WHAT’S YOUR MIND FIXED ON? (Be Spiritually Minded And Enjoy Life And Peace)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 8:6 RSV “To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Don’t you just love the Scriptures? Think about what we’ve just read in Romans 8:6: It says that if you’re carnally minded, it leads to death. However, if you’re spiritually-minded, you’ll experience life and peace. It’s a simple scripture but absolutely profound! Being carnally-minded means you set your mind on things of the flesh, while being spiritually minded means you set your mind on things of the Spirit.

Being spiritually or carnally minded is about the work of your mind, where you focus your attention. Carnally-minded people only respond to the things of this world; they’re ruled by the flesh. So, examine your life; are you living in agitation? Is your life devoid of peace? When people are flustered, distraught, disturbed, and confused, it’s because they’re not spiritually minded.

The Word is clear: when you’re spiritually minded, you’ll have life and peace. Your focus then, at all times, should be on God’s Word and the eternal realities of the Kingdom. That way, in the midst of troubles and chaos, you’d always have peace—a life without agitations! Isaiah 26:3 declares that God keeps in perfect peace, in the peace of prosperity, the one whose mind is focused on Him: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” So, to enjoy the life of peace that God only gives, set your mind’s focus on the things of the Spirit.

NO MORE CONDEMNATION (Jesus Was Judged In Your Place)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 8:1 ESV “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“No one has the right to judge me; only God has that privilege,” exclaimed Philicia, deeply saddened by the condemning comments on her vlog about her newfound love for Jesus. The phrase “only God has that privilege” stood out to her friend Jessie, who responded, “Philicia, God isn’t going to judge you; your judgement was passed on Christ when He was crucified in your place. Now that you’re born again, there’s no more judgement for you!”

The word translated “condemnation” in the verse above also means judgement. Judgement is part and parcel of God’s programme, even though some people don’t think so. The Bible clearly reveals two main judgements for man. The first one took place when the Lord Jesus was judged for the sins of mankind on the Cross. The second will take place on Judgement Day, before the Great White Throne, and most are more familiar with this one.

According to Romans 8:1, no one has to face this second judgement. He can obtain God’s righteousness by accepting the truth that Jesus was judged for him on the Cross of Calvary. Jesus became the sacrifice for our sin, paid the penalty with His death, and was buried. Thank God He didn’t remain in the grave; He resurrected on the third day! Today, anyone who believes in Him is justified from every sin—severed from judgement. Hallelujah! What He accomplished for us is much more than the remission of sins. He ushered us into a new life; we now have a new nature. Hallelujah!

This is the Gospel: “For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17). Now, everyone can boldly come before the throne of grace to obtain mercy (Hebrews 4:16). But someday, not too far away, that throne of grace will become the throne of judgement for those who rejected salvation in Christ Jesus. That’s why He sent us to tell the world that the price has been paid for their salvation and that Jesus was judged on their behalf. Glory to God!

HE SPEAKS “SPIRIT-LANGUAGE” (You Will Know When God Speaks To You)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 4:24 MSG “My sheep recognize my voice. I know them, and they follow me.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Sometimes, when we say God said something to us, there’re those who get confused and say, “Really, God talked to you? What language did He speak?” They’re ignorant of the fact that man is a spirit, and God is a spirit. God knows just how to get His message across to you; that’s because He relates with your spirit and not with your mind or physical body. When He talks to you, your head may try to reason out His Word to no avail, but your spirit knows exactly when He speaks and what He’s saying because your spirit knows God: “The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart” (Proverbs 20:27).

When God talks to the spirit, He speaks “spirit-language”; it’s spirit-to-spirit communication. Your spirit understands when God speaks. His language isn’t English, French, Portuguese, or any other earthly language, but you’ll hear Him in whatever language you understand when He talks to you. Remember, language is nothing but coded sound. For example, if I say to you, “tata,” it’ll probably mean nothing to you. But if there’s an agreement between two or more people for it to mean “come,” they’ll respond when they hear it.

God is a Master Communicator, and with spirit-language, He can talk to anyone or anything. The Bible says, “He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name” (Psalm 147:4). The next time you see a shooting or a falling star, remember that God calls them by name and they understand Him.

If you’ve never heard Him, it could be that you’ve not been listening from your heart or that you don’t pay attention to His Word. So, keep training yourself to recognise His voice by studying His Word. God and His Word are one, and He only speaks to you in consistency with His Word. The more you study God’s Word, the more you familiarise yourself with His voice and are able to respond to Him when He speaks to you.

