KNOWLEDGE IS IMPORTANT (Let The Word Of God Dwell In You Richly)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 2:9 ‘…As it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”’
▶️ LET’S TALK
There’s so much that the Lord wants to do through His children on earth in these last days, but the limiting factor for many has been knowledge. How can you ever hope for something that you don’t even know exists? You can’t expect something that your imagination can’t fathom. But thank God, the Bible says that in the last days, knowledge shall be increased (Daniel 12:4).
Through this knowledge, we’re doing the impossible, the unthinkable, and the unimaginable. The Holy Spirit is helping and preparing the Church for what He wants to do by availing us of true, accurate, and precise knowledge of His Word. Through Him, we know the things that are freely given to us by God: “Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God” (1 Corinthians 2:12 NASB).
Your life will only be limited by the amount of knowledge and understanding you have. There’s a whole lot that happens to you when you get the right knowledge, that is, the knowledge of God’s Word. Your capacity is tremendously increased; you become aware and are able to comprehend the wonderful blessings God has prepared for you to enjoy. Acts 20:32 declares, “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”
You already have an inheritance passed on to you in Christ, but through the knowledge of God, you’re able to take hold of what’s rightfully yours. I admonish you today, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Colossians 3:16). Hallelujah!

PATIENTLY HANDLE THAT TRIAL (Let Patience Have Its Full Effect)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
James 1:2-4 TPT “...When it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up in you the power of endurance. And then as your endurance grows even stronger, it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Trials and temptations, as difficult as they are, are for your good. You’ll ultimately find joy in them. Your faith blossoms under pressure, and you learn true patience as you endure. Sometimes we want God to effect a change right away. We’re praying about a situation or something we want to prevent from happening, and we want instant answers. But there’re times when patience is needed while expressing your faith.
God never wants us to panic at such times. Yes, there’ll be challenging times and uncomfortable circumstances, but the Word encourages us to count them all joy, knowing that the trying of our faith produces patience in us. Then the fourth verse tells us what patience, in turn, produces in us when we allow it to do its work and have its full effect. So don’t keep pushing and agitating; you could miss out on God’s plan.
Let’s read James 1:4 again, this time in the Amplified Classic version. It says, “But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.” This is what patience produces in us: we become perfectly and fully developed (with no defects), lacking in nothing.” Glory to God!

CASH IN GOD’S PROMISES (If God Said It, You Can Take It To The Bank)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Peter 1:4 “By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Let’s break down the opening verse of scripture a bit because the word translated as “promises” in our opening verse needs to be properly understood. In the New Testament, the Greek word “epaggelia” was translated as “promise” more than fifty times. However, in 2 Peter, another Greek word “epaggelma” was translated as “promise” only twice (2 Peter 1:4 and 2 Peter 3:13). This is a different type of promise from “epaggelia.”
Let me explain further: The first type of promise “epaggelia” that you find in scriptures as Acts 2:39, Romans 4:13, Ephesians 6:2, just to mention a few, is futuristic. It’s like when one says, “I’ll give you $20,000 tomorrow.” That’s a promise for the future. But there’s another type when someone tells you, “I’ll give you $20,000” and then proceeds to write a cheque that’s dated today.
Now, that cheque is the promise, not the money. The promise is that if you take the cheque to the bank, the money will be there. So, it depends on whenever you want to cash it. If the first type of promise fails, there might be no consequences; but not the second one; it must not fail. If it fails, that’s a criminal offence in financial terms because it’ll be a dud cheque.
This second type of promise (Greek: “epaggelma”) is what’s written in our opening verse. These aren’t futuristic promises but promises backed already with fulfillment. They’re real already, waiting for whenever you want them “cashed.” Observe again what the Word says in 2 Peter 1:4: “…By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature….” This means that by “cashing” these precious promises, we become associates of the God-kind. Hallelujah!
In other words, when you cash in these promises, you live the divine life. But how do you cash them? Well, you start speaking God’s language. You start declaring words of faith that line up with what God says. That’s the key to unlocking those promises and living the God-life that you’ve been called to live.

ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED (Live In The Reality Of Your Right-Standing In Christ)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 1:5-6 “…According to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
“Tania, why are you sitting all by yourself, looking forlorn?” Elaine asked as she walked in on Tania in an empty classroom.
“I just feel like I’m not doing enough to please God; I’m not sure He accepts me for me,” Tania replied dejectedly.
“No Tania, I know you think that God doesn’t accept you, but He actually has!” Elaine exclaimed. “The Bible tells us that we’re accepted in Christ Jesus the Beloved; this means we’re not justified by the things we do for the Lord or condemned by things we don’t do.”
Many young people, like Tania, think that God will accept them on the basis of their good works. But your good works aren’t enough to give you right standing with God. The Bible says, “…By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Furthermore, Galatians 2:16 ESV says, “…We know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ…by works of the law no one will be justified.” The struggle to live right and to please God so you’ll be accepted by Him is unnecessary. Why would you try so hard to get on His “good graces,” struggling to be accepted by Him, when the Spirit already calls us “...accepted in the Beloved” (Ephesians 1:6)? You’ve been accepted and declared righteous before God.
God chose you before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blame before Him in love, and He predestined you to be accepted in His presence (Ephesians 1:4-6). Because of His righteousness in your spirit, you can stand boldly in the presence of God without guilt, inferiority, or condemnation. In Christ, you have right standing before God. Hallelujah!
Now that you’re born again, you dwell in God’s presence, and you’re at liberty to serve Him as He desires. Christianity, for you, should be an everyday experience of divine fellowship. Accept these truths and live to please Him accordingly.

EARTH, YOUR TRAINING GROUND (Prepare Yourself For Greater Kingdom Responsibilities)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Revelation 11:15 “…The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”
▶️ LET’S TALK
In our previous study, we learnt about the Kingdom of heaven and how its purpose is to establish the Kingdom of God in the earth. Let’s talk a bit more about the Kingdom of heaven. The Bible says, “...The government will be upon His shoulder…” (Isaiah 9:6). This is dealing with His structures and political arrangement.
Though the Kingdom of Heaven is already in the earth and ruling the spirit world, it’s not yet governing the people of the world. To better understand this, think of a political party that already has active party members but hasn’t assumed authority over the government of its state or nation. When that party eventually takes over the government, everything changes.
In the same way, once the Kingdom of God is truly and duly established in the earth, then the Kingdom of Heaven takes over! For now, the political structures in the world today continue to nosedive, and the world will keep having more problems until the Rapture takes place. The period of tribulation will then follow, after which the Lord Jesus will appear from heaven. The Bible says in Daniel 7:27: “Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.” Once the Lord Jesus returns at His second coming, He will get the Kingdom! He’ll establish His political structures on earth and take over. Hallelujah! He’ll reign and rule and, in the end, deliver the Kingdom to God the Father.
Remember, our actions for the Lord today are not just isolated tasks; they are preparations for significant responsibilities in the future Kingdom. Therefore, serve the Lord with your whole heart, and make up your mind to accomplish big things for the Kingdom, knowing that there’s a lot more beyond this life.

BE A KINGDOM AMBASSADOR (Get Known For Advancing The Kingdom)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Matthew 6:13 “...For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
“My dad took me and my little brother on a short trip to a foreign embassy last weekend,” Michelle shared with her best friend, Rachel.
“Really? How was the experience?” Rachel asked excitedly.
“Quite unusual, Ree. It almost felt like we had temporarily left this country. Everything, including the elevator voice announcer, spoke in a funny language! We also met the foreign ambassador, and he spoke in this foreign language with my dad; it was pretty neat!”
“It seems like you had a true cultural representation of that country, as though you had travelled there,” Rachel remarked.
Much like that foreign embassy and its ambassador, we’ve been called to represent the culture of our heavenly Kingdom in our world. Looking at the concluding part of the prayer format above (Matthew 6:13), we see the Lord teaching His disciples to say about the Kingdom of God: “…For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
In St. Matthew’s gospel, there’s another expression used— the Kingdom of Heaven—though interchangeably used with the Kingdom of God, it is different. The Kingdom of God refers to the rulership or dominion of God, which transcends territories and is universal, while the Kingdom of Heaven is applied particularly in connection to the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and His messianic reign. It’s that part of the Kingdom of God that’s established in the earth and is headed by Jesus.
The vision of the Kingdom of Heaven is the establishment and expansion of the Kingdom of God in the earth; it’s the work of Jesus Christ, of which we, the Church, are a vital part. Each one of us actually has the responsibility of seeing to the expansion of God’s Kingdom because we belong there and it’s important that you know your role. Devote your time, effort, and resources to Gospel propagation because there’s so much more you can do to ensure God’s Word prevails in your city, region, country, and the world.

