EXPRESS GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS (Keep Displaying His Righteous Nature In You)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 1:30 NIV “It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Righteousness is the nature of God in you, producing in you the rightness of God: the ability to do right and fulfil the will of the Father. God is always right; it’s His nature to be right. This nature of righteousness is at work in us. So in our kingdom, we do righteousness; we walk in righteousness and do works of righteousness; we manifest the goodness of God to the world. It was for the same reason that the Pharisees and Sadducees had a problem with the good works that Jesus did; they misunderstood Him. If, at school, for example, you did something you thought was good and required commendation but instead found yourself being persecuted for your good works, don’t feel bad about it.

Just because you’re good and doing the right thing doesn’t mean everybody is going to be cheering you on. There might be those who’ll resist you and try to make you swerve from your path; they might even call you evil in spite of your good works. Maintain your composure. Refuse to change. Stay on course with the Word of God in your heart and in your mouth.

Remember, you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; therefore, it’s your calling to express His righteousness. See yourself that way, regardless of the pressures and challenges that may tend to provoke you to compromise. See yourself just as the Word says: “...Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4); this means that you’re greater than your adversaries, detractors, and persecutors. You’re a victor forever. Stay in the Word and keep manifesting His righteousness, no matter the criticism, and you’ll always win. Hallelujah!

🔊 Pray
Dear Father, I thank you for making me a victor for life and granting me the grace to reign in life, and I live for your glory. Righteousness and goodness are the hallmarks of my life; therefore, I express righteousness and walk in your perfect will today and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

BE FULL OF GREAT JOY (In Your Darkest Hours, Express Your Joy)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 8:7-8 “For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
When Philip, the evangelist, preached Christ in the city of Samaria, the power of God’s Word prevailed so much that many were healed and set free from demons. The result was that the city erupted in great joy. Another time, Paul and Silas were cast into prison and persecuted for preaching the Gospel. Nevertheless, “at midnight” (it doesn’t get darker than it gets at midnight), they prayed and sang praises to God, and the other prisoners heard them (Acts 16:25). They expressed their joy, and the result was a supernatural prison break!

God shook up the prison, broke their bands, and flung the gates open. They remained joyful in adversity and gave expression to their joy. So, what are the expressions of joy? Well, laughter is an expression of joy. Praising God—being jubilant and enthusiastic with praise to Him—is another expression of joy. Singing songs of praise in thanksgiving is an expression of joy. The Bible says, “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms” (James 5:13).

Joy is one of the fruits of the recreated human spirit (Galatians 5:22); therefore, your joy as a child of God should be independent of circumstances. It shouldn’t be based on what’s happening to you or around you; it shouldn’t have anything to do with what others say or do to you.

You can be joyful in the midst of trouble. You must learn to give expression to your joy. Always be cheerful and exuberant with joy and praise to God, knowing that it takes a joyful and happy person to make others joyful and happy. If you’re not joyful, you can’t effectively preach the Gospel and win others to Christ.

THE KINGDOM TRANSFER (You’ve Been Transferred To The Kingdom Of The Lord Jesus Christ)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Colossians 1:13 AMPC “[The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Our opening scripture says we’ve been delivered— transferred and translated—from the jurisdiction of darkness into the Kingdom of God’s Love-Son. That’s your current place of domicile. You’re far above principalities and powers—vitally and effectively superior to Satan and the demons of hell! Until and unless this becomes your present our consciousness, perception, and outlook on life, you’ll live a life that’s far lower than your calling in Christ.

Here’s something I did many years ago that I recommend you do for yourself: get your notepad or diary and write as a title, “Why I have power over devils.” Then, get into the Bible and write out every scripture you can find about Jesus, who He is, and who you are in Him! You’d be amazed and inspired by what you’d discover about Jesus Christ, the power He’s given you, and your exalted place in Him.

How is He? He is the effulgence of the Father’s glory. He is glory personified. Who is He? He’s Himself, God! Where is He? He’s at the place of the highest honour and supreme authority in the heavenly realm: “...He is exalted as first above every ruler, authority, government, and realm of power in existence! He is gloriously enthroned over every name that is ever praised, not only in this age but in the age that is coming” (Ephesians 1:21 TPT). The most enthralling part of it all is that you’re in Him, gloriously enthroned with Him and exalted far above every ruler, authority, government, and realm of power in existence. Blessed be God!

🎯 Go Deeper
Colossians 1:12-13; Ephesians 1:21-23 TPT; Ephesians 2:6.

🔊 Speak
I live in the Kingdom of God’s Love-Son. That’s the realm into which I was born—a realm of glory and the miraculous, beyond time and space. I refuse to condescend to the earthly level of life or reasoning. I rule over demons and circumstances, dominating this physical world with the principles of our heavenly kingdom. Hallelujah!