“STANDING STRONG” IN FAITH (Don’t Be Swayed Through Satanic Deception, Tactics, And Strategies)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 10:4 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
As a Christian, you ought to look at things from the spiritual perspective, especially when you encounter circumstances that pose some serious challenges to your faith. Are you in a health situation, and you’ve done everything you know and the prognosis is still dim? Or in your finances you’ve applied all the strategies you know, but your situation seems to be worsening, and you’re wondering what next to do?

At such times, stand strong in faith. You have to realise that there’s an adversary who is all out to oppose the Gospel and try to hinder your effectiveness in the things of God. Ephesians 6:10-11 says, “…Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” The wiles of the devil refer to the strategies of the devil. The Apostle Paul, here, wants you to know that there’s an enemy that is lying in wait, strategising against you and the Church.

But to counter this enemy, he tells you to put on the whole armour of God, why? Because he knows that if you don’t put on the whole armour of God, you can’t face the adversary. The twelfth verse of the same chapter goes on to say, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12).

Something about this “wrestling” that you need to realise is that it’s not just a fight as in physical combat; rather, it’s the adversary trying to sway you from the right path through deception. But with the Word in your mouth and heart, you prevail always against the enemy. James 4:7 says, “…Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Revelation 12:11 shows how to resist him. It says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” No matter what the enemy throws at you, stand strong in faith and use the all-powerful Name of Jesus to neutralise him. Hallelujah!

WE’RE AT WAR! (Soul Winning Is “War”)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Through the preaching of the Gospel, we deliver people from Satan’s dominion unto God. It’s warfare. So, you must be prepared. And thank God it’s a war in which we’re victorious. Christians who aren’t prepared easily get discouraged or even knocked out because they didn’t realise that soul winning is war. You can’t win souls without warring in intercession. If you’re going to lead many to Christ, evangelising your world in a remarkable way, you’d have to labour in intercession.

That was the kind of foundation God gave several of us many years ago, while we were still very young. All we knew was prayer, night and day, interceding for the souls of men and the nations of the World. The Bible says Satan, the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those that don’t believe so their hearts won’t receive the light of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4).

It reveals the spirituality of this warfare. We have an adversary—Satan. The Bible says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith…” (1 Peter 5:8-9). The devil is all out to oppose the Gospel and God’s children. But in prayer, you effectively destroy Satan’s stronghold in men’s hearts and his stratagems and machinations against you and your work as a preacher of righteousness. So, pray always in the spirit for those you’re planning to reach with the Gospel.

BE WORDDISCIPLINED! (Imbibe God’s Word Into You)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Proverbs 22:15 AMPC “Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
There’re young people who often don’t behave wisely, even though they’re born again. The reason for this isn’t farfetched; the Bible says the one who isn’t disciplined by a wise and understanding person will grow up to be foolish. God’s Word is the cure for foolishness because the Word of God is the wisdom of God.

No wonder Paul admonished Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:15 to give uninhibited attention to the Scriptures, God’s Word because of the Word’s power and capacity to make one wise: “…From childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” That’s why the preaching and the teaching of the Word are so important.

Don’t ever let the Word become too common to you. Never be casual with your study times and meditation on God’s Word. The Word is what God uses to mould your personality, form your character, create your habits, and chart your course in life in order for you to arrive at your divine destiny.

God’s Word—imbibing it—is more important than the air you breathe. If you stop taking in the Word, you’ll find yourself walking at cross-purposes with God. If you ever want your life to be balanced, full of excellence, grace and glory, the Word of God is the key.

Job said, “…I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food” (Job 23:12). Just as food is necessary for your body’s physical growth and development, your human spirit must feed on the Word. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly….” Inundate your entire being with the Word. Think through the Word; train yourself to reason only by the Word, and not only will you please God, your life will be full of His glory.

YOU’RE INVITED TO THE PARTY! (Be At The Marriage Supper Of The Lamb)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Revelation 19:9 ESV “And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.””

▶️ LET’S TALK
As I contemplate the second coming of the Lord, my heart is filled with so much joy. But you know, about seven years before this second coming, the Rapture will take place (1 Thessalonians 4:17), and we’ll go to heaven for the marriage supper of the Lamb. It’s going to be big! The Bible says, ‘And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!”’ (Revelation 19:6). Glory to God! That’s the number one reason for the Rapture. We’ll get out of this world and assemble in Heaven for a great party. Blessed be God! Are you getting ready for the party?

The Bible says, “After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!” (Revelation 19:1). You’ve got to make up your mind you wouldn’t miss this. There hasn’t been, and could never be, any royal party or event organised by the monarchs or presidents of this world that could compare to the grand party God Almighty is throwing for us in Heaven.