WHAT IS EVERLASTING LIFE? (It Begins But Has No End)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Our opening verse is about the most popular verse in the Bible. It contains the most powerful and informative words in Scripture. It says anyone who believes in the Son of God has everlasting life, meaning they’re separated from the path of destruction, waste, failure, damage, etc. So, what exactly is everlasting life? Is it life that just goes on and on? No, that definition doesn’t even scratch the surface of what it is.
To understand everlasting life, you first have to know what eternal life is. This might come as a surprise to some people who thought they were the same, but there’s a difference. To be eternal is to be ageless—ageless without a beginning and ageless without an end. It’s a life that has no beginning and no end; it’s timeless. Eternity, thus, refers to timelessness and agelessness.
More specifically, it’s a life that cannot be corrupted or destroyed; it’s imperishable, unending, and it isn’t subject to failure or death. It’s the life and nature of God and the reason why He’s called the Eternal One. The Bible says in Psalm 90:2, “Before you created the hills or brought the world into being, you were eternally God, and will be God for ever” (GNB).
Now, having understood eternal life, look at this: everlasting life is eternal life that has a beginning but no end. The angels, for instance, have eternal life with a beginning. Though they live forever, they had a beginning. Almighty God, however, has no beginning; He’s absolutely eternal.
When you’re born again, you receive eternal life and become everlasting. You’re brought from your humanity into eternity. Receiving that life is your first entry into it; that’s the beginning of your life in eternity. From there on, you become a part of an endless life that’s imperishable, indestructible, and incorruptible.

REALITY BEYOND THE FACTS (The Difference Between Truth And Fact)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 14:6 ‘Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”’
▶️ LET’S TALK
If you don’t know Jesus, you can never truly grasp truth. Facts may be present, but without Jesus, truth remains elusive. It’s important to distinguish between facts and truth. Facts are sensory-based information about what exists or has occurred. Truth, on the other hand, is reality beyond the senses. According to the Scriptures, the Word of God is truth—reality: “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth” (John 17:17).
Truth is an affirmation of what God has said about any given condition, situation, or circumstance. Truth is spiritual law. Someone may tell you a “fact” but not tell you the truth because truth goes beyond facts. Truth delves into motives, revealing the driving forces behind actions.
In a law court, for example, one of the things the justice system looks at is the accused’s motive, purpose, or intent in committing a crime. However, time and time again, these unreliable systems of criminal justice have misjudged and convicted the wrong people because they deal mainly with facts.
So how can you judge a person’s motive? You have to know his heart. How can you know a man’s heart? God’s Word—the truth—that exposes, sifts, analyses, and judges the very thoughts and purposes of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). Therefore, always subject the facts about any situation to the truth of God’s Word. Override facts with truths. For example, it doesn’t matter the facts resulting from the doctor’s diagnosis concerning your health; the truth is that you have divine life; therefore, divine health is your nature in Christ.
Sickness, disease, and infirmities have no place in your body. Hallelujah! Truth is greater than fact. Live in and by God’s truth today and every day. Hallelujah!

DO YOU UNDERSTAND? (You’ve Been Granted Spiritual Insight And Understanding)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Colossians 1:9 NIV “For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Apostle Paul, inspired by the Spirit, offered a powerful prayer for the Christians in Colossae. He prayed that they would be filled with the knowledge of God’s will, coupled with wisdom and spiritual understanding. It lets us know that there’s such a thing as spiritual understanding, just as there’s a natural understanding. It takes the Holy Spirit to open your eyes and give you spiritual understanding. He unveils mysteries and secrets of the Kingdom to you. He’s the Spirit of truth, and part of His ministry in your life involves revealing truth to you.
It brings to mind another prayer of the Spirit through Paul in Ephesians 1:17 AMPC: “For I always pray to God… that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him.” Without the understanding and insight that the Spirit gives, your interpretation of life would be ordinary, mundane and useless. It will be difficult to grasp spiritual realities.
Consider the disciples of Jesus for example; though they had been with the Master, they didn’t understand many things that He taught them because they hadn’t received the Holy Spirit. When He spoke of His death, burial, and resurrection, they grappled with it because they lacked spiritual insight and understanding at the time. That’s how come even after He rose from the dead, some of them still doubted. But after His resurrection, when He came among them, the Bible says ‘…He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit”’ (John 20:22).
What He did was to open their understanding by the Holy Spirit so they could receive and comprehend spiritual realities. From then on, they had spiritual insight; they understood the words of Jesus. When the Holy Spirit comes into your life, He gives you understanding so you’re no longer in the dark about God’s Word, life, or anything. Through that insight and understanding, you know the paths of life that bring success, joy, victory and prosperity; you’re led in wisdom, glory, and righteousness. Hallelujah!