WHAT’S THE EFFECT? (Faith: The Effect Of Righteousness)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Isaiah 32:17 “The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Our opening verse lists quietness and assurance as the effect of righteousness; that’s faith! Faith is the quiet or confident assurance that things favourably expected shall come to pass: “Faith is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen…” (Hebrews 11:1 TLB). This perfectly describes the effect of righteousness we read about in our opening verse. It could have simply read, “And the effect of righteousness shall be faith.”

In all of the Old Testament, the word “faith” appears only twice, and it wasn’t in connection with people demonstrating faith toward God. The first time it was used in the Old Testament was in Deuteronomy 32:20. The next time was Habakkuk 2:4: “…The just shall live by his faith,” a prophetic reference to the new creation. But now, faith has come! It’s our lifestyle. Being born again, we were born righteous, and the effect of righteousness is mountainmoving faith. Hallelujah!

Because of righteousness, you have power over every crisis; you rule over the elements and corrupting influences of this world. You can live without fear, worries, conflicts, and agitations. Isaiah 54:14 says, “In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.” Hallelujah!

No more fear or oppression in your life because you’re established in Christ’s righteousness. You’re no longer in the jurisdiction of darkness, of those who are oppressed by circumstances, situations, demon spirits, etc. You’ve been translated into the Kingdom of God’s Love-Son, the realm of blessings, dominion, and glory. Praise God!

FILL YOUR FAITH CLOUDS (Overcome Your World By Faith)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 John 5:4 “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“All grace is made available to me; I have the money for my A-level exam application,” affirmed Penelope as she got ready for class that morning.

“You’ve been saying this for weeks now, but it doesn’t seem like the money is coming,” remarked Natanya, her friend.

“Yes, it is! I’m filling my money clouds, and soon they will empty themselves on me,” replied Penelope.

Our opening verse above in the Amplified Classic version says, “For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.” It’s talking about faith from God, from His eternal Word to our spirit! That’s the faith that conquers the world!

Romans 12:3 KJV says, “…God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” Hallelujah! Then in Romans 10:17, it says, “…Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” This is why it’s important that you expose your spirit to the Word. The more you hear or study the Word, the more faith comes to you—faith to rule your world. With that faith, you have dominion over circumstances and victory over the world and its systems. However, faith not expressed won’t prevail. You express your faith in words and actions, for the Bible says faith speaks!

Rule your world with your faith-filled words. Your words have force; they have energy. If someone says to you, “But you’ve been speaking the Word for some time now, and nothing is changing,” remind them of what the Bible says: “If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth...” (Ecclesiastes 11:3).

Keep speaking the Word in faith and watering your clouds with prayers. As you do, the spiritual clouds become thick with spiritual water, and nothing can stop the downpour! Glory to God!

ALIVE BECAUSE OF CHRIST (Live In The Reality Of Your Christ-Life)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Galatians 2:20 NIV “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
What an overwhelmingly deep-seated conviction in our opening scripture! Christ is our life! Praise God! Just the thought alone causes the power of God to course through my being. We’re not ordinary anymore. When you accepted Christ, something amazing happened: God’s life and nature became a part of you. You no longer live with just a human life; you now have the life of Christ within you.

Paul reiterated this same thought in Colossians 3:10 when he said that, as new creations, we’ve put on the new man who’s been renewed in knowledge after the image of Christ. In other words, the more you learn about Him and experience Him in knowledge, the more He’s expressed in and through you. That’s Christian growth.

When the knowledge of Christ sinks deep into your spirit through meditation, it becomes your constant consciousness and way of life. It becomes your practice, experience, and way of life. How could anything go wrong with your liver, heart, or kidney when Christ is your life? That can’t happen!

The Bible says if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness—the life and nature of God in you (Romans 8:10). The depraved, broken human life has been supplanted by the Christ-life, which is the divine life of righteousness, honour, peace, and glory. Glory to God!

THE WORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (Practise Speaking Righteousness)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Hebrews 5:13 “For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Some versions of Hebrews 5:13 use words like “doctrine” and “teaching” instead of “word.” However, what’s being communicated in this verse is much higher; the phrase “word of righteousness” is “logos dikaiosune‌” (Greek), which, in fact, means “speaking righteousness” or a communication of righteousness.

To further understand this, we’ll examine how Jesus responded when He was tempted by Satan in Matthew 4: He quoted Scriptures each time but not as one who was responding from the standpoint of the Law. For example, when the Bible says, “You shall not steal” (Exodus 20:15), it was written to Israel as one of the commandments. But when you become a Christian, “You shall not steal” isn’t applicable to you! It doesn’t apply to you because of your recreated spirit. Does that mean you can steal? Of course not! In Christianity, you have a nature that doesn’t steal.