And guess what? The invitation is open to all; all you need is to have been born again. Those of us going in the Rapture are just one of the arrivals, because all those Jesus took with Him when He resurrected are already there waiting. Don’t miss it. Everyone left behind will be full of regrets. The latter part of our opening verse says, “...These are the true words of God.” That day is nearer than many can imagine. This is why we’re going all out, reaching the entire world with the Gospel through Rhapsody of Realities, to prepare many for that glorious day of the Rapture.

PRODUCE THE EVIDENCE (The Gospel Of Jesus Christ Can Be Proved)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Hebrews 2:4 AMPC “[Besides this evidence] it was also established and plainly endorsed by God, Who showed His approval of it by signs and wonders and various miraculous manifestations of [His] power and by imparting the gifts of the Holy Spirit [to the believers] according to His own will.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Years ago, as a young teenager studying the message of Jesus Christ and what He came to do, I thought: if Jesus needed to prove His message with miracles, signs and wonders, and the apostles followed suit, then I would need to do even more because I was going to be preaching to a generation that didn’t know about those miracles. I would need to prove to them that Jesus Christ is alive; He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. If I couldn’t prove it, how would I convince them?

God wants us to be able to prove the message of the Gospel. That’s why He calls us witnesses. The Bible says, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

Who’s a witness? It’s someone who has proof, not just hearsay; he or she has firsthand evidence. When you received the Holy Spirit, you received power—ability to bear witness of His truth, death and resurrection. With this power, you can do the same things Jesus did. It was this very power of the Holy Spirit that worked in Him to do the works of God.

Jesus effected changes, and now you can too, because you have His Name and His power is at work in you. His Spirit and life in us is proof that He was who He claimed to be: the son of God. Jesus Christ is alive, and we must prove it with miracles, signs and wonders. As you take the Gospel to your world today, go with the consciousness that you’ve been given power to produce proof that Jesus is alive. Praise God!

MAKE THE WORD PERSONAL! (Personalise God’s Word)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
James 1:21 AMPC “So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
There are people who go to church but never think the message being preached is addressed to them. They always feel the pastor is referring to someone else, especially if he’s correcting something negative. Take for example, Susan and Maggie who had a row the previous day. Now they’re in church, and it happens that the pastor is addressing envy, strife, and malice. Susan suddenly feels justified and starts casting conceited glances at Maggie that say, “Hope you’re listening.”

That’s a wrong approach to the Word of God by Susan. The message came for both of them, but Susan missed the blessing because she didn’t personalise the Word. She kept thinking it wasn’t her but Maggie who needed to hear what the pastor had to say. Whenever you’re in church and God’s Word is coming to you, always personalise it and receive it for yourself. Don’t sit there wishing someone who offended you is listening to what the pastor is preaching; receive the Word for yourself.

Similarly, don’t only pay attention to the topics you like and ignore the ones that don’t quite go down well with you. The Bible says “Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action)” (2 Timothy 3:16 AMPC). So, whether the preacher is sharing an exciting message on prosperity or correcting a wrong attitude through the Word, take it as God’s Word for you.

KNOW THE REAL “YOU” (Recognise Your New Identity

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 4:23-24 “…Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“So, Tim thinks he can just quit on us like that; we all know what he did last week with Ian,” Becky fumed when she heard Tim said he was no longer a part of “The Clique.” What she didn’t understand was that Tim encountered the Lord at a birthday party the previous weekend, received Christ and got filled with the Holy Spirit. He wasn’t the same old Tim; he had a new identity.

When you were born again, you were recreated in righteousness and true holiness. Unlike the unregenerate man, you’re fully awakened to the fact that God is now your Father; you’re alive to Him. 1 John 3:2 says, “Beloved, now we are children of God....” You’re in a sonship relationship with the Lord; you’re born of Him. That’s the meaning of 1 John 4:4: “You are of God, little children…”; you hail from Him; your origin is in Him. Hallelujah!

Peter calls us partakers of the divine nature (associates of the God-kind). You’ve put on the Godnature, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of God that created you (Colossians 3:10). This is your true identity. Walk in this light. You’re not the same person you were before you were born again.

That’s why the Bible says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV). The old sin-nature was completely replaced with God’s life of righteousness. People may still associate you with some of the wrong things you did before you were born again, but the truth is the person that did those things doesn’t exist anymore. What the Bible says about you now is that you are washed, sanctified, justified, in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God (1 Corinthians 6:11). Hallelujah!