THERE’S POTENTIAL WITHIN YOU (Activate The Hidden Abilities God Put Inside You)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Peter 4:10 AMPC “…Each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God’s many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor].”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Potential is a latent ability, a hidden power that hasn’t been developed. It is that unused ability, hidden away in the inner recesses of your heart, mind, and soul. Potential is what you could be that you aren’t yet, what you could do that you haven’t done, or everything inside you that is yet to be actuated. Potential doesn’t refer to the successes you’ve achieved but the ones that are possible that you’re yet to achieve.
Many have lived and died without activating their potential or fulfilling God’s dream for them; many have died without becoming what He wanted them to be. Nothing could be more miserable than that! How would you feel if, at the judgment seat of Christ, you’re shown everything you could have been and the possibilities you could have fulfilled but that were never actuated? Get to know the real you through the Word and stand up to be what the Word has described you to be: one with limitless possibilities and the ability to do more and be more.
Remember the words of the Lord Jesus in John 12:24. He said, “Listen carefully: Unless a grain of wheat is buried in the ground, dead to the world, it is never any more than a grain of wheat. But if it is buried, it sprouts and reproduces itself many times over” (MSG). A seed has the potential of not just becoming a tree but a forest. Every tree has the potential of a forest. God doesn’t only reserve the rights but also intends to hold everyone accountable for their potentials.
At the Judgment, some are going to see all that they were meant to be that they never became, all they could have said that they never said, and all they could have done that they never did (2 Corinthians 5:10). So, make up your mind you’d be everything God has chosen you to be. Trust the Holy Spirit to help you see and live to your fullest potential and fulfill your destiny and calling in Christ.

John 14:9 CEV “Jesus replied: Philip, I have been with you for a long time. Don’t you know who I am? If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. How can you ask me to show you the Father?”
▶️ LET’S TALK
All over the world, people pray in the Name of Jesus. They preach about Him on the streets and every week in churches. Some have written books about Him, sung about Him, and prophesied in His Name. But a very painful reality is that many don’t know who He really is. True, they’ve heard about Him, but He’s not merely “a great religious leader” that many know Him as; He is God.
Sadly, even among preachers, some only know Him as the Saviour who saved the world from their sins. But Jesus Christ is much more than that. He is God Himself: the omnipotent, immortal God, living in the unapproachable light of divine glory, coequal with the Father, and the full embodiment of the God-head (Colossians 1:19; 2:9; 1 Timothy 6:14–16).
Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of all, who has all authority in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. We’re His witnesses, and we have to let the world know that He’s real and that He came to die as a man for all men; He was raised from the dead and lives forever.
Let’s get busy telling the whole world about Him. The work we’re doing here on earth isn’t an end in itself. One day, we will have shared with the last person the Gospel of Jesus Christ; we will have held the last conference or the last church service; we will have completed everything He asked us to do; and then we’ll hear that trumpet sound. The Lord will appear, and we’ll receive crowns of glory: “And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away” (1 Peter 5:4 NIV). Glory to His Name forever!