You’re of the higher class. You don’t live by the Law or commandments because the Bible says, “…The law is not made for a righteous person…” (1 Timothy 1:9). So, when the Lord Jesus said to Satan, “...It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone...’” (Matthew 4:4), He was describing His life; it was a description of His righteousness. Hallelujah!

Always, God expects you to respond with the Word as Jesus did. It’s not just about memorising the Scriptures so you can quote them; it’s about speaking righteousness and communicating in line with your new nature in Christ—who you are in Him.

Sometimes, in responding with the Word, the scripture you’re quoting might not be verbatim, but you’re aware that what you’re saying is consistent with God’s Word; the message goes to your spirit in the language of the Spirit. When you respond to Satan and life’s challenges like that, you’ll always be victorious! Praise God!

THE “PSEUDOCHRISTOS” (Be Vigilant And Refuse To Be Deceived)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Thessalonians 2:3 “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
In John 5:43, Jesus said, “I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.” The Lord Jesus was prophesying here about the “pseudo-christos”—a false Christ, one who falsely lays claim to the name and office of the Messiah.

The Lord did teach that there’d be false Christs and false prophets. In other parts of the Bible, like 1 John 2:18, the term used is “antichrist,” which is “antichristos” in Greek, meaning instead of Christ, against Christ, one who puts himself in the place of Christ or opposes Christ. This lines up with the “pseudo-christos.” So, when Jesus said, “…If another comes in his own name, him you will receive,” He knew what He was talking about.

The Bible tells us that this antichrist will be a deceiver and a liar, and that major religious leaders will endorse him. But that’s no surprise to us because there were people like that in Bible days who endorsed the false prophets and killed God’s prophets (Matthew 23:31). It’s the same in the world today; many have chosen to be deceived.

Satan’s modus operandi is based on deception and misrepresentations. Therefore, remain vigilant and alert in the spirit. Always go for the truth of God’s Word! The Bible says, “Don’t be fooled by those who speak their empty words and deceptive teachings telling you otherwise. This is what brings God’s anger upon the rebellious!” (Ephesians 5:6 TPT). We’re in the closing period of this present age; the Lord is coming soon. Be alert and ready!

WHAT KIND OF TREE ARE YOU? (Produce Fruits Of Righteousness)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Philippians 1:11 RSV “Filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Our opening verse is letting you know that if you’re righteous, you’ll have fruits of righteousness. Jesus said, when teaching the multitudes gathered to listen to Him, “...The way to identify a tree or a person is by the kind of fruit produced” (Matthew 7:20 TLB). You can’t have the fruits of something you’re not. An orange tree can only produce orange fruits. In John 15:5, Jesus said, “I am the vine, you are the branches….” And as common knowledge says, the beauty of a tree is in its branches.

You’re the fruit-bearing part of the vine, and you bear fruits of righteousness. That’s what your life is about: the manifestation of His righteousness. You’ve been established to produce fruits and works of righteousness, meaning that the things that come out of your life—your words and your actions—bring praise and glory to God.

Isaiah 61:3 calls us trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord of hosts that He might be glorified. The people of the world should see you and recognise the excellence and elegance of the Spirit. As Jesus opened blind eyes, unstopped deaf ears, healed the crippled, raised the dead, fed the hungry, comforted the afflicted, and spoke divine words to encourage and bless people, He was manifesting fruits of righteousness. And as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). Glory to His Name forever!

BOLD, BOASTFUL CONFESSIONS (Declare God’s Word Courageously)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Hebrews 13:5-6 ‘…For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”’

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Say this after me, guys,” Faith began to confess in front of her Care Group, “I am bold and courageous because the Greater One lives in me.”

After the meeting, Felix approached Faith and asked, “How are you so sure that what you said worked, Faith? I confessed the Word just as you did, but I still feel the same way as before.”

“Felix, we boldly declare what God said about us because His Word is truth. Don’t focus on your feelings; simply proclaim the Word courageously and trust that it works!”

The underlined portion in our opening verse today— “boldly say”—is “tharrheō legō” (Greek), and it means to “courageously declare.” “Legō” means to say or speak, but it also means to boast. God said something so that we could courageously declare or boastfully affirm the same thing. This is amazing!

That was exactly what Jesus did when He encountered Satan in Matthew 4. He said, “...It is written...” (Matthew 4:7). It shows us that the way to respond to life’s circumstances is with the Scriptures. For example, when you say, “Greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world,” you’re responding with the Word; you’re courageously affirming the Word.