GOD’S NEW HOME (Your Heart Is His New Altar)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 17:24 CEV “This God made the world and everything in it. He is Lord of heaven and earth, and he doesn’t live in temples built by human hands.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Many people still love to designate special “altars” where they “meet with God,” whether it’s a particular room in their house or a corner of the living room. While having moments of privacy with the Lord is essential, creating “special altars” is not a necessity today. We are now His living tabernacles; your heart is His new altar.

In the Old Testament, they built altars for worshipping the Lord, and these altars served as places where they met with God and received divine direction. For instance, Jacob returned to Bethel, where he first built an altar to the Lord (Genesis 35:3). Genesis 8:20 tells us about Noah, who “… built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.” However, this was the old order.

Today, where you are is where the altar is, for the altar is in the temple, and you’re the temple of the living God (2 Corinthians 6:16 NIV): “…For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ‘I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.’” 1 Corinthians 3:16 says, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”

Everywhere you are is the place of His presence. You can pray in your room, speak in tongues in the kitchen, and worship in the Spirit even in the bathroom! Anyone who comes in contact with you encounters divinity because you are a carrier of God, the home of His presence. Hallelujah!

NO NEED FOR ANXIETY (Worry Makes Things Worse)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Philippians 4:6-7 TLB “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Zack, why aren’t concerned? You’ve just been given a poor prognosis, yet you’re smiling! Shouldn’t you be anxious right now?” Felicia inquired.

“Nope, I choose not to worry because it won’t solve anything. I’m a child of the King, and I know how to handle the situation,” Zack calmly responded. And after speaking in tongues for a bit and uttering God’s Word to himself, he left the hospital radiant with faith and joy.

Don’t you just like the fact that, as a Christian, you’re not supposed to worry over anything? It takes the stress out of life. Worrying only makes things worse. Recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:27 (TPT): “So, which one of you by worrying could add anything to your life?” Refuse to worry about your school fees. Refuse to worry about your health. Refuse to worry about anything!

Some people believe until they’re worried and flustered, God won’t do anything about their situation. What they don’t know is that worry actually short-circuits the power of God in one’s life. If worrying had any positive effects, God would have said, “Be worried; in fact, be very worried!” But He never said that. Rather, He said, “…Forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘...what will we wear?’ For that is what the unbelievers chase after. Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require?” (Matthew 6:31-32 TPT).

Worry is a “...fiery dart of the wicked” (Ephesians 6:16); so, when it attacks you, repel it. Use the Word against it. Every day, be resolute that you’re going to practise God’s Word. His Word says, “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the centre of your life” (Philippians 4:6-7 MSG). Hallelujah!

PAY ATTENTION! (Don’t Ignore The Spirit)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Isaiah 63:9-10 “In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the Angel of His Presence saved them; in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bore them and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; so He turned Himself against them as an enemy, and He fought against them.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in your life is one of the greatest blessings you have as a child of God. He’s your advantage and the secret to a glorious and successful life. So you must recognise and take advantage of His ministry in your life.

It’s the ministry of the Holy Spirit to guide and lead you in all your affairs; it’s His ministry to grant you the wisdom and counsel you need to win every day. Consciously acknowledge His presence with you and in you, and learn to yield to Him always. Never ignore His counsel. The Bible says in Isaiah 30:21, “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.”

Whose voice do you think that is? It’s the voice of the Holy Spirit! He speaks to us daily on life’s issues through God’s Word, but many ignore His counsel because His voice is never harsh against us. Perhaps you talked to someone rudely and the Holy Spirit corrected you, be quick to heed His correction and make amends. Otherwise, His voice that used to be clear to you may soon become faint and distant if you continually ignore Him. Make up your mind to live your life in a way that brings honour to the Holy Spirit. Appreciate His presence in your life, and you’ll be glad you did.

EVERYTHING IS UNDER YOUR FEET (You’re Above All Things)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 1:22 AMPC “And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church].”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The Bible declares that God has placed all things under the feet of Jesus—an incredibly powerful and profound truth. If all things are under Jesus’ feet, it means they are also under the Church, which is His body. Jesus is the head, and the Bible refers to the Church as ‘the fullness of Him’ (Ephesians 1:23). This implies that without the Church, Jesus is incomplete in this world.

Think of your physical body: your head is at the top, followed by the rest of your body, right down to your feet. Regardless of your position or what you stand on, even the lowest part of your body—the tips of your toes—is above your standing point or what you’re standing on.

So, when the Bible says God has placed all things under the feet of Jesus and made Him the head over all things for the sake of His body, the Church, it means that, as a member of the body of Christ, it doesn’t matter what role you occupy in the Body or what place you hold in the Body of Christ. As long as you’re in Christ, you’re above all things.

