of failure! God has never made a failure; therefore, you should not fail. You were created for success and the good life. Sickness, poverty, disease, death, and the down-life are not consistent with your true nature and identity. Therefore, never descend to their level. God made you for His glory; you are a wonder—a product of divine orchestration and a miracle happening everywhere you go! You are God’s dream come true, so never look down on yourself.
It doesn’t matter what others call you; what matters is what you call yourself based on what God has said about you. He has made you rich, healthy, victorious, super-intelligent, and influential. Therefore, say, “Yes, Lord, I am what you say I am. I believe in what you’ve made me to be. I believe in my prosperity, health, success, promotion, and increase. I see myself making progress and moving forward.
You are God’s best. God gave birth to you in order to show you off as the crown of all His creation (James 1:18 MSG). You are first-class among all His creation, called to display His virtues and perfections. Therefore, see the future, and see your greatness! See God using you to do great and mighty things and touch lives all over the world. You were made for His glory and perfected for the good life—see yourself that way and believe in yourself.

PREACH THE GOSPEL BOLDLY (Manifest God’s Glory In Soul Winning)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 28:30-31 “…Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
The opening scripture brings to mind the testimony of a dear pastor who was sent to take the Gospel to a top ruler in some Muslim region. The first time he went, he was turned down. But his senior Pastor who gave him the instruction told him to go again. So, he went the second time, undaunted, knowing that it could cost him his life; again, they turned him down.
The senior Pastor, convinced he had heard from the Lord, said to him the third time, “Go again.” And he went; this time, no man forbidding him. Hallelujah! He delivered the message as he was sent, at the peril of his life. This is divine boldness to an instruction from heaven.
With boldness and courage, we’re to take the message of the Gospel to those in our world and the regions beyond. There’s an unusual grace from God at work in the lives of His children and in the Church today: all roads open, and all barriers crumble because of the power of the Gospel and the Name of Jesus that we proclaim. That’s what’s happening everywhere we go, hallelujah!
More than ever before, boldly proclaim the Gospel. Remember where we’re from: the family of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Esther, Elijah, Elisha, Paul, Peter, John to name a few. Think about what they were like in their day and what they did with the message (study the entire Hebrews 11). The Bible says of the apostles, “…they spoke the word of God with boldness” (Acts 4:31). They preached everywhere until they filled the whole of Jerusalem with their doctrine (Acts 5:28).
The same is happening in our day: billions of people from around the world are inspired and transformed by the message of the Gospel, because we’re of the same stock as the apostles and prophets of old. We’re manifesting the glory of God in soul winning because we function in the same grace and power of the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah!

WORDS OF WISDOM (God Makes Men Wise By His Word)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
In 1 Kings 3, the Bible tells us of a remarkable encounter Solomon had with the Lord. Solomon had offered more than a thousand burnt offerings to God in Gibeon. The same night, the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Solomon, ask for anything you want.” In response, Solomon answered, “…Give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people…” (1 Kings 3:9). How it pleased the Lord that Solomon asked for this.
Here’s what I want you to notice: After the encounter, Solomon was said to be the wisest man on the face of the earth. The Bible says, “And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore. Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men…” (1 Kings 4:29-31). How did Solomon get the wisdom?
God only appeared to him in a dream; there was no physical contact. But God spoke words, and wisdom was imparted to Solomon. In 1 Kings 3:12, the Lord said to Solomon, “Behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.” Solomon believed, and immediately, he began to manifest wisdom.
God gave Solomon wisdom through words; He said it, and that was it! Did you know that He did the same for us? Only that in our case, He gave us something greater than what Solomon had. Our opening verse says Christ Jesus became for us wisdom, and Jesus said of Himself, “...A greater than Solomon is here” (Luke 11:31).
Jesus Christ (a greater than Solomon) is your wisdom— “Sophia” (Greek). “Sophia” is theoretical wisdom and insight into reality; it’s the collective understanding of things. Christ is your excellent wisdom. The wisdom (“Phronesis” in Greek) of the righteous is given you in Christ Jesus. It’s practical wisdom. Thus, in Christ, He has granted you the ability to understand concepts and see relationships between them. He makes you do and say the right things before you think. How amazing this is!
Now, think about the amazing things Solomon did because of the wisdom of God at work in him. You can do much more today because you’re greater than Solomon. You have the wisdom of Christ. Praise God!

WHAT SONGS DO WE SING? (Singing According To Our Dispensation)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Colossians 1:25 KJV “Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
As I studied the Bible, I realised that God never leaves us in the dark about anything. For example, the songs we sing; they’re supposed to be according to dispensations, but many don’t realise it. Our praise of God has to align with our dispensation—where we are in God’s calendar—His prophetic timing, and where we stand with God. When you don’t understand this, you may think that every song is acceptable, but that’s not true.
The Apostle John, while exiled on the island of Patmos, expounded on three distinct groups through the revelation of the Spirit. The first group is found in Revelation 5:8-9. These are the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders. The apostles are part of the twenty-four elders, and they represent the Church. Read the lyrics of their song in Revelation 5:9.
Then, we have the second group in Revelation 14:1-3. These are the 144,000 (about 12 thousand from each of the 12 tribes of Israel). The Bible says, “…They sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth” (Revelation 14:3 NIV). They sang the song, but nobody could grasp or understand what they were singing. Why? Because the song didn’t belong to the dispensation of the four “beasts” and twenty-four elders.
Lastly, the third group—the tribulation saints—who gained victory over the beast. This is found in Revelation 15. However, these tribulation saints, divided into two groups (the Jews and those who became Christians after the Rapture), sang two songs. They sang the song of Moses, and they sang the song of the Lamb (Revelation 15:3-4).
This immediately prompts an understanding that our singing must align with revelation and our dispensation. We must sing songs that truly praise and worship God, songs that are consistent with who we are in Christ, our dominion, and heritage in Him (Revelation 1:6; 5:10). Hallelujah!