That verse doesn’t exactly say, “Greater is He that is in me”; rather, it says, “Greater is he that is in you….” But in response, you personalise it; that’s when it becomes “Rhema.” Glory to God! God gave us the Scriptures so we could speak them forth. The Word of God created all things; therefore, everything in life responds to the spoken Word from your mouth. Here’s the principle: the Word is in your heart and in your mouth; you release the power of God into action in your behalf through speaking. Hallelujah!

HE’S YOUR SOLID ROCK (Build Your Life On The Firmest Foundation)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Psalm 18:2 NIV “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Lord Jesus, you’re my Rock, my refuge; in You, I find peace, strength, and protection. You are my wisdom and the source of my righteousness, the unshakeable foundation on which I stand,” sang Audrey as she strolled home from church. These song lyrics flowed from her lips amid the tears streaming down her cheeks; in spite of her present troubles, she’d received empowering words in church to confront the challenges and emerge victorious.

Like Audrey, there are several young people today faced with situations and circumstances. However, the only hope that works is Christ—the Word of God—the rock of our salvation (1 Corinthians 10:4). Anything that’s founded on Him is eternally fortified and unshakable.

It brings to mind the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:24-27. He said, “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it” (ESV).

That’s how your life is when you live in the Word of God. This is your heritage as one in Christ. You’re unconquerable. All things work together to produce blessings for you! You’re divinely protected because Christ is your rock and your fortress. It doesn’t matter the fiery darts and tempest from Satan; you’re unflustered and unscathed. Build your life, ministry, finances, academics, your relationships—all your endeavours—on the Word, and they’ll never crumble. Hallelujah!

THAT “THING” IS IN YOU! (Your Heart: The Origin Of All Things)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Proverbs 4:23 AMPC “Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Have you comprehended the truth that everything you could ever want in this life—the money, the new cell venue, college admission, that trendy phone or outfit, even that relationship, etc.—will come from your heart? It won’t come from anywhere else but from your spirit. That’s what our opening verse above communicates.

Remember, universal matter came from the heart of God; every “thing” was inside Him before He spoke it into being. You’re made in the image and likeness of God, meaning that you look like Him and function like Him. Therefore, everything you’ll ever need in your life will come out of you—out of your heart.

So, bring them forth from within you! The Bible says God has set eternity in our hearts: “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts…” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Your heart has the potential for infinite capabilities and possibilities. Think about it: if your heart can contain God (for He lives in your heart; you’re the temple of the Holy Spirit), then it means heaven and earth, life, success, victory, and joy—all the good things you could ever imagine or desire—are in your heart.

Being born again, you’re the ‘good man’ that the Lord Jesus talked about in Matthew 12:35. You’re the one to produce whatever God wants in the earth—we permit and bring forth only the things that are consistent with His perfect will. Our hearts or spirits scrutinise everything and decide that only the will of the Lord will be done in our world and upon the earth (Romans 12:2). Hallelujah!

IMITATE GOD (Live Like The Divine Being You Are)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 4:24 NIV “…Put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Just as a growing child learns to imitate and copy the parents in the way they walk, talk and behave, we’re to “imitate God” as His beloved children (Ephesians 5:1). It’s amazing that the life of God within us enables us to do just that. We have the ability to walk in absolute mastery and dominion on earth, just as Jesus did, because as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). When you’re born again, you’re born after the Second Adam, Jesus Christ; you’re created in righteousness and true holiness, just like Him. 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation….”

This new creation has the nature of God. That’s why you can please God and live a life like Christ’s. Think about it this way: no matter how much you train a dog to act like a human, it can never truly be human because it doesn’t have human life. To be human, you have to be born that way. Similarly, we’re Godlike and can imitate our heavenly Father because we were born with His life and nature in us. This is why we can do the same things Jesus did.

Jesus Himself said in John 14:12, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also….” You have the power to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons, just like Jesus did. He has given you authority in His Name. And not only that, we can imitate Him in our love-walk. Ephesians 5:2 says, “…Walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.” His nature within you enables you to show love to those around you, whether they deserve it or not. How awesome is that!

(Remain Triumphant In Adversities) IN SPITE OF ALL

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 8:35-37 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?... Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Sometimes, when people receive the life of Christ and become born again, they mistakenly assume they aren’t supposed to face any troubles, adversities, or persecutions. But the Bible did tell us to count it all joy when we go through “diverse tests”—tests and trials of different kinds (James 1:2). Tests, trials, and persecution are all part of the package, so we are never flustered by them because we’re more than conquerors. We are victors in Christ Jesus.