My sincere desire is that every member of the Body of Christ will understand this truth. In the Body of Christ, no one is insignificant. Even if you think you’re insignificant, you’re still above all things. This has nothing to do with your own might or ability; it’s the result of who you are—a member of the body of Christ. You’re above sickness and disease, above Satan, darkness, and death. You’re above the deception, corruption, falsehood, and crippling influences that afflict people’s lives in this natural world. You’re above the world!

Always remember who you are; as Jesus is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17). Just as He is seated in dominion and great glory, far above all principalities, powers, might, and every name that is named, not only in this world but also in that which is to come, so are you. Therefore, reign and rule over the world, for He has placed all things under your feet. Hallelujah!

LIVE IN HIS INFALLIBLE NAME (What It Means To Live In The Name Of Jesus)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Colossians 3:17 NASB “Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The Name of Jesus never fails. No wonder Paul said, whatever you do in speech or deed, do all in the Name of the Lord Jesus. To do all things in the Name of Jesus doesn’t mean that when you want to clean your shoes or floor, for example, you say, “I clean these shoes in the Name of Jesus” or “I wipe this floor in Jesus’ Name”; no!

What it means is that you’re to live your life in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In all situations and circumstances, your life proclaims the Name of Jesus Christ; you live as His representative. You live your life every day in and with the consciousness of the power, glory, and dominion of His Name.

When you do this, you won’t struggle with some health troubles; your life will be an unending stream of blessings and the supernatural. You’ll have no consciousness of need because the power and glory of His Name make all things right with you, for you, and in you.

The question is, “How do you live in His Name and as His representative?” It’s simple: first, become conscious of His life in you. 1 John 5:11 says, “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.” This life is both death-proof and disease-proof! Secondly, never live in fear. Live with boldness.

The Bible says, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18). If before now, you were always attacked by fear, from now on, say, “I refuse to fear. I live in boldness, in the Name of Jesus.”

It makes no difference what you face in life; in His Name, you’re a victor; you’re triumphant forever. In His Name, you live above circumstances and the perils of this world. His Name is a strong tower; you were born into it to live therein. Hallelujah! Have this consciousness.

YOU’VE OVERCOME THE WORLD! (You’ve Been Declared Victorious Over This Evil World)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 John 5:4 AMPC “For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
A similar verse to our opening scripture is 1 John 4:4; it says, “…You are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world” (AMPC). We also read something just as inspiring and enthralling from Peter in his second letter: “By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:4).

How about Paul the apostle? Read what he pens for us by the Spirit in Romans 8:35-39: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword… Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

The apostles, in stating these truths, were affirming the life we have in Christ—a life of victory and dominion over Satan, the world, and its systems. The Christian is unconquerable. You’re a victor in Christ Jesus; you rule and reign in life through Him. You could never fail. Hallelujah!

Jesus said, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19). In Mark 16:18, He said you shall take up serpents, and if you drink any deadly thing, it’ll have no effect on you. When you lay hands on the sick, they shall recover. What a life you have today!

You have overcome the world. Distressing situations may come from the enemy, but be unflustered; in Christ, you’ve already been made triumphant! Train yourself in this victory consciousness. Hallelujah!

FAN AFLAME YOUR LOVE EMBERS (Doing The Word Proves Your Love For Jesus)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 14:15 MSG “If you love me, show it by doing what I’ve told you.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Everything in the universe is about Jesus. He’s the embodiment and fullest revelation of God’s love! He’s the crown jewel of heaven and the joy of the Father’s heart. Therefore, your love for the Lord Jesus ought to be with all your heart; always fan aflame the embers of your love for Him. Let your love and commitment to Him be revealed in the way you talk, the things you do, and the way you conduct your life! Love Him passionately! Love Him beyond just talking about and singing to Him. Make Him your primary focus, for nothing else satisfies or will ever satisfy.

In our opening verse, Jesus didn’t say, “If you love me, sing to me or pray to me.” He said, “If you love me, show it by doing what I’ve told you.” The proof of your love for Him is your submission to His Word. The proof of your love for Him is in doing what He told you to do. Thus, in demonstrating your love for Jesus, you do His Word.

Now, the pivotal question is, “Do you know His Word?” This is why you must study and meditate on the Scriptures continually. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

This is a call to the knowledge of His Word. Through fellowship, the Holy Spirit will flood your heart with the revelation of Jesus—the living Word—so you can know and keep His Word and thus prove your love for Him.