THE ONUS IS ON YOU (You Have The Choice To Fulfil God’s Plan For Your Life)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 2:10 AMPC “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
▶️ LET’S TALK
“Ashley, did you go to Church yesterday? You’re aware yesterday was Sunday, right?” Beatrice asked.
“Yeah, God didn’t let me go because my steps are predestinated by the Lord!” Ashley replied.
“No, Ashley, that’s wrong because you chose not to go! Remember Hebrews 10:25 TPT says: ‘This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing....’ God won’t force you to do His Word; you’re the one to fulfil His plans for you.”
“Okay Bee, I’m sorry I missed Church; I’ll be there next time.”
Sometimes people wonder about predestination. Well, for those in Christ, the answer is simple: Yes! The Bible says He predestinated us for the good life; we just read it in our opening verse! On the other hand, others wonder about another idea of God controlling their every act or making decisions for them: “Is God responsible for everything that happens in my life? Does God make me do things beyond my will?” they ask. No, not really, because you’re a free moral agent; you’re responsible for your decisions and actions.
The day you become an adult, you become responsible for your life, and the onus comes on you to make the right decisions in line with God’s destiny and perfect will for you. Just because God predestined your life in Christ for something doesn’t mean you’ll fulfil it. People don’t necessarily become what God planned for them to be. It’s a personal choice you make to fulfil God’s plan for your life and be all that He’s destined you to be.
Apostle Paul told Archippus: “...Fulfill the stewardship which you have received in the Lord” (Colossians 4:17 AMPC). If the man didn’t have the responsibility of fulfilling the ministry that God committed to him, Paul wouldn’t have instructed him to see to it that he fulfilled it. So today, make up your mind that you’ll be everything God has destined you to be, do all that He’s predestined you to do, and walk in His pre-ordained pathways.

THE WONDER OF CHRISTIANITY (Christ In You: A Mystery Unveiled To The Church)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Colossians 1:27 “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
“John, how come you never fall sick? I’ve been watching you for some time now, and you’re in class today when everyone else caught the flu; what gives?” Geneviève asked.
“That’s because Christ lives in me; He’s the life and health of my physical body. As Christ is, so am I in this world, and He’s never ever sick!”
To have the vital knowledge and live with the consciousness that Christ lives in you is one of the greatest blessings of Christianity. It is, in fact, your solution to all problems and answer to all questions. Christ in you is the wonder of Christianity. When Jesus walked the earth, He was with the disciples as Emmanuel, God with us. But the Father’s dream was yet to be consummated. He wanted all of divinity in us, not just with us. He wanted His Spirit in us.
It’s the reason Jesus said, “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you” (John 14:16-17). The desire of the Father was set into motion on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came to live in us. Consider the amazing truth in Romans 8:11: “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
This means Christ in you—the Holy Spirit in you—is the life of your physical body; it’s your health, your deliverance, wholeness, and preservation. Christ in you is your right to walk out of any pain. Christ in you is your power over every crisis; it’s your dominion over darkness, poverty, lack, and want. Hallelujah! Christ in you is the greatest blessing of all. Glory be to God!

HOLD ON TO GOD’S TRUTH (Shape Your Reality With God’s Word)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 8:32 RSV “...You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Contrary to what many young people believe today, there’s no such thing as “your truth” or “my truth.” In order for truth to maintain its nature as truth, it can’t be subjective or tailored specifically to one person. So, what really is “truth”? Truth is reality; truth is the Word of God. In John 17:17, Jesus said in prayer to the Father, “…Your word is truth.” Truth is in what God says, and all of this is captured in His Word to you.
As a result of ignoring God’s Word—which is His truth— many have their lives in jeopardy and experience defeat, sadness, gloom, failure and sickness. This is really touching; it’s one of the reasons we teach young people God’s Word through this devotional so they’ll walk in truth and in the realities of the new life in Christ. The Bible says through knowledge shall the righteous be delivered (Proverbs 11:9); the knowledge of who you are in Christ and your inheritance in Him will transform the entire quality of your life.
The Bible says, “But you are a chosen generation...“ (1 Peter 2:9). The word “generation” is the same word for “breed.” As a Christian, you’re a special breed, superior to sickness, disease and everything of darkness and the devil. Also, you have an incorruptible life—a life of victory, success, excellence and great glory. It’s a life that can’t be infected by any plague or disease.
You can’t be poisoned or destroyed. Jesus said, “And these signs will follow those who believe… if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them…” (Mark 16:17-18). You’re a partaker of the divine nature. The life in you is divine and sustained by the Spirit of God who lives in you (Romans 8:11). So, what do you do with these truths about you? Consciously affirm and declare them to yourself every so often. Exercise yourself thoroughly in these truths and you’ll live with the consciousness of God’s Word about you!