The devil will try to deceive and attack you. He prowls around, seeking someone to devour, but the Bible instructs you on how to respond: resist him with your faith! Ephesians 6:16 says to use the same faith—your shield of faith—to neutralise and extinguish Satan’s fiery darts: “In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the evil one!” (TPT).

We’re not on the defensive but on the offensive against Satan and his cohorts of darkness. We’re adequately fortified against their intense and continuous assaults, and we have dominion over them. Whether they are principalities, powers, or the rulers of the darkness of this world, they are subject to us in the Name of Jesus.

Keep living in the victory of Christ. Dominate your world, dominate your environment, and give Satan no chance. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:27 to give no place to the devil. Remember, Jesus gave us the power to cast out demons. Therefore, use that authority in His Name and subdue the evil and wicked one.

That’s what Jesus said to do: “These signs will accompany those who have believed; in My name they will cast out demons…” (Mark 16:17 NASB). It’s the first of the things He said we could do in His Name. Give God praise for this awesome authority!

FREE THEM FROM CORRUPTION (Preserve Your Environment With Words Of Blessing)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 8:19-21 “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Studying the book of Genesis, it’s clear that the whole of creation was put under bondage at the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3). As a result, death, failure, decay, and every negative thing came into the world. People began to age, fall sick, and die. It became possible for things to decay and be corrupted. This was until Jesus came and saved the whole world—not just the world of men but the mountains, seas, animals, etc. The Bible says He bought the whole field (Matthew 13:44), and the field is the world.

Now, He has given us the responsibility of preaching the Gospel to every creature: “...Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). Notice He didn’t say “to all human beings” but “to every creature.” This means God has given you the responsibility to take charge of the earth by speaking words of blessing to it. Remember, God said to Abraham, “…And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 26:4). You’re the seed of Abraham; therefore, you’re blessed, and you carry a blessing. Where you go, God goes, and what you bless is blessed!

Everything around you is groaning, eagerly waiting to be delivered from the bondage of this world into the glorious liberty of the sons of God. And you have arrived on the scene to distribute the blessing, and you do it through your words. By speaking words of blessing to the world, you protect and preserve it from damage and corruption.

THE GLORIFIED LIFE (The Life Of Glory Is Yours Now)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 8:30 AMPC “…Those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Do you know that Christianity is a call to a life of glory, righteousness, greatness, honour, and peace? It’s a present-day reality. We have the Christ-life—the glorified life of Christ—in us now! Think about it: if Christ is your life, then everything about your life should be absolutely divine. How, then, could you be said to have an incurable ailment?

Colossians 3:3–4 NASB tells us something super sublime; it says, “For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.” There was a replacement of your natural human life by His divine life. The Lord Jesus took your depraved, defeated, destroyed, and broken human life away from you and gave you a life of glory and righteousness.

The darkness, misery, infirmities, and pains that were associated with your old human life have all passed away. You’re now in a new environment—the environment of His glory and righteousness. That’s why your life is full of glory, and you produce fruits and works of righteousness. Have and walk in this consciousness. Be full of faith and confidence, knowing that your life is the expression and manifestation of these truths. Hallelujah!

FUEL YOUR PASSION (Spread The Good News Everywhere)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 1:16 AMPC “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
As a child of God, you must be passionate about soul-winning; it must burn in your heart to take the Gospel to the lost. You’re the custodian of the Gospel. It’s therefore your divine responsibility to publish it around the world. When you understand that Jesus is the only way, you’ll stand up for the Gospel. The Apostle Paul in Acts 13:38-39 said, “Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.” There is no option to the Gospel.

No wonder David said, “Send us around the world with the news of your saving power...” (Psalm 67:2 TLB). In David’s day, the Gospel hadn’t come fully, but he had insight into the revelation of Christ the Messiah. The time hadn’t come, and the redemptive work of Christ hadn’t been consummated, but Christ has now come. He has died, risen, and now lives in our hearts. Hallelujah!

No Christian is left out of the instruction to preach the Gospel. It should be your passion! Fuel your passion for the Gospel. Keep preaching and talking to others about Jesus. Share the Gospel continually with those who are also fired up in their spirits for the Gospel and intercede in prayer for the lost who are yet to hear the Word of salvation.

THE LORD IS THE SPIRIT (The Holy Spirit Is God’s Essence)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 3:17 AMPC “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom).”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Think about this: The same Spirit by which Jesus cast out devils, healed the sick, raised the dead, and did all the amazing miracles that He did lives in you today. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God; He doesn’t receive power from God; He’s the POWER of God! He’s the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father.