WALK WITH GOD (Please Him With Your Daily Walk Of Faith)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Genesis 5:21-22 “Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
What we read in our opening scripture tells you the kind of man Enoch was; he was a prophet of God. He was the prophet of God who saw the vision of the Lord’s coming with ten thousands of His saints (Jude 1:14-15). Hebrews 11:5 says, ‘By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.’

Enoch was caught up to heaven alive and never died. The Bible says that before his translation into heaven, he had the testimony that he pleased God. How do you please God? The way to please God is walking by faith, for the Bible says, “Without faith, it’s impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6). You can tell today whether or not you’re pleasing the Lord; the question you need to answer is, “Are you walking by faith or by sensory perceptions?”

Faith is acting on the Word; it’s doing God’s Word. Enoch knew he pleased God because he was a doer of the Word. James 1:22 says, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” It’s akin to what Jesus said in John 14:15: “If you love me, keep my commandments.” The way to show you love God is doing His Word, and faith works by love.

Learn to walk in the light of God’s Word. In Colossians 1:10 NIV, Paul by the Spirit, prayed, “…that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.” This is fulfilled in your life as you live every day by faith, for the just shall live by faith, hallelujah!

THINK INNOVATIVELY (You’re As Creative And Innovative As God Is)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“How do you always come up with these creative, world-class clothing designs?” Paula asked her friend, Nathan.

“The Holy Spirit lives in me, and He inspires my creativity, Paula,” he responded.

As God’s child, you’ve got a calling to lead and blaze new trails in whatever field of endeavour you’re involved in, be it music, arts, IT, sports, agriculture, education, organisation, administration, etc. Yes, that’s God’s plan. And one of the amazing benefits of having the Holy Spirit in your life is that He makes you creative and innovative. He opens your eyes to see what others don’t see and your ears to hear what they don’t hear. He anoints your eyes to see the right things and your mind to understand and conceive lofty ideas.

That’s the kind of man David was. The power of God came on him when Samuel anointed him to become king of Israel, and he turned out to be a marvel in his day. When he faced Goliath of Gath, he came to the battlefront with something new; he came with an innovation. His weapons weren’t sophisticated; they were simple but markedly different from what was expected. The sling he used wasn’t new to the Jews. In fact, as you read the Bible, you’ll find others who could use those weapons better than David. But none of them thought that a sling and some smooth stones would be enough to defeat Goliath. Only David thought it would, through God.

That’s innovation—thinking differently, thinking through God’s ability. That’s what God expects from you. Our opening verse says you were “…created in Christ Jesus for good works….” Hallelujah! We were created to be ingenious, to think new, and to think fresh. He can guide you to come up with something new from something old, from an existing idea. Take advantage of the person, power and ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life. He’s your advantage. He causes you to see, think, say and do things at a superior and supernatural level. His ideas are unbeatable and the best; they win all the time. Hallelujah!

AS DIVINE AS JESUS IS! (Recognise And Affirm Your Divinity)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Our opening verse isn’t a promise; it’s a law. It’s just like 2 Corinthians 5:17 that says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” This verse and our opening verse aren’t promises from God; they are the sovereign declarations of God.

The one who’s born again is a new creation; he or she has the life and nature of God. Being born again, your human life was replaced by the life and nature of God. Now, your body houses a new type of life that’s unsusceptible and impregnable to sickness or disease. Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new! If you don’t know about this new life, you’ll never put it to work; you’ll be living the human life when you have the divine life in you.

Learn to activate the divine life within you by declaring and personalising the Word of God. Remember, the greatest miracles are performed with words. I wish you’d understand the power and energy of your words! The Bible says, ‘And the inhabitant will not say, “I am sick”…’ (Isaiah 33:24). Why? It’s because they’ve recognised and embraced their divinity.

The Bible says in 2 Peter 1:4, “By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature….” You’re an associate of a divine pantheon; you hail from deity; your origin is divine. No wonder Jesus said, ‘Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’ (John 10:34). Recognise and affirm your divinity; practise it every day, glory to God!

NO CONFUSION WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT! (The Holy Spirit: The One Who Enlightens You Always)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 2:12 “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The Spirit of God, through the Apostle Paul in our opening scripture, wasn’t referring to mental knowledge but spiritual knowledge—revelation knowledge. This means it’s possible for us to know the will of God for our lives. The Bible says spiritual things can only be spiritually understood: “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14).

When your spirit is enlightened by God’s Word through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, you’re able to know God’s will and purpose. The guidance of the Holy Spirit is so important in our lives. He guides your steps and grants you understanding of the Word. With Him, you’re never at a crossroads. Knowing Him and walking with Him is the key to that successful life you’ve always desired. He brings you into your inheritance and your destiny in God. Hallelujah!