THE TRUE ROYAL “BLOODLINE” (You Belong To A Genuine Royal Lineage)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Peter 2:9 AMPC “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
The verse we just read is incredibly powerful! I still remember the rush of excitement and joy I felt when I first came across it as a young person. Even now, it fills me with a sense of awe and happiness whenever I think about it. We’re part of a truly special royal lineage.
Did you notice how the apostle Peter didn’t say, “But you shall be?” Instead, he boldly declares, “But you are!” This isn’t just a promise for the future; it’s a reality right now. God knows us better than anyone else, and His Word shows us who we truly are. We’re not just a royal priesthood; we’re actual royalty. This goes beyond the status of any earthly royal family. Their titles are based on politics, but ours comes from our divine heritage.
Take another look at the opening scripture: “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people….” How were we purchased? The Bible tells us, “You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold, but [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot” (1 Peter 1:18-19 AMPC).
The blood of Jesus represents His life, and it shows how valuable you truly are. Through His sacrifice, you rise above the negative influences of the world. You belong to a genuine royal lineage. Your heavenly Father rules over the entire universe, and you’re His cherished heir—His most precious possession!

THE GOD-BORN (You’re Not Ordinary; You’re Born Of God)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 1:12-13 “…As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
The life of a Christian is anything but ordinary. He’s born into God’s class. Being born again made you a partaker of the divine nature, an associate of the God-kind (2 Peter 1:4). When you were born of your biological parents, you became an associate of the humankind; you became as human as your parents who gave birth to you. However, the human life you got from your parents was flawed, depraved, and death-doomed. Therefore, it needed to be replaced by the life and nature of God. It’s the reason Jesus said, “Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again’” (John 3:7).
Now that you’re born again, the unstoppable, indestructible, and heavenly life of God has replaced the old human life. Wrap your head around this: We’re literally God’s children, born of His own essence! No wonder John cries out, “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God… Beloved, now we are children of God…” (1 John 3:1-2). Everything in life reproduces after its kind. An eagle reproduces eagles, a dog gives birth to dogs, and humans give birth to humans. Now, since God gave birth to us, who are we?
The Lord Jesus, quoting the Psalmist, gives us the answer. He said, “…Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’?” (John 10:34). Think about yourself the same way you’d think about Jesus when He walked the earth—how He lived, His extraordinary walk! The scripture declares, “...As He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). Hallelujah!

FREE BUT NOT CHEAP (Those Before Us Gave Their Lives For The Gospel)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 20:24 TLB “…Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about God’s mighty kindness and love.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
“Why haven’t you attended church for a month now?” Pastor Phil inquired of Julius.
“I don’t know; do I have to be there every single time?” Julius responded sarcastically.
“Julius, do you understand that our fellowship with one another came at a cost? People sacrificed their lives— through sweat, blood, and tears—so that the Gospel could reach you. It’s freely available, yes, but it certainly wasn’t cheap.”
“I’m sorry, Pastor Phil. I didn’t realise the significance of my action. I’ll make sure to be there next time.”
In Acts 20:17–27, Luke tells us how Paul and his team left Troas and sailed to Miletus, where he gave his heartfelt farewell to the elders of Ephesus. There, he reminded them of how he served the Lord with all humility, in tears, in the midst of adversity, affliction, and trials. In the twenty-third verse, he said, “…The Holy Spirit clearly and emphatically affirms to me in city after city that imprisonment and suffering await me. But none of these things move me; neither do I esteem my life dear to myself…” (Acts 20:23-24 AMPC). What an inspiring commitment!
When you go through the scriptures written by Apostle Paul and the other apostles of the Lord, think about what it cost them to get the message across to us. Study Church history, and you’ll discover that many of them were killed for the sake of the Gospel. Read about Stephen. His success in converting Jews drew the indignation of the Sanhedrin, and he was stoned to death.
Some were beheaded, crucified, and burned at the stakes, while others were thrown into cauldrons of boiling oil. So, you have to count the cost. Nothing should be too much for you to give up, give, or go through for the Gospel. No matter the sacrifices you make for the Gospel, be ready and willing to give your life for it if it comes to that.