The Holy Spirit isn’t less than the Father, nor is He less than Jesus. The Bible says it was He who raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11). This Holy Spirit has also vitalised your previously death-prone body. Your body is now His temple (1 Corinthians 6:19). Hallelujah! What does this mean for you?

It means if ever your body is afflicted, if any anomaly surfaces in your body, it’ll be taken care of by the Holy Spirit. He perambulates in you to ensure nothing goes wrong in or with your physical body. This is the reality! So, every so often, activate His power in you by speaking in tongues and affirming His Word.

You don’t have to attend “revival” meetings to activate the power of the Spirit. Just start declaring His word concerning your life, and before long, His divine power will course through your being. Praise God!

A LIFE OF PRAISE (Sanctified To Praise The Lord)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Chronicles 20:21 AMPC “When he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers to sing to the Lord and praise Him in their holy [priestly] garments as they went out before the army, saying, Give thanks to the Lord, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!”

▶️ LET’S TALK
1 Peter 2:9 says, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” That’s our calling right there: it’s to a life of praise. We’re sanctified to praise the Lord.

Our praise is a weapon against the adversary. Recall what happened with Jehoshaphat: three enemy nations allied against Judah. But Jehoshaphat organised with the people and put the singers in front of the army. The Bible says, “And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir who had come against Judah, and they were [self-] slaughtered” (2 Chronicles 20:22 AMPC). That’s the power of sanctified praise.

There are battles you win with praise. Read Acts 16:25– 26 and see how Paul and Silas were supernaturally delivered from their captors as they praised the Lord. In the New Testament, we’re the circumcision that worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh (Philippians 3:3). We are the ones He’s sanctified to offer Him true worship. It’s the reason we can worship Him in spirit and in truth.

We often have our Praise Night Services, where, as a global audience, we pour out our hearts in worship and praise to the Lord for His love, goodness, grace, and wondrous works. COME AS YOU ARE (God Loves The Sinner And Justifies The Ungodly)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Corinthians 5:17 ESV “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Melissa, what are you doing this Sunday? Come to church with me,” Sarah invited.

“Um, I don’t think so. I’ve got a score to settle with God,” Melissa replied.

“What score? Come on, just come as you are because He loves you the way you are.”

Do you know God the Father isn’t waiting for any unbeliever to settle scores with Him or change their old ways before coming to Him? Contrary to what many think, it doesn’t take much to be born again. All He requires of that individual is to come into Christ. Romans 10:9 says, “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” That’s all that’s necessary. Once the unbeliever comes into Christ, he becomes a new creation, just as our opening scripture says.

If you’re not born again today, God’s not judging you or holding anything against you. On the contrary, He wants you saved. It doesn’t matter how you’ve lived your life because God justifies the ungodly. 2 Corinthians 5:19 TLB says, “...God was in Christ, restoring the world to himself, no longer counting men’s sins against them but blotting them out. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others.” How gracious the Lord is!

He loved us even when we were dead in sin: “...God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Romans 4:5 ESV also shows us that, “...to the one who does not work but believes in him (God) who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness.”

This is the Gospel: it’s about Christ Jesus and His great love for all humanity! It’s about the eternal life and righteousness that He’s freely made available to all, which becomes a vital reality in the life of the one who accepts this truth by confessing the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

FULL OF GOODIES! (God’s Goodness Is In The Earth)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Psalm 33:5 NASB “…The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“I’m just tired, Murphy,” Curtis complained. “Every day, there’s always bad news online.”

“Yeah, Curtis, that’s what the news media want us to think, but there’re still good things happening as well. God is good, so just focus on His goodness alone,” Murphy replied.

All that some have experienced in their lives is bitterness and pain. Part of the reason for this is the work of wicked and evil men and women. These evil manipulators destroy the economies of nations for their own selfish gain. Nevertheless, the Bible says the earth is full of goodness from the Lord; that’s exactly what Psalm 33:5 says, and it’s without any shadow of a doubt.

There’s more than enough food and good things for every human being on the face of the earth to enjoy. There’s more than enough wealth in this world. There’s more than enough grace in this world. There’s more than enough power and ability in this world. It’s one of the reasons God wants us to intercede for all men, so they can enjoy all that He’s blessed them with on earth.

He said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...” (Hosea 4:6). But knowledge has come to you today: all the blessings of God upon the earth are yours to enjoy. So, don’t settle for less. He said in Psalm 50:10-11 CEV, “Every animal in the forest belongs to me, and so do the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds in the mountains, and every wild creature is in my care.” Then in Psalm 24:1 TLB, David said, “The earth belongs to God! Everything in all the world is his!” No wonder Paul said, “...All things are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21), because you’re an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ. Hallelujah!