If you aren’t sure about God’s perfect will on any matter, give some time to praying in the Spirit. He’s the embodiment of all knowledge. Ask Him, and He’ll reveal the knowledge or guidance you need to your spirit. You can do the same with respect to your family, your education; you can activate His ministry in your life and He’ll teach you how to be the best at what you do. He’ll grant you an extraordinary amplitude of comprehension and supernatural sagacity to excel in all that you do. He’ll make your thought pattern excellent; your ingenuity, creativity, intuition, sharp-wittedness will be limitless!

Remember the words of Jesus in John 14:26. He assured us, “…He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” With the Holy Spirit, you can never walk in darkness or be confused about anything. He’ll help you retain knowledge and information in your spirit and bring that information to your consciousness when occasion demands. Hallelujah!

WHAT’S YOUR VEHICLE OF LIFE? (Wherever You Find Yourself, Win Others To The Lord)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Well, since the Lord is coming soon, I don’t think there’s any need for me to go to school,” Grant muttered to himself. He kept thinking like this till the Holy Spirit led him to read the message Apostle Paul gave young Timothy: “Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine” (1 Timothy 4:13).

Sometimes, when we talk about the coming of the Lord being so much closer now than ever, some have asked, “In that case, is there any need for me to still go to school or start a career?” When people ask such questions, it’s evident they’re missing something. What they’re missing is the urgency of the moment, the earnestness of making His message known.

Going to school or starting a new career are all opportunities to reach others with the Gospel. We call them chariots, “vehicles” of life. The word “nations” in our opening verse is “ethnos” in Greek, and it doesn’t just mean “countries”; it refers to social or taxonomic divisions of people. And these may be broken into various ethno-systems.

For example, there’re ‘student nations,’ ‘career nations,’ ‘neighbourhood nations’; all the students of a particular university, an association of engineers, or artists, or residents of a community, etc. Are you a student? Your student community is a nation, with respect to the definition of our opening verse. You become the preacher in your world.

As a young boy many years ago, I was inspired to win fellow students to Christ, and I did! I went beyond my school to other schools, holding conferences with students. I preached among the youth groups, and many of them were won to Christ. Hallelujah!

Our faith in Jesus and our expectation of His imminent return make us even more passionate to do more. We’re even more determined to do the things we’ve been doing better, and in a brighter light—in the light of His coming. We become directed and more focused, using the opportunity of our “nations” to reach more people with greater urgency.

SIN-FREE, DEATH-FREE (You Are Free From Death And From Sin)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 8:2 “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
When you read today’s opening verse as it’s presented, you’re likely to think it’s talking about the law of “sin and death” as one entity. But that’s not what the Spirit is communicating to us here. He’s actually referring to the law of sin on the one hand, and to death on the other. For clarity, we could rearrange the words and the verse would read: “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from ‘death’ and ‘the law of sin’” (Romans 8:2).

When you read it this way, it suddenly opens up and the meaning becomes very clear: it’s not “the law of sin and death” but “the law (or principle) of sin” on the one hand, and “death” on the other. This means the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made you death-free in the same way that it made you sin-free! Hallelujah! This law of the Spirit of life or law of life is also referred to as the law of liberty in James 1:25 and James 2:12.

John said, “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you… that you may know that you have eternal life…” (1 John 5:12-13). This (eternal) life is in the Son, and since you have it, you’re not supposed to struggle with sin, sickness, disease, infirmities and death.

Think about this: at 120 years, Moses’ eyes weren’t dim and his natural force was unabated (Deuteronomy 34:7). Moses lived under the Old Covenant, but he had a consciousness of life; He knew the Word of God invigorates and makes alive (Deuteronomy 32:46-47). Have the same mentality, because when you were born again, you passed from death to life and from sin into righteousness. Hallelujah!

WHAT’S WORSHIP ABOUT? (The Practical Understanding Of Worship)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 4:24 AMPC “God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).”

▶️ LET’S TALK
In the New Testament, it may surprise you to know that the term “worship” is hardly applied to Christians. While it appears in the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), it’s crucial to note that Jesus primarily dealt with Jews in the gospels, not Christians. The Book of Acts mentions “worship” about four times, and on none of those occasions is it directly applied to the Church.

Moving forward, you’ll find the term used only once in First Corinthians and twice in Hebrews. However, in the Book of Revelation, “worship” is employed approximately 22 times. “How could such a thing that we say is so important be missing in the epistles?” you may wonder. The reason is that in the epistles, the Lord provides a practical understanding of worship, and shows us precisely what it is.