THE POWER OF WORDS (Be Consistent In Your Confession)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.“

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Open up in Jesus’ name” were the first words Carl heard in his life. He had been deaf since birth, but that all changed the moment he was face-to-face with the man of God. Once those words were uttered by him, Carl’s ears pooped open, and he could hear perfectly, like every other person did. That’s the power of words!

Everything Jesus did—all the miracles He performed— He did with words. Even when He multiplied the five loaves of bread and two fish, it was with words! The Bible says He blessed it (Matthew 14:19) by giving thanks; He activated the power with words. Words are “things”; they possess creative energy. When you talk, energy is released to cause what you’ve said to materialise, positive or negative. The Bible says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue...” (Proverbs 18:21). Don’t confuse your spirit by saying one thing and obscuring it with another.

James 3:11 says sweet and bitter water don’t emanate from the same fountain. Be consistent in your confessions— in your declaration of God’s truths. Truth is consistent. Don’t change your confession on the basis of transient situations or circumstances. Irrespective of how you feel, what you see, or what you hear, hold fast to what you’ve believed and received.

🔊 Speak
I refuse to allow circumstances to dictate the outcome of my life. I don’t stagger at the Word of God through unbelief; I’m ever strong in faith, giving glory to God! No sickness, disease, or infirmity can thrive in my body because I’m joined to the Lord, and I’m one spirit with Him. Divine life and unfailing health and strength are at work in every fibre of my being, in every cell of my blood, and in every bone of my body. Glory to God!

REMEMBER, WE’RE IN CHARGE! (We’ll Keep Restraining Satan Till The Rapture)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Thessalonians 2:7 NIV “For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so until he is taken out of the way.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
I love this scripture: it lets us know that till the Rapture of the Church, we’re in charge of what happens here on earth! All the evil and atrocious plans and agendas of Satan for the nations of the world can’t succeed because of our stand against him. We determine the destiny of nations. Hallelujah! After the Rapture, Satan will have his way according to the Scriptures, but until then, we—the Church of Jesus Christ—are in charge.

Some believe we don’t stand a chance because they’re not part of what we’re doing. They’re like the men of Succoth that the Bible talks about in Judges 8:5, who, instead of supporting Gideon, mocked him because they didn’t believe he and his small number of weary troops were capable of defeating the Midianite warriors. But Gideon succeeded without their support.

As long as we’re not all quiet and ignorant about Satan’s agenda for the world, he can’t lord it over the nations. NEVER! In Ezekiel 22:30, God said, “…I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.” He didn’t say, “I sought for many people.” Therefore, as long as some of us stand our ground on the Word against the devil and his cohorts, their works will be thwarted.

Isaiah 44:25 MSG aptly summarises their end! It says God “...makes the magicians look ridiculous and turns fortunetellers into jokes. He makes the experts look trivial and their latest knowledge look silly.” This is what’s happening around the world because of our prayers. Hallelujah!

🔊 Speak
The Lord is in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments; no name and no power are exempt from His rule, and not just for the time being but forever! I come against the structures, systems, and schemes employed by Satan to propagate his deception and fear across the nations. Those structures are overthrown, and every evil work is exposed, judged, and sentenced, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

LEADERS NEED PRAYERS TOO (Pray Continually For The Leaders Of Nations)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Timothy 2:1-2 NIV “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Mum, why do we always pray for leaders of the nations?” asked Helen. “Well, the Bible tells us to pray for them. Also, remember that the devil tries to manipulate these well-meaning leaders to do evil things. It’s important we pray to stop his influence over them,” her mum explained.

In Acts 13:6–12, there’s an interesting story about Barnabas and Paul’s missionary work in Paphos. While spreading the word of God in the city, the deputy, Sergius Paulus, wanted to hear from them. However, one of his influential officials—a false prophet and sorcerer—tried to interfere with their mission. But Paul, recognising Elymas’ harmful intentions, confronted him and said, “At this very moment the hand of God’s judgment comes down upon you and you will be blind—so blind you won’t even be able to see the light of the sun” (Acts 13:11 TPT). Suddenly, the man went blind and backed off!

Sergius Paulus was wise, but he didn’t realise the negative influence Elymas would have on him, as he was planted by Satan. Therefore, in praying for the leaders of your city, state, or country, remember that there’re times Satan plants his own people among them to distract them from hearing the Word and from getting to know God. Therefore, using the Name of Jesus, break the power of Satan over those who work with leaders and seek to influence or counsel them to go against the will and purposes of God.

Furthermore, command the devil to lose his grip over their minds so the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ would shine unto them. Affirm that their hearts are open to receiving the Gospel willingly, and, as a result, righteousness springs up in their hearts and the wisdom of God guides their thoughts. Glory to God!

🔊 Pray
Father, your desire is for the leaders and peoples of the nations to be saved and for your righteousness to rule their hearts and guide their thinking. Therefore, I pray for the leaders of nations that their hearts be opened and receptive to the Gospel. I pray that your Word will have free course, be glorified, and have prevailing power in their lives, effectively cutting off every negative influence from among them, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

HE LIVES IN YOU FULLY (Christ In You: The Age-Old Mystery Revealed)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Colossians 1:26-27 ESV “The mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Though Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob knew God as El Shaddai, God introduced Himself to Moses as Jehovah (Exodus 6). On this was based the hope of the Old Testament, revealed in the name Emmanuel—“God with us.” (Matthew 1:23). However, God wasn’t really satisfied with being only “Emmanuel”; His plan was different, as revealed to us in Colossians 1:26-27 NIV: “The mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Glory to God!

God’s plan from the beginning wasn’t to be with us or among us but to be in us in His fullness. You may dance, scream, and rejoice that God is with you, but until the reality and realisation of His indwelling dawn on your spirit, your life will be empty. Your life of glory begins with the realisation that Christ literally lives in you.

We see this in Paul’s beautiful prayer in Ephesians 3:1419. He prayed, “…That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” That’s God’s plan right there: that you might be filled (replete) with the fullness of God, as Jesus was filled with the fullness of God.

You have a role in this; otherwise, the Spirit’s prayer through Paul in Ephesians 3:14-18 wouldn’t have been necessary. That’s why He told you to be filled with the Spirit always, and Ephesians 5:18-20 shows you how: “…Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Hallelujah!

🔊 Speak
Christ in me is the hope of glory! I’m eternally grateful for the privilege to be filled with the Spirit always for an all-day, all-time life of victory and dominion through the Holy Ghost! CAN YOU SEE THE PICTURE? (Faith Is The Essence, Not The Process)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“I refuse to entertain lying vanities; all things are mine. I’ve got the admission!” James roared in his room. James had been meditating on and declaring God’s Word to himself until he envisioned himself as a student at his dream college! He didn’t let go of the image or entertain any picture contrary to what he had firmly grasped. He continued praising God and speaking in faith until his admission letter to that college arrived in the mail. Glory to God!

Hebrews 11:1 says faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of unseen realities. That means faith is the essence of hope. In acting your faith, your focus shouldn’t be on the process because faith is the essence, not the process. The Bible says about Abraham: being not weak in faith, he considered not his body now dead, neither the deadness of Sarah’s womb, but he was strong in faith—in the essence. Hallelujah!

Abraham’s focus wasn’t on how the baby Isaac would come but on God from whom he’d come, for God had given him His Word of promise, and he counted God faithful to His Word. He saw the baby with the eyes of faith. Today, what are you seeing? What has your faith pictured? What has your spirit taken a hold of? Hold on to the picture that you want and refuse to worry about how it’ll navigate to you! Don’t think, “Who does God have over there to make this or that happen for me? No! Your part is to stay focused on Him; stay your heart and your mind on what you want.

Your hope shouldn’t be on someone helping you with the money but on God—your source. Every so often, make bold faith proclamations and refuse contrary signs, feelings or fears, giving glory to God! Remember, what you see is what you get. Hold on to the picture because when you look away, it dissipates. But when you look at it, you see it in action, and it manifests. That’s what’s important. Hold on to it.

YOU’VE BEEN DETACHED (You Don’t Belong To The World)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 15:19 NIV “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“My head hurts! The weather is making me sick,” exclaimed Robin. “Robin, remember you’re born again; don’t speak like the world does because as Jesus is, so are you today. He’s neither sick nor subject to the weather,” Marcus reminded him.

God expects you to live above this world because you’re not of this world. That’s why the Spirit, speaking through the Apostle Paul, warns in Colossians 2:20: “Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations?” Refuse to allow your actions, reactions, thoughts, words, and responses to be influenced or conditioned by the elements and rudiments of this world.

Now that you’re born again, you live in two worlds: the physical world and the spiritual world. Be more conscious of the spiritual realm into which you’re born of God, and function in it. Live the life of heaven on earth because you’re a citizen of heaven. “…We are citizens of heaven and are eagerly waiting for our Savior to come from there.…” (Philippians 3:20 CEV). Your outlook on life and your contemplations should be guided by the Word. That way, no matter what happens, you’ll always win.

Recall the words of Jesus in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” You overcame the world in Him. Therefore, dominate this world with the principles of God’s kingdom and with your faith: “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith” (1 John 5:4). Hallelujah!