Recall that in John 4:24 KJV, He stated, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship (Greek: proskuneō) him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” In Romans 1:9: “For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son…,” instead of using the term “worship,” the Apostle Paul employs the specific phrase that aligns with Jesus’ words in John 4:24: “serve with my spirit.”

Serving God with your spirit includes worship because worship in the New Testament is different from worship in the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, it was mostly outward in nature. But in the New Testament, worship is spiritual, even when we have outward demonstrations of it.

This is why it’s important to understand that what matters in the worship isn’t that we worshipped; it’s whether the One that we worshipped accepted it. There’s a conditioning of your spirit through the Word of God and fellowship with the Holy Spirit, that makes you a worshipper. The Father seeks such to worship Him.

SEE IT, SPEAK IT (Take A Hold Of God’s Provisions For You In Christ Jesus)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The Apostle Paul was letting us know in our opening verse that we’ve been blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ. He strengthens the thought further in 1 Corinthians 3:21 when he says, “…all things are yours.” In the same vein, the Apostle Peter tells us that God’s “…divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3).

It’s one thing to know that you’ve been blessed with and in all things, but it’s another thing to actually take possession of the blessings. The key is connecting with your faith; that’s what Abraham did. In Genesis 17:5, God said to him, “…I have made you a father of many nations.” Abraham connected with his faith; he had to see with the eyes of his mind.

The Bible says Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. He believed because he had visualised the reality of his children as he attempted to number the stars (Genesis 15:5). By faith, he saw and accepted the reality of God’s Word in his spirit, spoke it forth, and it came to pass.

Romans 4:20-22 says, ‘He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”’

Learn to visualise and take a hold of God’s provisions for you in Christ Jesus. Refuse to stagger at God’s Word through unbelief; take a hold of your blessings first in the spirit, and speak them forth.

ONLY ONE FAITH! (Believe This: Jesus Christ Gave His Life For Everybody)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 4:4-6 ESV “There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Consider this: Jesus Christ is the only One sent to save humanity. While religious leaders engaged in wars, killing and forcing people to accept their beliefs, Jesus took a different path. He sacrificed His own life for all. Think about that! Who would you think loves you? The one who punished and killed others for not listening to him or the one who gave His life for them so they could live? Jesus gave His life in your place for you to know that you’re valuable to God.

Maybe you’re reading this and you’ve never been born again; you must understand this: Salvation comes through no other name or means except by Jesus Christ: “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Since there’s no salvation in any other, there couldn’t be “other faiths” like some people think.

We read it in our opening verse; there’s “one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all….” And 1 Corinthians 8:6 says, “…For us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.” In John 14:6, Jesus was unequivocal when He said, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” He used the definite article “the”; He didn’t say, “I’m a way” or “one of the ways.”

This is why we preach the Gospel; it’s so that everybody may know that Jesus gave His life for them; mankind is no longer lost. Now they can hear it, be saved, and be prepared for the soon return of the Lord, Jesus Christ. And we must keep at it until He comes!

RIGHTEOUSNESS MAKES YOU AUDACIOUS (Understand The Emboldening Power Of Righteousness)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 3:22 “Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
When God wanted to judge the excessively sinful city of Sodom, Abraham presented a bold argument before Him. He said to God, “Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Genesis 18:25). Wow! How could a man have such incredible audacity to speak to God like that?

He wasn’t trying to be disrespectful or impudent; no! He was expressing the power of the gift of righteousness from God Himself. Genesis 15:6 tells us, “And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.” Hallelujah! It was with the gift of righteousness that Abraham was able to intercede for Sodom when God wanted to destroy the city. God had said, “...Shall I hide from Abraham [My friend and servant] what I am going to do” (Genesis 18:17 AMPC).

The Bible says Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness, and he was called the friend of God (James 2:23). As a result of his faith, righteousness was bestowed on Abraham as a gift, and he could boldly engage God in an intercessory discourse.

Righteousness enables you to stand in the presence of God without a sense of condemnation or inferiority. This righteousness, according to our opening verse, is “to all and on all.” That’s to let you understand the bestowal—the imputation of God’s righteousness to all men—the legal perspective of this righteousness. With this gift, you can decree a thing and have it established unto you.

Our righteousness is on the basis of a legal claim, yet because many aren’t aware they struggle with their faith, not sure whether or not their petitions would be granted. But when you stand on His righteousness, you have no such doubts, because you have the pass! Your claims can’t be refused, because you stand in the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Glory to God!
